The ice cream was so good, we went back last weekend and I tried the Butter Pecan in a waffle cone. By the way, the waffle cones are super fresh and are just as good. The Butter Pecan had huge chunks of pecans and was super satisfying. A must stop if you have company visiting. They have a great flavor offering and you can also build your own ice if you'd like. I've been a few times, but recently I took my nieces and they both decided to get the Mug flavor which is not a fruity flavor. It leans towards cinnamon, root beer and coffee flavors and it was surprisingly soooo good. I cannot wait to get that the next time I go. I think as customer service since there wasn't direction, you could've at least say "excuse me, sorry for the wait but all orders for ice cream, the line starts here. But I see you have kids and waited for a long while, let me take care of these orders first and I will take yours next." Either way, we still had to wait but communicating to your customers is key. Another thing I didn't understand was they had waffle bowls displayed but was told they didn't have them. Was so confused when I was told twice they didn't have them. I didn't want to argue since we waited already and the line was picking up, so got the same cone for all orders. Was rushed to order and could tell that by ordering four types of ice cream was too much. I wasn't the only one that felt like an inconvenience or confused an order wasn't available, the guy that tried to order an ice coffee had to ask a few times if it had espresso which was odd to ask and be told it didn't have any in it and had to manually add one and pay for it, "brown sugar shaken espresso latte". It's a small, charming place with a lovely variety of flavors--and the staff was super kind and patient while we sampled quite a few options before making our final picks. (They didn't rush us at all, which was really appreciated.) I ended up going with the Strawberry Basil Gelato, which was light, refreshing, and surprisingly delicious--especially considering I don't usually go for strawberry anything. But this combo? It was giving elevated, not-too-sweet, and just the right balance. I think I'm officially in my icy era... we've done snowballs, Italian ices, and now gelato--so I'm fully committed to the frozen life right now. Is it dog friendly? Not quite.
