This guy is a crook. first of all he said it was $29 for a diagnostic which I told him exactly what was wrong. He quoted $30 which should have gone in to the total cost of the repair. He calls and says it's going to cost $140, then asks do I want to buy a battery for another $60. When checking prices on Amazon they run from $19-$50. I said I didn't want the battery. I get there and ask how much again, he tells me $217 I say what, he says for taxes. He is still trying to get me to pay for this battery I said I didn't want. What a crook. Of course there is labor but just lying and trying to make me pay for something I don't want. I would try other places and use them as a last resort. I told him I would have to leave my computer because I could not afford it, he said $150 but if I left a review on Yelp he'd give it to me for $140, the original price he told me in the first place. read more

I was clearly told that replacing the screen would cost $40 -- that's the only reason I drove across town to bring my computer. I dropped off my computer, paid the $40, and was told the screen would be replaced within an hour if they had the part in stock, or that it would take 4 days if they had to order it. After waiting an hour, I followed up to ask about the status. That's when I was suddenly told that the $40 only covered the labor and that I would need to pay an additional $125 plus tax for the part. I immediately told them that I didn't want the repair at that price, that I would pick up my computer, and that I expected my $40 back since no work had been done. However, when I arrived to collect my computer and requested a refund, I was told that the $40 was non-refundable because they had supposedly performed some kind of "diagnostic." We rode over to this business and paid a service fee of $49.99 to have them let us know what was actually wrong with the computer and why the screws kept falling out. I took my large (and heavy) Brother printer (MFC-L3770CDW) to this company to have the fuser replaced. So, they replaced the fuser, but when I returned home with my printer, I found they had failed to reset the counter. When I called the owner back to inquire about the issue, his response was ..."(J)ust bring the printer back to reset the counter." Why wasn't that done at the time the fuser was replaced? As it turned out, the next repair facility determined that Laptoprepairs had overlooked OTHER, needed repairs (e.g., a new belt), which was clearly identified when checking the Machine Info on my printer. Do NOT Recommend! This place gave off bad vibes from the start but decided to give them a shot for printer repair, as the google reviews weren't too bad. My printer had a paper jam and had an error message that would not go away. When I called for pricing, I was told it would be $55 and that they would definitely be able to fix my printer. To drop it off I had to make an appointment- their hours are not as advertised, closing by 3pm most days. When I arrived to drop off, I was told it would be $65, I mentioned the $55 price I was given over the phone, and was then told I must have been given the "online special." The man told me I would get a phone call the next day, and said to "cross my fingers it doesn't need parts." I did not get a call back. I had to instead call them for an update a few days later. I was told that the printer needed new parts, but Canon had "a program" where they would send in my printer and I could buy a new printer for $190. I declined that offer and had to wait another day to pick up my printer so they could reassemble it. When picking it up, it was not in the same condition and was not reassembled. After my experience, it very much seems like a scam business model to take a "deposit" when they very well know they won't be repairing anything. They steal from people!!! I went to them because they said they had a power adapter for my desktop I just got from best buy. They made me bring it into the store and they gave me a used adapter . My desktop didn't work but there technician said it was the Ram and that the power adapter was correct one . So I believed them cause they are suppose to know what they are talking about I took back to best buy and they tried with the correct adapter and it powered up perfectly. This is a split review due to the fact I have used them twice but had two completely different outcomes. The first time I needed my motherboard replaced after it went out on me. The computer itself still will run you close to a $1K and its years old. With the software its worth a lot more. It was well worth it to get it replaced. They did an amazing job and I was very happy so would rate them with 5 stars for this visit. Fast forward a few years and my fan was going out. Going out but not out yet. I ordered the fan and took it into them to have it replaced. I was told it would take a day. I called on the third day and asked them how it was going. He told me that my computer was full of virus's. "Oh really" I thought to myself. Considering it was password protected and with all the files I have on it I know how long it would take to do a scan on it. On top of that I have top notch virus protection. He said it would cost me I forgot how much to get rid of all the viruses. I had already paid to have the fan put in. I was polite and declined but did not say what I was thinking. "LIAR!" I know how easy fans are to do because I had replaced it on that computer already myself. I just didn't have the area to work on it anymore and had an accident so my wrist wont bend but its something I have done myself. I have built computers before. It was a Thursday morning and I tried calling Thursday even and got no answer. I left a message. I called again a couple times and again no answer so left messages asking WTF? I don't get a hold of him until Monday afternoon. At this point I'm fairly irritated but still was polite after he had lied to me about my computer being full of viruses then not having the fan done a day after he said it would be done then had ignored my calls from Friday till Monday. That is when he informed me that my fan was fine. My motherboard was the problem it had gone out. He had one he would sell me for over $200. I had used it sitting in the parking lot waiting for him to get back the day I dropped it off and was working just fine. It was just a fan issue. Now he tells me that its my motherboard and it wasn't my fan? He of course replaced the fan which he had said wasn't the issue. How did my motherboard suddenly go out? When I dropped it off it was fine and considering he had lied to me a couple times then couldn't get a hold of him for days and know that he didn't have the motherboard for my computer. Mine was very specific. It was also about $125 nowhere near over $200. If you take something to be repaired something specific and then when you come back suddenly it doesn't work any good business would take responsibility for it since it happened when they had it. I got home thinking hey if it's going out I'll just get on and order a new one. Well now the computer wouldn't boot at all. Yet it had power so knew it wasn't the motherboard as he had said. So far he had lied more times than I can count at this point. I pulled out my other laptop and have been using that until I can get it in somewhere else to find out WTF happened. It kind of seems like the screen was disconnected. Considering he tried left and right to charge me for different things I knew were BS he probably didn't expect me to pick it up and take it home. Why if it wasn't the fan did, he replace the fan? All around bad experience and lied to more times than I can count and now my laptop isn't working when it was just fine when I dropped it off. Part of me because of my first experience there wants to just go in and tell him everything I wrote here and have him hopefully fix the problem that occurred when he had it. Or he will argue with me and I'll just leave. I am unsure at this point if I will even go back. So with the first being good and the last being the worst I've ever had in my life I am going to have to give it two and a half stars. I was searching for a computer company that could help my 80+ year old mom. She was having issues with her laptop communicating with her printer. She couldn't print from her laptop nor from the printer itself. I set up the appointment for an arrival time between 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. She was asked to pay cash. We did. At 12:15p.m., I had to call the company because we had not heard from the technician. NO phone call. This is something the company should do, regardless of why the technician is running late. My mom was sitting around the house, waiting for this person to arrive. When someone is going to be late or is running behind( or ahead of schedule), someone from the company should make a courtesy call to update the customer. When he arrived around 2:00 p.m. he was gruff and made my mom uncomfortable with his attitude. He immediately asked for the money, BEFORE, HE LOOKED AT THE COMPUTER OR THE PRINTER. He told her, he would not proceed unless she paid him. HMMMMMM????? She did and they proceeding to go up the stairs where he looked at the printer and said, the toners must be dried out. You need new toner. He looked at the laptop, tapped a few keys and said, yep, you need a new printer. GOOD-BYE! WOW!! I assure you, once he left she called me immediately and she was very upset and uneasy on this entire process. I would not recommend this company. Call someone else. This is my experience. Brought in my iPad with a cracked screen after being told it could be repaired for $39. Turns out the $39 was to just check out the problem. The next day I got a call from the company advising that it will cost over $800 to repair the iPad using Apple equipment or about $450 using aftermarket equipment. I was advised that not only was the screen cracked, but a circuit board behind the LCD screen was.cracked and damaged. When I asked why the iPad continued to work with a cracked circuit board, I was told that it will continue working "intermittently " with broken circuit boards.........which I found very suspect. I refused further service and was told the iPad could be picked up after it was re-assembled. Turns out no assembly was necessary because they never removed the cracked screen, which would be necessary to access damage beyond the screen. In fact, I paid $39 for nothing. I picked up my iPad in the exact same condition as when it was dropped off, cracked screen and all. Apparently, this company hoped I would agree to the expensive repair, they would just slap a screen on my iPad, and claim that the circuit board was repaired. I took my tablet pc to your company on August 20, 2016 because you promised that you could quickly repair my defective power port. I delivered the computer to you at nine a.m. At 3:30 p.m., after having been promised that it would take no more than an hour or two for you to repair my computer, I called you. You informed me that the power port was soldered to the board and you could not repair it that day. Rather, you could repair it in two weeks for another 700 dollars. I declined to accept your services and picked up my computer. I then contacted the manufacturer and was told that because you had opened my computer the warranty was voided. Understandable: I instructed you to open the machine as I needed it repaired quickly. When I returned home I took the machine to the vendor and asked him to fix it. He did. He also informed me that until he opened the machine it had never been opened. He also informed me that the power port was not soldered to the board, but plugged to the board with a standard plug. So what kind of business do you run? You charge me a premium to work on my machine quickly. You don't even look at my machine. You wait hours, in fact you make me contact you to determine the status of my "repair", and then you tell me it will take two weeks and 700 dollars to effect a repair that the vendor affected for me in 15 minutes and at no charge?
