When I called and set the meet at my home I told the receptionist or who ever answered the phone my situation that I needed a VPN installed in my smart tv to enable my phillies games viewable without any blackouts which are a major issue in las vegas.the tech. Named Ash could only recommend installing a laptop to my direct tv controller as my smart tv. a samsung did not have the application or software for this to happen. I basically paid $75 for a half hour with no results or really any viable solutions other than buy a Roku stick and have them assist in installing when I purchase from Amazon I would think they would at least do basic research as they are Nerds before arriving when charging $75 a half hour and $28 dollars for travel which in my case is approx. 4 miles from their to my house.Most businesses are required to do basic research before entering a situation blind and starting on your dime if you know what I mean! Theses guys got my broken, half installed home Wi-Fi system up and running better than new. After a couple power outages in June I had no Wi-Fi. The Access Points (APs) and my ring doorbell had no power. I rebooted the modem and Wi-Fi was back but the other devices still had no power. I tried to get support from Lennar and ruckus (the manufacturer of the switch). That was an exercise in futility. I learned a lot reading their community support website but no support was provided. I scheduled an appointment, Cesar showed up on time with a part that he thought would solve my problem. He was right. The new switch worked. I asked him to try some troubleshooting first and he did but there was no saving my old switch. Here's the thing that made them heroes. Devon showed up during the process to provide additional support. The guys asked if our Wi-Fi that the APs provide was up. I had no idea. ‍ They did some troubleshooting and determined that our APs were not configured. They had never been configured when they were installed. I learned that the APs provide additional range and a much stronger Wi-Fi signal. So, the switch was replaced for a very reasonable price (no mark up). They reset, configured, and meshed? my APs and left me with a bigger and better Wi-Fi system. All for what I consider a reasonable price. My Samsung Tap A was doing funky things. Neither my husband nor myself could get the tray open to get the SIM Card out. So I took it to T-Moble for assistance. The guy took one look at it and gave me a long corporate answer about why he couldn't help me. So now I go down the street to NerdToGo with the same question, with cash in my hands to get the SIM card out to see if it was damaged. The tech spent almost 1.5 hours at my house and neither of my 2 problems were solved. My smart lock is still not integrated with Amazon's Alexa, nor connected to an app on my iWatch, and my cameras are worse off. The only camera he got back online he could not mount back to the wall, blaming the shortness of the screws. They are very friendly but the first time I took my computer in and got it back I had to take it back in right away because it wasn't fully set up after the new hard drive installation, and they gave me the wrong charger that was broken. On top of that I waited over three weeks and I needed it for school. The second time I went i had a mouse glitch and problems running programs on my computer, I thought it was a virus but I don't know much about computers so I was hoping they would trouble shoot it and fix the problem. I got it back after paying for them to install an antivirus but they didn't even fix the problem I had with my computer. I took my iMac to the Russell and Pecos store and it was stuck in the long reboot, they say they don't charge for the diagnositic they had my iMac for four days and I called them to see what was going on with it, they said it will be done the next day that they were trying to find out what's wrong. They called the next day, for me to pick up the PC, and they didn't know what was wrong with it they had it working out of that reboot stage but they could not find out the cause, they gave me some recommendations and they said they don't charge for diagnositic, but they charge me $60 dollars for "Diagnositic" even though they don't charge for that. I took the computer home and after one hour of working it went to the same stage of the reboot, I called them but had no answer, have to say that it was on the same time were the Governor order to close all none essential business, they finally gave me a call back after a few days, but by the time I had fix the issue my self and had no problems with it now, I guess there not really good on Apple products. (Approximately 30 dollars in gas.) I EVEN COMMUNICATED WHEN MAKING THE APPOINTMENT HOW FAR I WAS COMING FROM! I arrive 10min early, because if you're not early you're late. I pull up and the place is barred up with a sign on the door saying "sorry we closed early today." Noone reached out to reschedule my appointment, nothing. I call the number for them off of Google (which also states they are currently open) & Some woman answers "Well sorry, I don't know what to tell you. We closed early today, I'll put a message for them to reach out to you, but won't happen until Monday." How unprofessional can you be, to not only waste paying customers time, money, and Gas; but to then add insult to injury by basically saying "yeah not my problem go fuck yourself".
