Oysters were fresh and fairly large.
    David P.

The oysters were decent, as were the smelts (off menu but ask). But the service was very good. All smiles, courteous, and quick.

    Steelhead trout - delicious!

Food was very good. Service was alright. Atmosphere needs help. There is a very large fridge humming, which is very distracting.

It's a comfortable place that focuses on food and service, not decor or insta moments (except for the food!). Our favourites: the clam chowder is the best! The house salad and calamari. The fish tacos, fish and chips (go for halibut), the paella. Ok everything! And if you love sushi it looks amazing, but every time we visit I have the same meal because it's so good. Staff are focused on serving you promptly and work as a team. Great specials worth a try and check out the fish market.

Although the portion was not the biggest for its price (I got the paella and two spring rolls, which ended up around 50 dollars for me), they were filling, and the seafood ingredients were very solid. The paella was super delicious, especially the chorizo sausage bits. They were bursting with flavour, which really complements the other seafood. My friend got the Tony's Bouillabaisse, which I thought was delicious too (although I don't think she liked it all that much). The spring rolls were super yummy. They were fried to crispy perfection and filled with steaming hot shrimp, crab bits, and lettuce. It was super fun to eat, too. My favourite thing about The Seafood Grill was how freshly cooked every single dish was. All three dishes came out steaming hot, which I knew they had prepared freshly in the back. All seafood restaurants should do it like The Seafood Grill as the gold standard. I think I'll be back next time I'm in town, especially if I can visit the Kanata area. I really want to try their fish and chips and all the other dishes. Great service (I loved the cold water). The vibe was fun (tho there were a couple of flies, which I assumed were inevitable in the middle of summer).

I've had Digby's now a few times, twice through delivery and once dine-in…read more Of course, the fish and chips were better in person, freshly fried and super crispy, but delivery was pretty good as well and easy to crisp up in the air fryer for a minute or two if you felt necessary. The portion sizes are quite good. I had the haddock for delivery and it was still crispy enough but not super deep-fried, maybe even pan-fried. It was tasty, not overcooked, and came with thicker cut chip truck style fries that weren't super crispy and would've been great with salt and malt vinegar if they had any. I had the Alaskan pollock during dine-in because they have an all-you-can-eat fish and chips special every Tuesday and Saturday and the pollock is the only fish available for the special. The fries were thinner and crispier this time, but less fries and more fish, which I enjoyed.. maybe a little too much because I had five pieces haha They were definitely battered and fried and somehow now super heavy since I had so many, even though they were small- to medium-size pieces. They also give you each coleslaw and fresh lemon slices, and a bottle of tartar sauce for the table. Service was quick and friendly, not too packed for a weekday lunch. I've also had the salmon dish and chowder for delivery. The fresh Atlantic salmon is in the Fish Fillets section, but it's actually a salmon steak. You can get it grilled, baked, or poached. I got it poached and chose seasonal vegetables and mashed potatoes as my sides. The fish was a good portion and everything was cooked perfectly. The steamed vegetables were mostly broccoli and cauliflower, but I didn't mind. The meal itself was actually quite plain and nothing really seasoned, which makes it great for those watching their sodium, for example. I asked for butter and lemon and added them myself plus the salt and pepper I had at home. The clam chowder was good, but not consistent. The first time it wasn't very hot and was more classic, creamier with potatoes. The second time it was piping hot, a little less creamy and more peppery, and had other veggies like celery, corn, and shredded carrots, and fresh parsley. Both were good, but different. I wish they had oyster crackers or something to go with it as well. Will definitely have Digby's again!

I've been here for my bday gathering, on a date, with a friend for wine and appies, with many friends on any given day. It's always special. I recommend my faves... Prime rib, as rare as possible. A twice baked spud. Sirloin steak. A baseball sirloin. Salad.. all the appies. All the veg. The mushrooms Neptune's have a real soft spot in my heart. The wine list is decent and they make a great Caesar drink. I lived in the States for too long and would miss this place all the time! Now... it's just down the street and I'm so grateful! Super friendly and patient with us since we had LOTS of questions about the menu. She kept reassuring us about the different cooking methods of steaks, offering suggestions, UGH she was just such a girl boss. They also give a complimentary pie on your birthday? Which anything that's for free- count me in. But idk why it's called a pie when it's like an ice cream cake? Either way, it was GOOD. As for the environment, it was very spacious and comfortable seating but was pretty dark inside (which makes sense for a fancy/"high-end" restaurant)- if anyone has vision problems, you might need assistance. Also weirdly enough, although I consider the Keg to be a higher-end restaurant, they have quite a few "booths" which we didn't expect to see- it's giving diner and Swiss Chalet (which there's nothing wrong with). I had my 6oz cooked medium and it was the perfect colour, tenderness, and juiciness! But all in all, the steak was nothing overly special and I've probably had better- the price wasn't bad for it though like $36

The food has always been fantastic, and the portions are always generous (keep that in mind when ordering!) The house potatoes that they have are the best (it's one of the main reasons that I eat brunch here) so definitely order something that comes with a side of potatoes if you can. For the crepes, something to keep in mind is that sometimes the crepe itself can be quite difficult to cut into. For example, we ordered the Crepe & Fruits, and it was so plentiful in fruits that when the crepe was opened it looked like a fruit salad (which unfortunately made it impossible to cut into). The crepe ended up getting cut up very messily, eaten alone and then the fruits eaten alone as well. There's only three options for crepes anyways, so just as a precaution I'd recommend getting a waffle instead (they're just as good but easier to eat!) The pancakes are even better- below is a picture of Carole's Cinna-cakes which is an absolute must have if you're a cinnamon roll fan like me. They were so good, and surprisingly super filling. I'm planning on coming back soon just to grab these again. Definitely an option I'd recommend! In general, though, most of the food items are great, and the nice part is that the menu is packed with different options to choose from, to the point where it might be overwhelming. It took us maybe 20 minutes to fully decide what we wanted to order because there were so many options that sounded delicious (maybe check the menu beforehand if you tend to get overwhelmed when ordering!) The area that this restaurant is in is also really practical. There's a bunch of different food places in the same row (like D-spot, Baton Rouge, etc), a nearby Landmark Cinema, Sportchek, and Centrum Plaza that's walking distance, which is perfect if you're looking to grab brunch with friends and then go for some shopping or walking around the area. All in all, so far all of our visits here have been fantastic, and it's definitely a great place to eat at!
