I have been a patient here from 4th grade to 14th grade. In the beginning my teeth were crowded and still baby teeth. My teeth would move with braces quickly, but they were stubborn and my adult teeth crowded them again after growing in. After trial and error with an expander, braces, and retainers, my teeth became straight during my 10th grade year. I thought I was done until, my teeth moved quicker than my retainer could handle and my wisdom teeth got removed (crowding my teeth) and so now I end my years with a permanent retainer! (my favorite option) The staff has always been nice and welcoming, so much that I forget the worries/anxieties of being at an appointment. Any pain I had from expanders or braces could be solved with a couple advil or tylenol. After every appointment, I never missed opportunity to get a toy with the tokens from the front desk (I recommend the bouncy balls). 100% recommend, especially for kids. read more

My daughter started her treatment a couple years ago and it has been nothing but a wonderful experience. Dr. Hukamni is the best! I visited him for a consultation for replacing my very old wire retainers, and he provided me a customized plan. I am more than pleased with the results after wearing Invisalign retainers for several months and finally getting a permanent wire placed on my lower teeth. Never would I thought I would want a permanent retainer! It is the best decision I could have made. My teeth are aligned perfectly, and I do not have to worry about my teeth shifting. Also, my hygienist and dentist both complimented his work and the placement of the permanent wire, which enables them to care for my teeth without damaging the hardware. Apparently, there is an art to placing permanent retainers correctly. :-) Dr. Hukmani and his team far exceeded my expectations. Not only are his fees reasonable, but he is also very meticulous and carefully explained all orthodontic treatment options that would yield my intended results. Sadly now that our orthodontic insurance has been fully maxed out with only spacers/expander/head gear we were told that we would have to repeat the whole process again once my daughter's final baby teeth came out before she received braces. That is another 3k down drain as we had already paid and no longer have ortho insurance coverage as it was maxed out. Went and got a second opinion.....did not tell him anything that was previously done just wanted his honest opinion.....guess what? My daughter does not need those things repeated. Just needs one adult tooth removed to make room and a gum graph as her lower jaw would have never been able to sustain braces- then she can have braces. We made the right decision seeking a second opinion. As for his office- he is not there every day so if you have a problem with any of your appliances you will have to wait for an office day. Need a wire cut- forget about it- it's not an office day. The Video machine kids only plays one game- if it is up and running. read more

Results are great. The professionalism, stellar management, and on-time, results oriented service make me want to tell other adults my story and say go visit LDO. I also really appreciate that they practice 'ethical' standards. For example; they could sell clear/white wires, but they don't due to the fact that they are not efficient. LDO could offer other pricey solutions like [braces + invasalign], which is insane to me after I heard friends say that had to do both, but they don't. They have A+ ethical standards. How did I get here? It all started when I had severe left jaw pain, and soon thereafter began to notice that top and bottom teeth did not touch on the left side of my mouth, and eating became very challenging. How did it get so bad? My teeth 'looked' straight and cosmetically OK in appearance. My dentist mentioned orthodontics (which i quickly shoved off) so we tried a bite guard since it was apparant I grinded at night. No luck. I refused to believe that braces would help and proceeded to make a few more visits to my regular family doctor, and an EMT specialist. I let time get by me, because the pain was so unbearable I really thought it was a something more extreme like a tumor or something. So I went back to my dentist who urged me to visit Dr. Hukmani. After the free exam, and receiving solid answers to my problem, the braces were ordered, and applied shortly thereafter. Within 7 days, my jaw pain subsided! It's been about 1 year and 9 months and i'm about 2-3 more visits from removal. My teeth look great, I can chew food on my left side and I will be walking away with a retainer and a TMJ splint/guard. The only negative thought I have had during my experience is here was, "I hate having braces (at this age) and I can't wait to get them off." I'm in a job where my smile has to be on all the time. I know it will be all worth it in the end. You won't be disappointed in your investment. read more

Long overdue..after going to him for almost 5-6 years for myself and my kids, I highly recommend Dr. Hukmani. As an adult, I got braces through him and after a good experience with him and the staff, both of my two kids became his patients, too. He knows and calls you by your name after the first appt. and thereafter. I've never felt rushed when I had questions. He is thorough and explains what to expect before and after each appointment.. I took my son here for his orthodontic care because the surgeon said he needed to create space in order to place an implant where he had a genetically missing tooth. I took my daughter to another orthodontist in the area for the same reason and was very dissatisfied as that orthodontist damaged her teeth and didn't take responsibility for the mishap. I was very pleased with how Dr. Hukmani took the time to explain everything to me and my son and treated us very professionally despite having a large patient pool. Extremely impressed. Office is a well runned machine. The front desk, especially the lady with the warm smile, is a warm welcome to other doc/dentist offices of folks treating one with attitude/indifference. My son goes, my best friend daughter and the setup while mainly kid friendly, is impressive for adults as well. Kids walk in, signing in they have their code number/patient id (initials and some other number) and the kids go straight to the common area to brush and clean their teeth. Process is seamless, pictures and xray were part of the whole package, process of billing is 3rd party but no-interest, and my son even got a great tool kit with special brushes and visual manual to what to avoid and why and he is now diligent on sweets/nuts/soda when he sees this visual hanging in his bathroom - he takes pride in his treatment and its because Dr. Hukmani shows why its important to do so. His demeanor is very sweet, calm natured, and he is thorough in explaning after every single visit progress and what will be done or what one can expect. Seriously love it! read more

I recently completed 20 months of braces and while I cannot say that having braces was a wonderful experience, I can say that being treated by Dr. Hukmani and the Lansdowne team made the experience as pleasant as possible. As an adult (over 50) I have dealt with numerous doctors' offices over the years and I have never come across a more professional and efficient medical office as Lansdowne Orthodontics. The office is very automated, you sign in electronically and I have never waited more than a minute or two after arriving to be taken to the treatment area. It was not unusual to be called to the back before I had a chance to take a seat in the waiting area. Once you are in the treatment area the team begins to work on you and you can really feel see the teamwork in action. Several patients are being worked on at a time, all receiving personal attention by the team and Dr. Hukmani always has enough time to examine you and to keep you informed on your progress. Dr. Hukmani and the Lansdowne team have an amazing operation and I would highly recommend them. After 1,065 days I got my braces off and I COULDN'T be happier!!! I had a VERY complicated case. My baby canines were still present and my permanent canines were IMPACTED on the roof of my mouth.. kissing each other behind my two front teeth... VERY impacted. I had MULTIPLE people tell me that I would have to extract the teeth and have implants placed. At the time I seeked treatment I was only 22 years old and I felt that I was too young to have to get implants without trying anything first. I then found Dr.Hukmani who gave my crazy case a chance. He broke down the different options (implants being worse case scenario) and really explained everything to me to help me make the best descision for my smile. Every visit he thanked me for his patience and reassured me that the transition process would be worse before it got better and I trusted him. His office is very clean and their staff really come together like family to help with the flow of a busy schedule. I drove over an hour just to see Dr.Hukmani and I was always brought back on time for my appointments or even earlier than my scheduled time.
