I contacted Langone Bros for a quote on a new walkway & stairs in March & April. I was told they weren't doing quotes yet. I contacted them again in May & was told they weren't taking on any new jobs as they were all booked up. Part of me is glad they didn't quote the job because they out in a new lawn & landscaping for me 2 years ago & didn't follow my instructions. I will never do business with them again. read more

Langone Bros Landscaping first installed front and back lawns for us in 2011 as part of a major landscaping project. Then, in 2016, we lost those lawns when we obeyed the town watering ban. So I contacted them again when it was time to start all over. Each phase of the project, from the initial estimate to contract to delivery and installation of loam, laying down gravel, regrading and hydroseeding, moved forward punctually and as promised. . The foreman was polite, competent and friendly, and the Langone brothers seem like nice guys .I asked the foreman for additional gravel in key spots at the back of the house and deck and that was taken care of the next day. When a strong post-hydroseeding rainstorm washed some of the seed away, the company stood by their work. They sent their crew back out, added more seed and now our property looks great! read more

We hired Langone to level out part of our yard as well as reseed the entire yard They had promised to do the work within 2 weeks of our accepting their quote. It took them 5 weeks to complete the work and for some reason did two days of work more than 7 days apart. We are finding weeds and crabgrass in parts of our lawn that never had either. We're disappointed we spent close to a grand of our hard-earned money to have to pull weeds for years. Their fill obviously wasn't clean, and nor was the three-seed GRASS mix we were promised. We won't be calling them about remedying this because we doubt they'll do anything. read more

We hired Langone Bros for a big job - a driveway with a pathway. The driveway is still considered new - less than an year old, and now there is a hole. Everything was going smoothly with the process until they had to put in the bricks, and sand them for the pathway. After the initial bricks were put together we asked them to expand the bricks to the little pathway, and we got quoted $400 for it on site, so we agreed. Up until today the remaining of the bricks were not placed. Not only they did not finish their job, but I had to wait for 2 months for them (after many calls made to the office) to come back and finish sanding in between the bricks. Needless to say grass is growing in between them, due to the delay in sanding. When I called to make them aware of the hole on the asphalt I was asked to pay the "outstanding" balance due, for a job that was not completed, and threatened that I will be taken to court. I will gladly pay for a completed service. Again I had to call several times, since no one seems to return calls when there is an issue. I have seen better service. read more

I worked with this company for months and simply could not get them to show up. We continued to go back and forth on dates, one day they showed up (unexpected) and we still hadn't cleared the area and simply couldn't commit to any other dates. At one point we agreed on a Thursday. Didn't show up. I called and was told it was Friday. Friday came and went, no show again. I called and there was no future date they could give me. it was pretty much "we will show up when we want and you will have to be satisfied". Horrible communication skills, never felt like my work was a priority. $16k estimated work and couldn't get them to show up. read more

Would not use this landscaping service again. Didn't do some of the work that I paid for, and they were not very responsive. They also ruined the leg of my porch with their edger and took a piece out of my shed with their lawn mower. read more

I contacted Langone Bros for an estimate for a clean up in my backyard online and got an immediate response. The estimate was similar to others I had gotten and I preferred using a local company. The staff was very professional, showed up when they said they would, and did a fantastic job preparing the yard for a new fence. I will definitely call them again, hopefully, for a patio installation in the future. Thanks! read more

Last summer my husband called Langone twice and was told both times they would leave an estimate in our mailbox for yard work, we never got an estimate. Knowing a few people who used them I thought maybe this was just a couple of bad days and I decided to call them again for a lawn cut. I was told that I had to contract with them to get this service. When I questioned this the woman told me that it was too difficult for her to make the schedules and for the drivers to follow them when there were changes or add on's. Really, that seems like it would be a relatively easy process to me. As a customer I would like to see their work at least once and then decide if I would like to contract with them. Additionally, my neighbor was told that having the lawn cut as needed was a higher rate then contracting with them, this is a clear contradiction to what I was told. Needless to say I did not contract with them and clearly I was wrong to give them the benefit of the doubt when calling them again. read more

Would not recommend them at all! They installed new concrete steps and a retaining wall with cement toppers. Since day one the steps & toppers kept coming loose. We contacted them to come out and fix it. Was told by Jason they'd do it as a courtesy. We had the problem again in 2015 and I spoke with the owner, Again, as a courtesy they came out and only fixed/checked the area we told them was loose, even though I told them to check all areas. Sadly, my sister was on the retaining wall and one of the cement toppers let go. She is now in the hosptial with a broken shoulder. She'll be out of work for at least six weeks. I called the owner today and he basically told me there was nothing he's going to do to fix the problem. Way to stand behind your service. read more

We hired Langone Bros to bring our yard up a few feet on one side in order to create more usable grass area for a playground. This involved a retaining wall and removal of trees and brush, also loom, hydroseed, and fencing. Langone Bros never showed up when they said they would- they would say they'd be back "tomorrow" but would return in a week, they put the retaining wall in incorrectly (curved instead of straight) and had to fix, they brought in loom but had not fixed the irrigation system that they had dug up, a week went by and they quickly "fixed" the irrigation system and quickly spread hydroseed to prevent erosion. We turned on the irrigation system and the yard flooded since it was not fixed properly and sprinkler heads were missing. Our topsoil and hydroseed washed away. Langone said they would fix it, it took over 1 week for some one to come fix it and they did re-hydroseed some areas since they re-dug up the yard, but by then it was past their June 15 hydroseed guarantee. Despite watering the original seeded areas did not take (we were forced to water by hand since the irrigation system was broken for over 1 week). We now have about 7000 square feet of rocky dirt with some patches of grass and a lot of weeds. We have had to hire another company to come and aerate and overseed our entire lawn coming in the fall. We had to hire another irrigation company to fix the sprinkler heads Langone installed since they were spinning 360 degrees in the corner of the yard (watering the fence). I think this company's biggest issue is lack of project management. We had a different crew show up each day on the job, there seemed to be no communication. The fence crew showed up one week on a Tuesday, did half the job then returned another day to complete all but a gate, and finished the rest on a random Saturday morning. The irrigation system was installed incorrectly by one crew, re-finished by another. Our loom is extremely rocky, we have found chunks of plastic in it, pieces of heavy duty wire, and our kids cannot walk on that area or play without shoes. It has been 2 months since our job was completed and our irrigation system has yet another leak. We have been forced to again use another outside company to fix our irrigation system. We will not use this company again. read more

Horrible service. I have used Langone to maintain my yard for 2 years, they are not welcome back next year. They damage your property and do not repair it even after numerous phone calls. Or when they finally get around to look at the damage they use substandard materials. They drove over my shrubs took out my perinnial garden with their weed trimmer and then said "oh I thought they were weeds". Uh huh... and you calls yourself landscapers?? I recommend looking at other landscapers, this company just doesn't care. read more

Unfortunately I cannot give them a good review. Initially we were happy with the job they did landscaping the front of our house. However, several of the shrubs died very quickly. In their contract they do state that they do not guarantee plantings unless you have an irrigation system, which we do not. However, when I contacted them about the dead shrubs they said they would replace them. That was well over a year ago. They eventually did come out this year after having to contact them numerous times, and they put in replacement shrubs that we absolutely do not want. They never once contacted me about replacements, and when I called to complain only then did they say "we shouldn't be replacing these anyways," and they claimed we didn't get enough sun for some of the plantings, which is something they should have known before they put them in in the first place (I just went with THEIR suggestions for plantings). Needless to say, had we just bought the shrubs ourselves at a gardening center they would have been guaranteed for a year, as it is we're out the money and now have to dig up the shrubs they put in that we don't want. I understand that their contract says they don't guarantee them, but these shrubs died within weeks, and they said that they would replace them, they did not stand by their word. read more

We hired Langone Bros to do a rather large job at our home, clear out a large amount of brush, bring in a large amount of loom, hydroseed our lawn, install a new drive-way and do a planting bed. We had explained the reason for a new lawn, our previous one was filled with a large amount of weed and crabgrass. After the job was completed we watered the lawn as they advised, 3 times per day, this caused a large amount of run off with the new loom and the hydroseed. I called them to question this, they drove by and looked at the lawn, we never heard from them again. The new lawn was so badly filled with weeds and crabgrass, a sign the loom was not of good quality (I called in another landscaper to look at it) This winter I noticed a crack, separation in our new driveway, I called and questioned them about it, they sent someone out to look at it and told us they would be in touch after the ground thawed out. Spring came and the one tree we requested, the one tree we paid a few hundred dollars for didn't grow leaves, it didn't even bud. I called them again to question the driveway repair and also about the tree. I was brushed off, they told me the driveway was fine (there is still a crack in it), they wouldn't be repairing it and also they confirmed the tree was in fact dead but claimed it was our fault and they would not by warrantying their work. We had to pay another company to come in this year and rid the lawn of all the weeds that grew from the loom Langone brought and and had to pay AGAIN for hydroseed. We finally have a beautiful lawn, sadly we had to pay twice for it. We also still have a very expensive and very dead tree in our planting bed. I keep hoping Langone will honor their work and do the right thing, Im beginning to lose hope. read more
