Mike and Chris are fantastic! We had 5 landscapers give us quotes on redoing our backyard. We had…read moreterrible soil that needed to be replaced and we wanted a retaining wall to fix an issue with the grading. Crugnale was the second least expensive quote we got, but seemed to be the most professional and had the best customer service. When we first talked about the job with Crugnale they were very friendly and outlined different options. They did not push us to do something more expensive, but gave the cost of each option and a description of the pros and cons of those options. This was the key point that made us choose them: they seemed like they wanted to help us get the lawn we wanted giving us all the options instead of like they wanted to just get as much money from us as possible. They did the work very quickly. We had many questions along the way about our new grass and Mike and Chris were always very helpful and responsive. They even came by to check on how the grass looked to give us feedback on the maintenance. If I had another landscaping project, I would definitely use them again and would not hesitate to recommend them for work. I'll try to upload pictures of before and after shots.

Initially the yard, with fresh sod and new paver patio looked good, until it didn't. We babied the sod; watered it, didn't step on it, watched it like a hawk. Within weeks it never fully took, I texted Rony and he told me "be patient". The sod barely ever took, what did take died off quickly. As "experts" they knew the shade conditions, the knew the location of the yard and it's clear they picked all of the wrong products to install. Our yard is a pit of mud now. We have ruined carpets and furniture with our dogs bringing in the mud. The yard looks terrible, we literally cry over it. We now have to spend money we don't have to try and fix it. ****UPDATE**** The owner texted saying we are full of sh*t and then called. He told us if we didn't let him on the property to inspect that he would see us in court because of this review. We already lost well over 17,000 and now he wants to sue us because we won't let him trespass.

Jeremias was quite knowledgeable and suggested replacing part of our asphalt driveway with permeable pavers to add a natural drainage solution, not reliant on sump pumps or hoses and motors which already showed their limitations. His crew also built up a berm along our property, which not only acted as a way to hold back potential water flow but also dressed up our property line with additional shrubs and trees. These guys really knew what they were doing - the pavers came out beautiful, Jeremias himself was regularly on site and was constantly in communication throughout the job to update the process. We've since reached out about additional projects on our property.

Northern Essex Tree Services provided fantastic service at an affordable price, and the owner of…read morethe firm - Malcolm - was very impressive. We had Northern Essex Tree Services price out a very large job for us: cutting down 13 trees around our house and grinding all of the stumps. Upon choosing Malcolm, he consistently went the extra mile including scoping the job numerous times from the onset, discussing various options with us, and giving us advice and recommendations. Although I found Northern Essex Tree Service myself, I was also reassured by a strong recommendation from a neighbor that Malcolm had done a lot of work for in the past. Prior to going with Northern Essex Tree Service, I quoted about 10 different companies, so I knew the price point for the services I wanted. Given that most of the trees were right near our home, we wanted a company that was adequately insured who would do a good (and careful) job. I needed a professional, and Malcolm and his team fit the bill. At the end of the day, Northern Essex Tree Service did a GREAT job and everything that Malcolm stated from day 1 came to fruition. His team was very professional, and good people to boot. I can't say enough about Malcolm and his team, and I give him my highest recommendation.
