Had a pleasure meeting Walter and his team as they took care of a very special 200 year old tree on our property. It was neglected for decades and Walter new immediately what needs to be done. You would not have known trees came down once the job was done. Cleaned up the entire backyard and hauled it all away. We couldn't believe how professional and diligent they were removing an enormous fallen tree, as well as taking down an old dead tree. We had a storm come through with 50-60 mile an hour winds and some pretty heavy rains. During this storm a section of tree about 30 feet in length snapped off and got caught hanging over my shed, fence as well as neighbors garage. The piece of tree was too high and too large for me to attempt myself without the risk of damage. I contacted Liebermann at 6:50 am the following morning, i received a call back not 10 minutes later. Explained the issue and offered to send some pics of the damage. Walt offered to come out and take a look and i believe he was at my place by 9:30am. We agreed on a price and he said he would be back later on in the day as they were attending to some other emergency work. They were back by 2pm and up scaling the tree, they secured the broken securing using ropes and began clearing the branches to allow it to drop in a safe and controlled manner. The tree was taken down, chipped up, and hauled away. They even went over the yard with a leaf blower to push any dust/chippings away. Before they left I asked for a ballpark quote to take down a few trees later in the spring which they gave and i will be having them back out for. Its very rare to find a company who actually answer calls, show up when they say and when needed, and does great work. These guys are all of the above. Highly recommended. read more

If I could leave 6 stars, I would. These guys were awesome. A huge branch had come down over our fence and was blocking my elderly neighbor's driveway. My neighbors have mobility issues and needed access to their vehicle ASAP. Plus, the enormous tree the branch fell from was still a hazard and needed removing. Not only did Walt take time out to come by for an estimate *on the day I called* (everyone else was booking estimates weeks ahead) but he and his team cleared the branch within 48 hours and removed the tree within a week. In other words, these guys were completely done before some of the other services would even send someone out to take a look. Walt and his team did exactly what they said they would do, when they said they would do it, and at a fair price. And they cleaned up so well from their work that you couldn't even tell that they had been there. All the twigs and brush from a towering 40-year old tree? Gone. Walt's team even moved the surrounding leave piles (not a result of the tree or branch) into the corner of my neighbor's driveway to assist in surer footing. This is old-fashioned amazing service. And you couldn't ask for nicer, friendlier folks to work with. One note: their old-fashioned service also means that they don't take credit cards - cash/check only. This is not a reason to lessen their rating in my opinion, but it might be helpful to know. read more

I would recommend Walt to anyone, as I recently did to my mother-in-law. His price was fair and he did everything that he promised to do. The only reason why I didn't give him 5 stars was something that wasn't even done by him and probably isn't fair to bring up at all: I had placed a pile of sticks next to the pile that his crew needed to chip and they did not do me the favor of chipping them. To me (and I may be unusual in this), that's the difference between a 4 star experience and a 5 star experience. All-in-all, though, I had a very good experience with Liebermann Tree Service. read more

Might be the worst tree service I've ever seen. The guy looks like he's 75. He asked for an advance before the job was over just to have payroll for that week. It took him a decade to finish the job because he was doing other jobs at the same time he was supposed to be doing mine. His equipment looked like it was from prehistoric time worst decision ever. To top it off one of his employees destroyed my property. I was never reimbursed. read more
