The family and I attended a wedding here two weeks, and a funeral the week after. With both ends of the emotional roller coaster I was extremely impressed with the wait staff at both events. Next to hole 8 they set up a tent where the Wedding ceremony was, it was interesting because it was a Sunday afternoon and there were a lot of people playing golf. After the ceremony we went to the barn. I didn't care for how they set it up, but there were wait staff next to the food on crowd control duty. The food was decent, and the location was beautiful. Both events were catered to in the appropriate manor. I have never played golf here (I have never played golf in my life), so I can't speak to that part! But, to the man who almost ran over the bride because he was going SO FAST on his little cart, I hope you got a hole in one. Because that is what you were yelling. read more

My wife and I enjoy Langdon . The course is fantastic , challenging, but fair . The bar and grill are excellent too. Depending on the bartender we have had some expertly prepared beverages Years ago the service was better but it is still pretty good. In those days the support staff ran out to get your bags and transport to the carts below when you drove up like a Les Schwab tire salesman. Not so much these days, unless it for an event. The practice facility is excellent and they have some top-tier instructors. One thing that has always bothered us, especially my wife, is the not-so-well maintained port-a- potties for course bathrooms. For a " premium golf" establishment this has always seemed odd. Number 3 is about as a pretty little downhill par three as you will ever play. The barn hole par 4 with the south wind in your face will frustrate the best of you. You can play left-righ- left on the evil little par 3 sixth with the shaved sides into an unwritable number on your card. Have fun! read more

Looking for a different place to eat on a Friday with my wife, we decided to try Langdon's Grill. Set in the quaint area near the airport, we drove down the backroads of Aurora and found ourselves at the front door of this converted farm building. Since it was a nice evening we opted for the outdoor seating that overlooked the fairways of the golfcourse. The staff is friendly, and the setting is fairly picturesque and low key. The food is good and reasonably priced. If you want a place to just get away for the evening to eat and relax and unwind away from the busier places like the Pearl District, Sellwood, Alberta District, Mississippi St. and just enjoy a quiet evening, then Langdon's might be that out of the way place for you. p.s. we went earlier in the year and not December. read more

We should have gone to McDonalds. Had the chicken fried steak was no good and the country gravy blah. They put a napkin on the plate to soak up the grease from the egg. The biscuit was dry and flavorless. On a good note the ice tea was ok; but there must have been an ice shortage. Oh well! read more

We sat on the patio at 10 am on a beautiful Saturday watching the hustle/bustle of a nicely located golf course. I'm not a golfer so I'll do my best to describe our dining experience through analogy: a long drive off the tee that slices into a bunker. Like I said we were pleased with the view. Our waitress was less then friendly and inattentive. No water brought or offered, had to ask for coffee refill and nearly left cash on table waiting for bill. Omelettes were good, hash browns and biscuits were small and unimpresive. Quick note on facilities: men's restroom was pretty wrecked. Had a lounge feel to it. Water fountain next to it has a green slime running from base to drain. We live locally and might give it another try. If you're looking for a Camp 18 lumberjack breakfast don't come here. If you want ambiance this is a good place. read more

Party of 20. In the upstairs room which was nice. Had good privacy. We had a waiter that clearly could not handle a party this large. The kitchen clearly struggled too. Half the table had finished their meal before two others even got their food because it was "forgotten". This table needed at least two waiters because drinks took forever and I couldn't even get a water refill. Just put a damn pitcher on the table. Food was mediocre. read more

I love this restaurant and golf course. I worked here for an event this summer, and the support staff were extemely helpful and kind. I took my parents back here for dinner on Saturday, August 9th, 2014. My veggie wrap and salad were very delicious. Pieces of veggie burger were chopped up and combined into my wrap. It was very tasty. They were slow when we came in around 5ish, but within the hour they became pretty busy. My father ordered a buffalo burger. Unfortunately, they took his order down wrong. Halfway through his meal, he declared that his burger didn't taste like buffalo realized that his burger also had bacon on it too. He was disappointed. We alerted the staff. Promptly and graciously they apologized and made him a new burger entree. They apologized 3-4 times and even made my father's burger free. I was impressed. They have a great selection of food, and reasonable prices. Some of the tables overlook the golf green. It is a fantastic escape if you are in the area. read more

I have eaten here several times and every visit, the food and service have been excellent. Today, we brought in a large party of 25 and the wait staff handled it without an issue. Food was delivered efficiently and service was great. I loved my Patty Melt and everyone else lov what they had as well. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed! read more

May 31 Today I led a group of car enthusiasts on a "lunch cruise". We had about 30 folks in 15 cars and I had been planning this outing for about a month. In looking for a destination restaurant, I stopped by while on other business to check out Langdon's Grill. I met Jason, an assistant manager, and explained what I had in mind. He seemed to think that they could supply everything that I was looking for, and suggested that I visit with the Grill's manager Mark, to determine a day and schedule a time. I did that, and we selected today, a Saturday, at about 12:30. We lucked out and got a sunny, warm day. I had been concerned about feeding a large group in a timely manner, and about being able to be seated together in the covered outside area. Mark assured me that he would have the necessary staff to take care of us, and that he would reserve seating for the group. I have to hand it to Mark, Jason and the rest of their crew. We were promptly seated at tables already waiting with water, napkins and utensils, exactly where I had hoped we could be. Servers immediately arrived to take drink orders and returned quickly with them. We had been on the road for about 2.5 hours and were thirsty. They gave us a bit of time to look over the menu and then took our food orders. The group visited for about 15 minutes before food began arriving. Sooner than I had thought possible, everyone was happily munching. Mark, Jason and the crew were engaging, smiling and visited with our group. They refilled drinks readily, and checked to make sure everybody was happy, just the *right* amount. The food was wonderful, and we had an opportunity to visit with Mark about other offerings and events at Langdon's Grill. We're particularly interested in returning for the Friday night Prime Rib and live music. Langdon's Grill is in a beautiful setting, and from the outside area we had a gorgeous view of the course, with the ability to watch players navigating the nearby holes. I received a lot of compliments on my choice of restaurant for this trip. I appreciated that they were happy, but the credit really goes to Mark, Jason and their crew. They made the outing a resounding success. FYI, there was no large group "gratuity" added to our checks. I hope that each of our group acknowledged the exceptional service appropriately. They certainly earned it. Give Langdon's Grill a try. You'll be glad you went. read more

I visited Langdon's Grill on a recent Friday evening and was pleased to get to hear some excellent jazz piano played with perfection by Ray Hardiman, while I enjoyed a delicious meal and delightful wine. The combination of soft melodic jazz playing in the background, great food, and wonderful company, in the serene country setting of Langdon Farms made for a perfectly delightful evening! Love this place. The steaks and prime rib have never disappointed! Service is great, as wait staff is very attentive and friendly. The bar could use some upgrades like a blender so they can offer daiquiris and some mint on hand so they can make Mojitos. All in all it's one of our favorites! read more

I'm grateful to my daughter for the recommendation that led to this visit! I joined my wife and daughter here on Friday evening and enjoyed the atmosphere and my dinner. A trio of musicians provided live music. Dense overcast and drizzle affected the view of the golf course, but we were seated promptly and service was attentive. I enjoyed my clam chowder, cheeseburger with mushrooms, and iced tea. My wife ordered a chicken fajita, which she enjoyed, and a margarita that fell short of expectations. My daughter was pleased with her cheeseburger and calamari. All things considered, I enjoyed it and look forward to a return visit! read more

Happy Hour from 3-6 at Langdon's Grill is not one to miss! The food is top notch- not run-of- the-mill greasy bar food at all; but a mix of well-done bar food with an extra bit of flair & also more refined offerings as well. My favorite items to get are the Ahi Soft Tacos (they are amazing with a spicy cajun kick, flavorful chipotle ranch dressing & fresh toppings), Potato Skins that taste homemade & incredibly fresh (& aren't oily/greasy like some other places), & Onion Rings (again, freshly made, super crunchy & perfectly seasoned/fried- never greasy). I also enjoy the caesar salad which is very well executed. I think the prices are very good on these items. The atmosphere is wonderful! It is relaxing, clean, comfortable & homey- with wonderful views of the golf course all around. It feels very welcoming. It's not too posh or stuffy like some tend to think but instead a very casual, enjoyable dining experience. Best of all is the lovely & attentive server, Liz who is a delight to be around, is kind to everyone & brightens the entire place up! She makes the BEST Lemon Drops I've ever had! One of the nicest people I have ever come across & certainly the most attentive server there could be. Even on a very busy day you wouldn't know it if she is working because she zooms around getting everything done for everyone! It's a joy to watch her interact with all the other patrons too because you can tell it is her genuine sunshiney personality that brings people back time & time again. I'm often there & see the same repeat customers on the days I go because I believe they all enjoy seeing Liz & eating the great food! She talks & smiles to everyone making everyone at ease & feel right at home! Such a wonderful establishment! Great prices- especially Happy Hour, delicious food, delightful wait staff (Liz!) & very clean- the bathrooms are amazingly clean as well. One of my favorite places to have a happy time. read more
