First time here, have to say I loved the fact that they have a karaoke, folks and gals actively singing. Good whiskey selection, good beers of course. Service: For a single lady taking care of the bar, and being a waitress, yes it was sort of slow but hey, gives time to drink the first beer. Now the food was unexpectedly delicious. Unless you're a smoker, I suggest you give this place a pass. I was with friends in the covered patio area when several people nearby laughed and pointed at the No Smoking sign posted directly in front of them. They then proceeded to light up and enjoy their cigarettes. What made it even worse is that employees seemed to turn a blind eye to what was happening. The second time it happened, we left. One of the people at my table had to go close out her tab. She mentioned to staff we were leaving because of the smoking and personnel just shrugged their shoulders as if it was no big deal that people were breaking the law and making other people uncomfortable. read more

This place was a great find on our socially-distanced trip last weekend. The exterior is a little non-descript and not the most inviting, but once inside they have a very cool interior. It borders on a fancier dive bar in all the good ways! The "Whiskey makes me frisky" sign was my favorite and an indication of the atmosphere they've cultivated here, which is light-hearted and not too serious, which I appreciated. They have outdoor heaters and plenty of space to eat during Covid on the patio, if you'd like. There are people who like to also smoke outside, but they smoke in a designated area which we appreciated. I'm guessing these were the 'regulars' since the bartender knew them well, even with masks on. Due to the smoke, we ordered our food to go and are glad we did since the food was excellent. Even our kids loved their food, and they're very picky eaters! The salad was great and high quality, which was impressive since most 'bars' skimp a bit on the salad quality, but not Boones. The pizza and tots were also great! They are dog friendly so you can also bring your pooch and they have water dishes outside to keep them hydrated. And while I didn't catch her name, the lady working here was awesome! She was extremely accommodating, friendly, and certainly cared about her customers - both the regulars as well as the newcomers like me. The service was great. Our waitress was just the nicest thing and checked on us frequently. The portions are huge for the pizzas. An 8" can easily feed two adults. Especially if you get any of their special pizzas. The toppings are a meal themselves. The pizza itself was ok. Some of the toppings weren't cooked with the rest of the pizza like the tomatoes. They seemed like they were added after the fact. Our friend got the Hangout and loved it. They do offer a front patio that is screened in, yet open, and is dog friendly. However, it is also smoker friendly, so we sat on the other patio. The inside has a small bar and a few additional booths. The restrooms were clean. There is a small set of slot machines in the very back. Many of the chairs need to be repaired or replaced. This place is one of those staples that every town needs. Good people and good stories. Stopped in on a Friday night during a visit to Portland. The pizza was very good and the beer was cold. The DJ invited us to participate in music trivia (we won $ off our tab!) and karaoke. "I've got friends in low places..." One part roadhouse, one part local hangout, one part karaoke lounge. I've been eyeing this place for years, but had never been inside because frankly it looks a little rough. Sitting at the bar is the way to go and my service was much better the first time around. On the second visit, I sat in the dining area, which reminds me of a converted garage. I'm really waiting to break in the covered patio one sunny afternoon. There is a large tree that dominates the space and it just looks like a great place to escape with friends. The lunch menu is primarily pizza and sandwiches. Pizzas are served as individual (eight slice) pies and come with a side salad. Sandwiches are served with a bag of chips. Drinks are Coke products with free refills. The food is not great, but it is okay. This is a back to the basics kind of place and everything I've had is on the mild side, so don't expect a kick when you order the spicy chicken. The place is rough around the edges and I kind of like it. I've been working in this city for close to 15 years and this is about the only restaurant in town not in a strip mall. It actually has some character and a little grit. This reminds me of what Wanker's Corner used to be before they moved to Wilsonville and got all corporate. The current owners have had the place for six years and they have a core group of regulars. They have live music, karaoke on Friday nights and a couple of TVs to watch games. When I'm here I can't help singing the Garth Brooks song above in my head. This place is its own kind of oasis in Wilsonville. And yes, they have whiskey. read more

We really enjoyed ourselves t this establishment last night. The drinks were on point and the appetizer and pizza were excellent! We ordered a couple drinks each, 2 Hazy IPAs for me and my gf had a couple vodka tonics. The beer was great and my gf said here drinks were perfect also. Our combo pizza...WOW, so dang tasty and a lot of toppings! We ordered the appetizer combo plate and that alone was enough to feed a small army. First, the impression from the bar tender was not a good one. She didn't acknowledge us for a little while. Then, we sit down at a table near a heater that was already on. The same bar tender comes over, very condescending and loudly says "this isn't supposed to be on," while looking right at us. We inform her it was on when we sat down. She promptly reaches around whatever arcade game they have turned around in the corner and aggressively unplugs the heater then moves it over to a table with people I assume she's more familiar with, leaving it unplugged. Normally this would be a 5 extremely disappointed in this place cook no mask no gloves! Cashier/bartender wore her mask over mouth not nose or hanging over her ear not covering anything. They let people come in with no mask to use the restroom or machines. This is WRONG!! Have been here a few times and love that you can order a pitcher of beer. They have an amazing Hawaiian pizza. It's a very old fashioned divey classic hole in the wall type place but the gals there are nice and you feel like you've stepped back in time. There's usually a game that's going on their TV. It would be fun to sit outside in the summers but it's too bad there is so much cigarette smoke from other customers.. it's like being in a bar from the 1980s. Thank you Boones! I have been searching for beer battered/pub fries for quite some time. I can't believe it took me this long to find them! I've tried most fries in wilsonville and Boones are by far the best! Fresh,crisp,piping out hot beer battered fries! Not the ones that are from the frozen section at your local grocer. I'm going to become a regular! Now for their pizza, it was very good. Light, crispy, flavorful, and did I mention fresh. Nothing that's been sitting under a heat lamp or warmer. We had to wait a good 30 min or so but it was because the pizza was being freshly made!! Have you ever sat at a restaurant, look out the window at another restaurant and wish you had chosen that place instead of where you are sitting? I did today. Boones Junction is within spitting distance of The Ram in Wilsonville, and we should have eaten there. If I could I would give this place 0 stars. Upon arrival we walked into the restaurant/bar THROUGH the smoking porch. Then we were told to sit anywhere we wanted. We picked a table and sat. The table and bench seats listed towards the outside, so we were constantly sitting on an incline. The staff member was on first name basis with the two rednecks two tables over and spent a lot of time with them and making sure they had their needs met. When she finally did come to our table she looked like it was a bother to serve us. We ordered drinks (a beer for my partner and a bloody mary for me) and she was off. A good ten minutes later she brought our drinks and said "I'll be right back to take your food order." Another ten minutes and she returned. I ordered a breakfast plate and my partner ordered a burger. The length of time it took to bring our food had me thinking they were either waiting for the cow to die of natural causes before grinding them meat for my partners burger, OR they were attempting to coax two eggs from an already overworked chicken somewhere out back. After 20 minutes our food arrived. Our drinks were dry by then. When staff finally returned, she offered to refresh our drinks. When our food arrived, my two sausage links had the look and texture of sausage jerky, the staff asked me how I had ordered my eggs because I guess she forgot...um...why? The other plate was a burger....was there a mixup in the kitchen with someone else's order? Whatever... My partner picked up an onion ring and said it was laden with oil...onion rings should be light, not heavy. Consequently he didn't eat a lot of them. Price point? About par for a dive joint, but overpriced for what you get. If you are looking for a place to eat in Wilsonville, steer VERY CLEAR of Boones Junction. Even 7-11 roller food is potentially better, at least there you won't have to sit on an angle. This place has now moved to the top of my list of 'places to avoid at any cost'. read more

Every time I come to this place it's awful. The first time I came it was over 30 minutes untill close and as soon as we pulled up they turned the light off on us. Okay? Second time we ordered pizza to go & it took so long we just canceled & let it go because whatever. Third time. Tonight. I go in right before 8 just to grab a bite & see a friend for her birthday & I go in ask for a food menue the bartender immediately asks me how old I am. Which is fine I get it I'm a server. But with such rude unnecessary attitude right off. I told her hey I just want some food idk what the issue is & I was very polite well she was pretty upset that I just wanted some food up until I tipped her decent. Again I get it. WELL. I walk outside in plain sight waited 10 minutes for some fried mushrooms & mozzarella sticks & the mushrooms were literally raw!!! Uneatable. Literally Liquid in the middle. & on top of that it was cold!! Because for some reason the trashy rude worker didn't want to walk five feet and be a decent server. This place definitely has strong vibes. It's not a big box. If you're into something different, this place is fun. The indoor area is TINY. There is an outdoor covered area. The food is AMAZING. I can't say enough good things about the pizza. It's a little on the steep side if you're thinking it's just lunch, but the individual pizza and salad is more than I'd eat in a sitting, so the price works out well if you split it for two meals. This doesn't get a higher rating because it takes a long time to make the pizza that good. You need to plan at least 90 minutes to eat here. I'd also recommend coming a bit early to deal with hunger issues. While you're waiting, there's usually a game on the TV and there are a couple arcade machines. read more

All the locals congregate smoking outside the front. Not a big deal but was unpleasant. My beer was flat and not very cold. I ordered the hickory smoked ribs, I received a huge portion but they were not hickory smoked. They were freshly boiled (water on plate) and had some barbq sauce hastily dumped on them. Bar tender went out to smoke with the locals and never saw her for 20 minutes. This place has all the potential in the world but missed the mark in every way. Had been to this place for a beer with friends but had never tried their pizzas. Looked online and the photos looked good and was craving something new in the limited Wilsonville pie realm so ordered a cheese with half pep and a vegetarian, both mediums. Pizzas are small and a bit on the expensive side - $18.75 for a veg & $19.75 for a pep - but I just couldn't figure out how a pizza with one topping can cost $6 more than a cheese and more than a vegetarian with multiple toppings. I was hoping quality and taste would offset the prices, by BJ failed me here as well. The half-pepperoni (to be fair, I was charged much less than $6 for getting pep on half) was way overcooked and a 1/3 of it was not edible. The weird thing is that under the cheese, the dough was actually raw! Isn't that actually dangerous? Imagine for a second: overcooked cheese on top, cooked crust on bottom, middle raw later 1/4 inch thick in between. I had 2 kids eating that pizza and upon the discovery had to throw the rest of the pizza out when I saw that. The vegetarian's toppings were not cut up into small enough pieces and were barely cooked also. Wifey had most of the vegetarian and had diarrhea the next day. You can't even make this stuff up! read more
