Store was nice, staff was phenomenal, selection was limited, but still spent a few hundred.

A great place to find your gifting needs!…read more The main floor sells Richmond postcards, jewelry, dresses, notebooks, cups, purses, pens and they have a small seasonal section in the front. The top floor is where the dressing room is. There's a bridal section for bride-to-be or gifts for bridesmaids and local artists items being sold here. Overall: this is definitely a great place to shop for gifts. I'll definitely come back for bridal items for my friends that are getting married.

I returned to the store on July 18, less than 24 hours later to return the wallet. The employee behind the counter was extremely rude and did not explain anything as she was handling my return. I did not realize that I would not get a refund but only a store credit or an exchange. She was very unfriendly and after I quickly selected a random candle, she still did not explain that the rest of the return was in the form of a gift card which she had thrown into the bag without telling me. I turned to the person in line behind me and gave them the gift card. I am assuming that most of the customers are from out of town and that a gift card would not only be inconvenient but would probably not get used. The shop is cute and has nice things, but I would not recommend it to anyone. Maybe some training on customer service would also be worthwhile for the staff.

And perhaps even witnessing an adorable toddler* frolicking around the shop? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you need to check out Bliss. Started by two sisters, this adorable boutique boasts fashionable, casual apparel and the carefully selected inventory includes both of-the-moment styles and classic pieces. As Megan M mentioned, it's not a huge shop but new items arrive all the time so I love visiting on a regular basis to check out what's new. The clothing leans towards the more casual side, but I've snagged everything from a French Connection striped tee (perfect for lounging around the house) to a Cooper by Courtney strapless silk dress (cocktail attire when paired with heels and jewelry). One of my favorite aspects of the shop is the absence of purchase pressure. Both sisters are super friendly and always make me feel welcome from the moment I enter the store. I often find items to purchase (sad wallet, happy closet), but when I don't I never feel awkward leaving empty-handed. This - coupled with the fantastic frocks - has made me a loyal customer and fan. Whenever I feel the need to shop (which, let's be real, is probably way more often than I should) and actually have a little dough to spend, Bliss is always on my list of boutiques to visit. *One of the owners has the cutest daughter who sometimes pops into the shop with her mom. That question was kind of a joke, but she's super cute and brings even more cheerfulness to the boutique.

You'll find designer denim, summer frocks, going-out tops and a nice selection of fashion tape, sweat guards and other fashionista must-haves. One of the young, stylish owners is usually in the store, and she's super friendly. She also sells a few pieces from local jeweler Fleur. The designer stuff skews toward high-end, meaning prices aren't cheap, but the items here are pretty unique. Brands you'll find may include Ella Moss, LA Made, Free People and French Connection. There's also usually a sale rounder in back with some good deals on designer duds.

Paradise found! A decorator's dream! Every vignette, every display, every corner is breathtaking…read more I love this whole shop! The unique kitchen items are artfully appointed. Gorgeous greenery, flowers, foliage, succulents and garden containers - bouquets brimming with style! Wine and cheese and bar ware for gifts or for your own home! Jewelry to die for, artisans create beautiful pieces. Lovely mirrors, lamps, fabrics and more. You may want to take home one of everything! And I love that they quote Don Draper from Madmen on their window display! Clever endeavor! A terrific mix of mostly new decor, some reproductions, a smattering of antique pieces and a few repurposed items at decent prices. Friendly service too! I've also visited their booth at RVA antiques in Lakeside! But I'm glad they have a larger store close to my neighborhood! I hope they do well, this location has been a lot of different shops-may Relics and Rhinestones be here to stay!

Every time I've walked in I've been offered a refreshment and my gifts have been wrapped beautifully (along with a variety of ribbon colors to fit the theme of your gift). They have a handful of jewelry designers they carry so new pieces are always circulating through and usually run less than $30. The whole strip has become a destination for house decor but this is my favorite shop. Highly recommend!
