They removed all the trees, ground the stumps, cleaned the litter completely from our house and our neighbor's, and smoothed out/refilled the holes where the trunks had been. It gives us valuable summer shade, so I wanted to keep it rather than remove it, but it is high maintenance. It shoots new growth everywhere, drops leaves all season, and its roots threaten the walkway and the lawn. It had also been neglected and pruned poorly by our gardener, which made things worse.
