Victor (owner) took my design ideas and brought them to life and now we have the most beautiful front yard for our new home. I also want to highlight their staff- they are excellent at what they do and so professional. They treated my home with care and made sure to clean any debris and dirt off my porch every day before clocking out. They were so polite and friendly and it was such a pleasure having them. Victor and his team are truly amazing and I will definitely be using them again for my backyard soon! As someone who is particular, a perfectionist and can be picky I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them to anyone looking for quality and excellence. So thankful for them!

We did not have a concrete idea of what we wanted at first but Oscar was great with helping us plan by guiding us and asking about how we wanted to use our space. He also created documents to submit to our HOA for approval, and he was able to make changes quickly when needed. Victor and the crew were on time, efficient, and timely with the work. It was greatly appreciated that everything was washed down and cleaned by the crew at the end of each day. They were also able to make quick adjustments when our neighbor had some concerns with the hedges we wanted to plant. The scope of the work included adding a concrete pad, extending our concrete patio, planting privacy hedges with drainage and auto watering system, installing artificial grass with paver walkways, and adding pebbles along the exterior wall of our house. Since we have a soft watering system, we also had them install a separate line from the main. Overall, Caliscapes OC was professional, friendly, and accommodating. We even had one of the hedge plants not doing well. We reached out to Caliscapes OC to advise us on how to revive it, and they said they would replace it. We had a good experience and would recommend!

Despite multiple requests for repairs under the warranty, the owner has refused to come out and fix the issue. As seen in the screenshot I attached, after I politely informed him that we had chosen to go with another contractor, his response was unnecessarily passive-aggressive and unprofessional. I don't believe it's appropriate for a business to respond to potential clients this way -- especially when the communication was respectful. It's understandable that not every contractor will get every job. But the way someone reacts in these situations says a lot about their attitude and how they might handle challenges during the actual project. My advice to others: professionalism and basic respect matter just as much as skill. There are many great contractors out there -- choose one who makes you feel comfortable and respected throughout the process. Definitely not the one I would recommend, based on my experience.

This new space is for a hot tub we have on order. The new patio is next to an existing patio where our fire pit is located, and we wanted it to match with the same stone. Tony's bid was fair and he had good availability. Tony even went out and searched for the best matching stone to complement the existing space (other contractors did not offer this service-they suggested we go hunt for it). Tony and his team showed up promptly each morning and stayed consistently until the job was complete. They never skipped a day to work elsewhere or left early "to finish up" somewhere else. The number of days initially quoted for the job was also spot-on. Tony and crew cleaned up each day before leaving and were a pleasure to work with! We love the outcome and highly recommend!!

We got quotes from 3 highly rated Orange County landscaping companies, and learned in the process that our home did not have an irrigation line setup. These were a summary of the different companies responses: Company 1 (Most expensive estimate): "Getting water will be tough, I will build you a quote in 2 DAYS." Company 2 (Second most expensive estimate): "We can't get water, you will have to water them yourself." Hillside Pavers (Best value estimate): "We will figure it out. Here's the estimate and AI visual of the hedges in your backyard. We can start first thing on Monday and be done in 2 days." Hillside Pavers, specifically Project Manager/Designer Heather, her crew, and Administrator Valentina, is the team you want to work with. There's the basic pluses of a very well-valued estimate and a beautiful job done, and then there's the extended pluses that turn a project into an experience.  Heather on the design/project side and Valentina on the administrative/finances side listened to our project's needs, not only during the estimate's beginning stages, but throughout the project, all the way through to the final payment method. Both Heather and Valentina have genuine hearts, and as a team were very willing and extremely kind to accommodate our needs throughout the entire experience. As a pregnant stay at home mom with a young son, I felt more than comfortable and taken care of, and happy to be working with other women in this field as other quotes I had gotten were from male dominant companies that showed different in their correspondence. A true gem of a team and company. I couldn't recommend this company and team more. Big thanks!

Once the design was agreed upon, we were given a price and a start date. We felt so comfortable with Bryan and his staff that we didn't even explore other bids once we had the design (which the customer owns) in place. Bryan, the owner, is very patient and knowledgeable and gives you the feeling that all the details will be taken care of. We especially liked working with Jonathan, our project manager, who always kept us informed and responded to our inquiries in a timely manner. We started with a Zoom consultation where I was able to walk him through the property and the scope of the project. Bryan is incredibly knowledgeable and easy to talk to, making the whole process seamless. What stood out most was his professionalism and transparency. Even when our Zoom connection dropped, he called me immediately to finish the conversation without missing a beat. He was also very honest about the value of different tree sizes, guiding me toward the right functional solution rather than just pushing the most expensive option. It's rare to find that level of integrity!
