My elderly mom needed a bathing suit the night before a trip. Some folks suggested JC Penney or Land's End for a one piece. I got stuck at work and got there with 20 minutes to spare before closing. Long story short, Joanna along with two other ladies, started grabbing suits my mom could try on quickly. They gave her advice on fit. She left with a new bathing suit. I'm not generally a Lands End shopper, but we stopped in at this location to look for something specific. If you enjoy the brand and are a woman, you'll have lots to like here. Women's clothing is probably 75%+ of the space with small kids and men's areas. Personally, I find that the styles are rather "grandma" with lots of mock turtlenecks and Southwest patterns. Not my scene at all. That said, I scored a super high quality pair of water shoes on sale. They have a thick, sturdy sole and will probably last me forever. Staff is really nice too. If you like the LE brand, don't miss the small "bargain" room at the back. Lots of deals packed into a tiny space. read more

My husband and I arrived at Lands' End on a Sunday at 11:00am. This is the time that is posted on the website and on the door of the store as the time they open for business on a Sunday. Myself and three other customers were met at the door by an employee who unlocked the door and informed us that they were doing inventory and they MIGHT open at 12:00. I've never encountered such disregard for customers time and inconvenience by a business EVER! For people like my husband and I who work long hours during the week, weekend time is incredibly valuable. This incident is such a poor reflection on Lands End. If I could give more stars I would. The customer service I received at this location was amazing. This employee went out of their way to help me find the coat I was looking for at another location. Saved me so much money and time not having to purchase online. The coat was shipped to me from that other location for free. I received it within 2 days! Such a positive experience. read more

I love Lands' End Inlet. Usually I go right to their marked down section but lately i enjoy looking at the new items and how they mix/match them. I'm not too good at that so it gives me ideas. Some clerks are so helpful too when they see what I am taking into dressing room and they offer me suggestions of something to go with it. Usually not something I'd think of getting but end up loving. I get good deals on the mark downs but for special occasions spend full price and usually I am pleased. Their items seem to last forever and don't go out of style since not too trendy. read more

Outlet shopping without driving out to the boonies, feeling like I'm in a barn or shifting through eons of unmarked, unsorted clothes? Yes, please! All the great things you love about Lands' End, like any return, any time and $5 pant hemming, but with the convenience of a store, friendly staff and being able to try on the clothes. The front part of the store has clothes for sale at their normal catalog price, but the back part is where it's at - NQP (Not Quite Perfect). The other great thing is how informative the tags are here - they'll tell you right on them why the piece is in the store. Catalog return, discontinued, fabric fault, stain - the price tag says right on it what the "problem" is and if the issue is a fault, there's usually yellow tape on the piece to show you where it is so you can decide if it's a big enough deal to you. I've been a handful of times in the past few months and each time, the entire store has been some percentage off the already lowered prices, which is so nice. The men's section seems to be shrinking to just a few racks, but still, I rarely walk out of here with out some sort of incredible deal. read more

Wow, Linda, you were really rude. I pulled up my receipt on the phone to make my return easy and you push my hand away saying "I cannot have any phones because of security threat to the credit card machine." You pulled up a carbon sheet of paper a foot away from the machine and then proceeded to insist that you can write it by hand without looking at my phone or having me fill out my name/address, all the while your two coworkers took the information from another older customers phone right next to me. You watched and didn't stop her then when I ask you why I am a threat and not her phone, you say the person is new. Meanwhile you question me on my difference in billing and shipping address and then misspell my name that I just spelled out loud to you. Christine with a c not a k. Really, could you have just asked please put your phone away rather then reprimand me for having a phone near the counter? I didn't understand what you were saying fast enough to move before you start pushing my phone away. Put a sign out if you are so afraid of phones near the counter. Very disappointed with return policy. Returned defective shorts without a receipt. Prior to mailing them I was told by phone representative that there was no issue. Full price was $34.95 I received a $5.30 gift card. Not purchasing from this company again. read more

I won't order from Land's End again! I ordered a sweatshirt for my grandson for Christmas on November 27 and its still not here on December 10! After about a week after ordering, I received an email that the package might arrive on the 10th, but no sweatshirt! Two weeks is not acceptable to wait for shipment of a sweatshirt. I tried to put in an order today. Every time I have placed an order in the past, I have ALWAYS used a coupon. The coupon would not be accepted today. I got a message saying "need to add 0 items to qualify." Makes no sense. So I contacted Lands End. They told me to place the order and then they would put the 40% toward my order. Then they specified it could not be done with sale items. Looks like my items were on sale. I asked for 30% off. They said no sale items. I told them whenever I've shopped, I've always used a coupon. She told me she could do it. But then said no to sale items. No where on the website does it say this. She copies and pastes a message saying it does not apply to embroidery, etc. Again, no where does it say it does not apply for sale items. I tell her that and she responds with "I will forward your comments." She has no clue. I ask to speak to a manager, and she says they are not available. I told her I would wait and she says "bye." I wish I could give 0 stars. I went to the store to return an online order. Linda helped me, or shall I say didn't really help me. I had my packing slip along with the item for return. She asked me why I was returning and I said it didn't fit. She proceeded to scold me for not filling the reason for returning out on the slip and argued with me. This is possibly the worst experience I have ever had. She proceeded to process my return...without saying anything I then asked if the amount would be put back on my credit card. She looked up at me and yelled "Not yet!." Wow Linda...I was just asking a simple question to make sure I wasn't simply getting store credit. I grabbed my receipt and left. All of my visits to Lands End Outlet have been very satisfying. In the rare art of customer service, this store still has it. I went in with a mail order coat return because it didn't fit. Someone actually helped me get the same item in a petite to accommodate the length problem. All personnel were very knowledgable about their inventory and in the peak of Christmas bustle were still professional and happy. It was a nice switch from most retail establishments where the employees know nothing about their products and seem like they can't stand to see another customer. read more
