I dont understand how they pick what they are going to buy from you I had new adidas sweat suites and Niki they didn't buy them. I have a lot of great name brand clothes and they never take them. I do like they give you credit for the clothes and extra ouch for not using a bag. I have sold to them many times and I do not understand the buying. read more

Really good first experience here. Everyone was friendly. They were very efficient at sorting through what I brought in and their buying price is fair compared to other kids' resale shops. I love this place! As a mom it makes me feel good about buying resale especially with how quick clothes, shoes and toys are outgrown. I feel even better knowing I have a fair and easy place to go to sell my items. The selling of your children's items is very straight forward and does not take long. I have found many larger things like high chairs and play equipment where it's very clean and like new. For infant items there are many newborn clothes new with tags that I've bought for gifts. Staff is super helpful and kind. I've never felt bad if my items aren't purchased by them. They explain as to why not and most times it's due to what they already have in inventory. I have been a customer and seller to this store since they opened over 11 years ago. This new location is larger and easier to move around, but just as bright and welcoming as before. The resale items sold are carefully checked and of high quality and the prices are very reasonable. When selling to them, the owner and her associates are very particular, so bring only your best, non-stained, non-pulling items and you'll get paid a good price. I was introduced to this place by a close friend of mine.was told that this store buys back toys and childrens clothes. I decided take a couple dollhouses to sell to them. I called before I brought the dollhouses to the store as they are big dollhouses and didn't want to have to deal with them plus my little girl doesn't play with them anymore.i didn't get the lady's name that I spoke with on the phone but I was informed that they could buy back the dollhouse and would price it out with some "research" on the going price for the dollhouse. She did ask if it came with dolls/accessories, and I said "no" but she said they could still buy it from me..I was concerned that they wouldn't buy the bigger of the two cuz they had the same dollhouse up for display. But I was informed and assured that just because they have the same dollhouse up for display, doesn't mean that they wouldn't buy my dollhouse. sooooo what do I do?? I got soo excited that I finally got to send these dollhouses to a new "home"...but to my unbelievable surprise & shock, after taking both big dollhouses down to Children's Orchard, I was brought to the back of the store where they do the "researching & dealing" for "buy backs" and I was told that they do not buy dollhouses without the dolls/accessories!!!??! OMG.. so I brought two (almost 2 foot dollhouses) to the store only to have them tell me that they can't buy them, after being told on the phone that they could even without the accessories. WHAT EXACTLY IS YOUR POLICY ON DOLLHOUSES??? AND WHY CANT ALL OF YOU DOWN AT CHILDRENS ORCHARD KNOW THIS POLICY SO THAT CUSTOMERS DO NOT GET MISLEAD WHEN THEY CALL TO ASK QUESTIONS??? VERY DISAPPOINTED IN MY EXPERIENCE TODAY..and very tired from driving to the store with two dollhouses and a 3 year old to manage..wasted my time! If I could rate this store in the negatives , that's where they would be. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! I just showed up with 4 huge bins of clothing, all designer to resale and was turned away 45 minutes before closing. I kindly told the lady I spent 40 minutes in traffic trying to get to their store. She just told me sorry. First time visit today as a shopper. Had been wanting to come here for the last year, and I will definitely be back as a shopper and a seller. The woman working today was so nice and explained the process very well. Clothes selection is great, although I wish there would have been more shoes for toddlers. I love this place. Always pleasant and hassle-free and no air of attitude that a lot of places that you sell stuff at have. I've bought there a few times, mostly dresses for my daughter, and packs of tights and shoes. They only buy socks, underwear, and tights if they're in the package. Around January I took a batch of toys the kids weren't interested in to sell and she gave me over $30 which I thought was more than fair. Recently I took a small Rubbermaid of my children's clothing to sell and she picked out a few items and gave me a few bucks which I thought was fine. Stopped here while passing through Milwaukee, and SO GLAD we chose this store on a whim! The clothes were all in excellent condition or new, and high-quality brands- no weeding through worn out clothes. Prices were extremely reasonable, and most of what I got was on sale. The salesperson was helpful and friendly. They did not have a large selection of toys, but the ones they had were in really good condition, too. This place rocks!!!!! Much more positive experience here as opposed to other consignment stores. The staff is friendly & professional, I took in a bin of nice clothes, they took half of them, which I thought was fair. Unlike other consignment stores, they do not turn down nice clothing in excellent condition for petty reasons. I have not bought anything from that store yet, so I don't know how their prices compare. Overall great first time experience. read more
