I can't stress how good this place is. This is perfect "diner food" without the greasy atmosphere. It is clean, well lit, and the service is amazing. I met my cousin for a breakfast date and she suggested this joint. It's located in a strip mall and is pretty small. We got there right when they opened and we're able to order and get our food quickly. I got the country Greek, which was pretty good. She got the breakfast burrito covered in verde. I read others reviews that the pancakes were delicious, so instead of toast I got one. Honestly, I didn't care for the pancake. I prefer a super fluffy, soft pancake- which this was not. Our coffee was never empty. The staff was super friendly. Because we only see each other once or twice a year, our visits are always long. So, they were kind and patient with us- as we chatted over coffee for a little over three hours. We didn't feel rushed or like we were being pushed out at all. They have patio dining, which looked nice. It was a super humid and hot day, so we decided to dine indoors. But it would definitely be a nice place to eat on a spring or fall morning. read more

I used to be a huge patron of the "Roundhouse" at George's Cafe by the U of U. Ham, Sausage, Bacon, 2 eggs, hashbrowns and two pieces of cheese accompanied by toast. It was damn near perfect. Then George sold it and at some point it disappeared and my heart and stomach was sorrowful. His daughter has revived the Roundhouse and it is better than before with one small exception. #1 You can now choose between toast and a pancake (Before it was wheat, white or muffin). The pancake and the syrup were actually very delicious. #2 Cheese. George used only processed cheese. It wasn't bad but Landmark uses a real Swiss that tastes much better. That teensy complaint I mentioned. My hashbrowns were not done very well. Still edible and overall tasty but undercooked and a very light brown. Still. My heart and stomach are now happy again. read more

Home of the Roundhouse!! This is a nice continuation of the original George's Greek Cafe in the basement of the medical tower by Salt Lake Regional. The waitresses are excellent. Always great service. Patio seating available. My friend always orders the Pomarosa omelette. For me, it's always the roundhouse with over easy eggs. I wanted in the omelette. No big deal but the bacon was fried. YUK!!!! Much better off the grill or oven roasted. The fryer changes the flavor. The new omelette arrived undercooked with raw vegetables and the potatoes were under cooked also. Second time here. We previously ate lunch at Landmark Grill--just a club sandwich, but pretty good. Saw a positive review in the Salt Lake Tribune, so we went back for breakfast. My husband had the egg breakfast. He wanted over medium, but the egg yolks were so runny that he wondered what over easy would be like. We had to remind the waitress to bring his English muffin. I ordered the Denver omelet, which was tasty and a healthy portion. They serve these potato-chip like "hash browns". I didn't mind them, but my husband said they weren't his style. I give them points for originality, but don't call them "hash browns" when they're not. If you go for breakfast, I would recommend that you order an omelet. Just plain eggs don't seem to be in the Landmark Grill playbook. I would love to see them succeed because this location has housed at least three previous restaurants that failed and we have few family diner type places. But they've got to improve the quality of their food. read more

I ate at the Landmark Grill the other day for lunch and really enjoyed it. The waitress greeted me promptly, took my order right away, and my food was served up HOT and fresh only moments later. I had their patty melt with fries and it was DELICIOUS! I'm not easily impressed when it comes to food but I really enjoyed that sandwich. With cheap prices, BIG portions and friendly service the Landmark Grill has a lot going for it. I would definitely recommend this place and I will be eating here again. read more

This is your average diner breakfast food. As I walked past the kitchen to use the bathroom, they had a huge thing of hash browns from a bag, like a Costco bag. That is what the potatoes are, so just very average. The service was really awesome. read more

My wife and I came here Sunday around noon looking for a breakfast lunch sit down restaurant. The restaurant is located in a strip mall on the south side of fort union. I will say I originally missed the entrance because the sign threw me off as it's not typical for an eating establishment. It's multi-colored letters remind me more of a daycare or toys r us. The dining area is pretty basic with a set of four booths and a couple of rows of tables with a few seats available at the counter. There are a few tables outside but since today was cold they weren't in use. We came in and all tables were full so we put our name in and say on the two chairs they had for waiting and we were right next to the end table close enough to have a conversation. I tried not looking at them so I wouldn't make them uncomfortable and started gather information for this review. However it could get crowded very easily. It took a few minutes before we were seated at one of the tables and our drink orders were taken as we were seated. The drinks and waitress arrived a couple minutes later. I ordered Nick's original roundhouse and my wife ordered a burger keto style with a side salad. The food arrived about ten minutes later. Nick's original roundhouse consists of a bed of hash browns with melted cheese, then stacked with two pieces of bacon, two sausages and a slice of ham (Canadian bacon?) And topped with two eggs any style. It's a little bit reminiscent of garbage hash that hasn't been mixed up. Overall it was a good meal, decent portion, everything cooked well. The toast comes dry but with packs of butter if you want buttered toast. Service was quick and efficient. Good overall experience and I am sure we will come back to try another dish since they have many menu options. read more

I disagree with Todd. I found the gyro lamb patty and sliders to have great seasoning and flavor. I expected it to be a patty since the menu clearly stated it would be so. I think it was a very unique and clever idea to be so different, unlike the other gyro places i've been to. I really enjoyed this place. My son loves the gyro and I love the garlic burger. Located in a little plaza around the Ft. Union area, this little gem has a variety of things in the menu that could charm you. Lots of breakfast options, sandwiches, lunch menus, and salads. It's a mellow sit down place. The service was way nice, and the place itself reminds you of Miami in the 90s. You are not sure if it's greek or latin, but the colors are cool and it makes you feel like you might be by the beach, in the mediterranean or caribbean, so it's a toss on that one. My friends and I had breakfast items as we were there during the morning craving some good breakkie foodies. I had the rbeakfast sandwich I think it's called. It was okay. Not bad, but nothing out of the ordinary. They give you a choice between potatoes or something else, I can't recall the name of it, but they are basically potato chips. What bland, weird food. We went here since original pancake house was packed and it was empty except for two older men at the bar reading the paper and drinking coffee. I ordered the pancake "sandwich" and my husband got the eggs benedict. I immediately heard a microwave go off as my order went in, and felt disheartened. My eggs were fine enough, the pancakes brought me back to my childhood eating bisquick (in a bad way) and the bacon was thin, overly greasy and nasty. The eggs on the benedict strangely had no egg white, they were perfect circles, both over cooked. The ham was the best part of the meal sadly. I had the lamb sliders and my friend had the gyro also with lamb. Stay away from the LAMB!!! It's dry and tasteless in a ground beef style which is okay for sliders but not a gyro. A gyro should have slices of lamb meat off of a big slow cooking cooker (you know like all the other places around that serve gyros) not a ground lamb (like hamburger... gross) The service was great. I will give it another chance and I will not order any lamb. read more
