He is professional, his work-knowledge is impressive (and way over my head), and he's on top of his game when it comes to all the logistical details we had experienced issues with in the past with the other companies we worked with. In the end, we hired them to take care of the work and not only were my expectations met...they were blown away. Aside from the meticulous scheduling and punctuality, his workers were uncharacteristically (for the industry) and outwardly friendly. They did a wonderful job and then after the fact, even received a follow up to make sure we were happy with the work they'd done - something no other company had done in the past. While Kleinhenz was marginally less expensive, they won the business based on their professionalism. Clear, concise communication, defined start date and project time length, etc. I felt confident that they were a well oiled machine. Likewise the quality of materials, I later found out through talking with an acquaintance, is top-notch. The patio stairs they use are solid blocks, as opposed to using pavers, like most companies use, that will inevitably start wobbling. They were very helpful in the actual design, thinking about factors I hadn't even considered. The 3-D renderings not only made the project more real and exciting, but it gave me confidence that we were on the same page and there weren't going to be any surprises. Approx three weeks prior to the initial estimated start date, they solidified it and stuck to it. When I saw what they accomplished on day one, I felt very satisfied with the decision I made. The owner checked in with me nearly every day of the project, happily answering questions and giving me peace of mind. Near the end of the project, we threw them a curveball by asking for built in lighting for our new patio. They took it in stride, made the necessary adjustments, and even with that, they finished a day early. They did a great job cleaning up, even going so far as to ensure that the kids playset was properly positioned to our liking. Watching my wife and I go back and forth, "how about here?" The door does not lock properly, and the doorknob was installed noticeably crooked, which is both frustrating and concerning from a workmanship standpoint. Communication throughout this process has been poor. Despite raising these issues, it has now been over a month and the problems with the windows still have not been properly resolved. We also used this company for siding, and that portion of the project went much better, which makes this experience even more frustrating due to the inconsistency in quality. Unfortunately, based on our experience with the windows and door, we would not choose this company again and wish we had gone with a different provider.

Extremely Disappointed - Unprofessional Workmanship and Poor Customer Experience…read more I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with Signature has been so frustrating that I feel compelled to share it. What should have been a straightforward countertop installation turned into a 7-week ordeal full of errors, delays, and subpar workmanship. From the very beginning, the quality of the installation was unacceptable. The seam on the island was sloppy and drew immediate attention, outlets didn't fit properly due to poor measurements, the sink alignment was off, and the caulking was carelessly applied. A Side splash was installed on a wall I never approved, and the company did come back to remove it, leaving me to pay my contractor to patch and fix the wall. Despite multiple visits to "fix" the issues, the repairs were never up to standard. The same seam was worked on several times and left looking dull and worn on either side. Instead of using new material, they repeatedly tried to salvage the damaged piece, even suggesting shaving off sections of the quartz -- hardly a professional solution. Communication was often kept professional with the operations manager, Tim, but came across as cold and short during the final visit, which only added to the frustration. After several follow-ups and ongoing dissatisfaction, they finally agreed to remake the island with a new slab. By that point, I had already lost nearly two months of use in my newly renovated kitchen. I expected a professional job and instead got a prolonged, stressful mess. I'm a 70 year old retired man. I've been around, I've met a lot of people and dealt with many…read morecontractors. I've never had a worse customer experience than I had with Suncraft. Last April (2025), I hired them to replace the 30 year old wood deck (also Suncraft) on the back of my house with (mostly) composite. The sales and design phase were fine, John offered several excellent suggestions. Jeff, the owner, is an extremely unlikable, overbearing, condescending, arrogant know-it-all who doesn't understand basic physics. The ground under the deck is sloped and I clearly said not to use fine pea gravel under the deck because it would wash out during heavy rain. How do I know? Because that's what happened with the first Suncrap deck and it ruined my lawn for years. Well they used fine gravel and over the winter it slid downhill and pushed the wooden skirt under the deck out of alignment by a couple inches. Jeff couldn't understand how that happened, wasn't very interested in fixing it and I got him to push back the gravel and the wall. I suggested covering the gravel with plastic to cut down on the settling and he refused, but he told me he'd leave plastic and I could do it myself. Really? He didn't. So the problem that didn't exist before the Suncraft Touch is now oozing down the slope and I have to deal with this fiasco created by Jeff because he doesn't listen to customer input. The actual workmanship by the crew is subpar, to be polite. Poor joinery, the rail cap is a deck board screwed to the rail (and that's an "upgrade") The rail ends look unfinished and bush league. They built the stairs over a very obvious sprinkler head that required an emergency callout to my sprinkler company ($200). The deck failed final inspection on THREE counts. By the time they fixed that, it was mid-September. Been "doing this a long time" and can't pass a building inspection? There's a bunch of other stuff, I could fill a couple pages. To sum up: For $28k, you get a crappy deck and a slow moving gravelanche under it to deal with for the rest of your life. In our conversations covering 15 minutes total Jeff told me repeatedly he'd "been doing this a long time." And this is the best you can do? Really, look elsewhere. Anywhere else.
