    Chocolate Croissant
    Andy N.

Land & Monkeys is a local Parisian chain that offers some of the best baked goods you'll find in town. Oh, and did you know they happen to be fully plant-based/vegan? Surprise! I grabbed two pastries to fill my needs: chocolate croissant (hard to find it vegan anywhere) and a cinnamon roll. I took these to a nearby garden and they made the perfect breakfast goods. The croissant was pretty good but could've used a bit more chocolate filling and the cinnamon roll was just the perfect amount of sweetness. Not to mention that these were fairly cheap considering how much food costs in Paris. Definitely feel happy to have stumbled upon such a gem and looking forward to coming back soon.

When walking the streets of Paris, I just wanted to stop at a cafe to grab a coffee & pastry. I coincidentally found Land & Monkeys and this place was super cute. They had a huge variety of sandwiches, pastries and dessert! The staff was extremely kind, and let us know what their top sellers were to try out! I ended up going with the Almond Croissant, Baguette and their freshly squeezed orange juice! Everything was so delicious, but what I never would have guessed was that everything was VEGAN. I would never have guessed, and the really do such an amazing job making everything in house. 9/10 recommend!

    Lemon meringue tart?

After coming to this area yearly for 10+ years, this is one of my favorite desserts I have ever tried in Paris! I think it's a lemon meringue tart, but it could have a different name. It is balanced so well from the sweet to the tart. Just a perfect bite! I've tried a bunch of things from here and everything has been delicious, even when you go around three they're still fully stocked, which is nice cause a lot of dessert. Places in the area will be running low around that time. It's always pretty busy, which is nice, we love to see a good business thrive! English speaking friendly here and when I went last time, the girl I worked with was super nice and let me practice ordering in French with her.

Had lemon loaf, pistachio babka, croissant, pain au chocolate, focaccia tomate and olive ( SO GOOD), chocolate monk bread, cappuccinos and lattes, bahn mi. Coffee was perfect proportions. All plant based and eco friendly. Everything was absolutely delicious. Went back twice. Chocolate caramel monkey cookie, One of the best vegan cafe/spots I've been to around the world. Literally wanted to try every single thing there. All were incredible and 100% plant based. Very cute. Went to the Beaumarchais and also Les Halle's location. The Les Halles had more options like the foccacia (A MUST) and is central to the area. But both sooo great. Fast service and a great baristas clean has bathrooms and seating inside and out.

Another great boulangerie. This place is slightly larger than the one down the street with a…read moreslightly wider selection. It gets a cheaper rating but I thought the prices were very comparable to the other boulangeries in the neighborhood.Again they had great croissants (I tried them at every boulangerie we visited) and their large macaron "sandwiches" were also delicious (although not my MOST favorite of the ones we tried in Paris). This place was also just a few steps from our apartment so we visited it a lot as well. None of the women that served us during the week spoke English but again, you don't need much in a boulangerie. The service was always friendly and efficient. Often this place was busy but service was quick. No outdoor seating, and they were open until 8pm which was awesome. Later in the day you'll find that pastries and bread are not as fresh but even though we got macaron "sandwiches" at 7pm and they seemed a little damp from the fresh fruit in them, the taste was delicious. The outer shells of the macarons were slightly tough but the overall texture wasn't bad. the berries (we tried frambriose and fraise, or raspberry and strawberry) were incredibly fresh and tasty. I'm sure if we had purchased them earlier in the day they would have been even better. We also had the coffee eclairs and they were amazing!!! I don't care that much for eclairs as I do no like the type of bread used for them, but these were good enough that I'd get them again. The filling was rich and the coffee taste was outstanding.
