Very solid 4* rating!…read more Not sure why it took me a decade to check this place out, after a recommendation from an older European lady had recommended this place to me. It's definitely a "hidden" gem, tucked around the corner from Kipling Stn, in a really industrial area. Think a bunch of auto body and other older looking, unkempt buildings with cars parked out in front. There's parking in front of the bakery café and you hafta climb up a flight of stairs to go in. Not really accessible for older or customers with disabilities. When I arrived, the chairs were already on top of the tables. And after checking the hours of operation, they're only opened 'til 5pm, including Saturdays. They sell whole and cakes, pastries, but the slice/piece. Prices aren't posted, but it was just under $10 for 2 pieces that I got. When I arrived, near closing, they had B1G1 free on their tiramisu, so I saw that as a sign. They were delicious and still tasted free, not too sweet! (I took a pic of their price list and it seems very reasonable!) Judging on what they offer and what I've read, they have Austrian/German roots. Lady who helped me could've been friendlier/enthusiastic, but again, it was the end of the day. So I'm not going to hold that against her. I'd definitely check it out again...but it would hafta be during the day/Saturday!

What a lovely little cafe, unexpectedly in the middle of an industrial part of Toronto!…read more I dropped in for an espresso and a treat while I was getting my car serviced. It was 3:30 pm, so the cafe was empty. The selection is beautiful and they make everything fresh. I chatted with one of the owners (maybe?) and she talked about some of their specialties and special orders. She served me at a table even though I was only getting a small snack. I'll definitely come by again, and next year I'm ordering one of those German fruit cakes. :)

The cake was spongy, and the cream cheese frosting was spread evenly. However, I would have preferred if the frosting was less sweet although this wasn't a deal breaker for me and I would buy this cake again. The coffee is self-served in a corner of the store by the front door, but you pay at the register. There are also two chairs by the front window but the overall space in the bakery is quite small so I wouldn't imagine a lot of customers staying to enjoy their drinks and baked goods there. We also got a latte and they offered to add cinnamon on top which was a nice touch. We also got the ham and cheese croissant which was good, but I wouldn't say that it's the best croissant ever. I would want to try other bakery items and will definitely be returning soon!

I had tiramisu flavour which was rich and creamy. I would recommend it to try but only when it's sunny outside for dine in. They don't have seating area inside.

This is a very small patisserie selling Japanese inspired crepe cakes, gelato, milkshakes, crepes,…read morepastries, and hot drinks. They are known for their crepe cakes with 20 razor-thin crepes with pastry cream between each layer. There are other items such as caramelized popcorn, smash hearts, hot chocolate bombs, dried flower arrangements and gift boxes. I ordered the following: 1. Mini Egg Crepe Cake (slice, $10.95). This is a limited edition cake for Easter, with its pastel colours. 2. Vanilla Crepe Cake (slice, $10.95). 3. Basque Burnt Cheesecake (mini, $4.25). 4. Souffle Cupcake ($4.50). The crepe cake slices are so smooth and full of flavour. It was fun seeing if you could pull apart one of the crepe layers. The Mini Egg with crushed mini eggs on top was pretty and lightly sweet. The Vanilla uses premium vanilla beans from Madagascar and the top layer has torched sugar. The Basque Burnt Cheesecake has delicious soft runny cream cheese inside. The Souffle Cupcake has a very airy interior; quite a surprise for me. I was lucky to meet the owner, Christinn Hua. She has such a passion for what she does. She told me they use the best quality ingredients for the pastries and gelato. With the recent huge food price inflation, sherefuses to cut back in quality ingredients so it is a big problem to solve. Christinn and her staff are so courteous and helpful. There is no indoor dining. In warm weather, there would be 2 little tables and some chairs in front. During pandemic times, there is plexiglass at the staff area. The staff wear face masks. There is no free WiFi.  The patisserie is wheelchair accessible.  There are no customer washrooms. There is very limited paid street parking. Grapefruit Black Tea (4/5) was refreshing. A perfect drink to cool you down in the summer. It had citrus notes that were not too overpowering. Matcha Strawberry Latte (4/5) was enjoyable. You can really taste the matcha. It was complemented well by the sweetness and the strawberries. Iced Coffee (5/5) was great. Their coffee had a bold finish with a nutty note. We did find the grapefruit and the strawberry syrups/purees were too sweet so I suggest to ask the staff for a bit less if you're not a big fan of sweet drinks.
