Alice Marie is a small local cafe at Gerrard and Logan. It is not a big cafe, but there are seats and tables to have a cup of coffee with friends. They have baked goods and hot and iced drinks. Baked goods are good. Drinks are not expensive even though baked goods are expensive. The staff members are friendly, kind and helpful.

The baked good here are divine creations of sweetness and spice and everything nice. Stopped by and got a bunch of stuff: - Apple spice cake: Spongey and light and warms your tummy like only the right mix of spices can do. - Plum Crumble Tart: I'm not the biggest fan of plums but this just worked with the tartiness balancing that crumble exterior. - Pear Bundt Cake: Dense without being heavy, strong pear flavour. Also tried their hot chocolate (they use one from Soul) and the cappuccino which were both great compliments to the main baked goods. Mainly a takeout spot with a couple of small tables to sit at by the windows. Vibe is casual and welcoming. People are super friendly. Prices are a bit high but you get the quality you pay for. Overall, this is one of those bakeries you keep going back to to enjoy old favourites and discover new treats.

Alice Marie is a bakery and cafe at the corner of Gerrard and Logan. The small shop sells a variety of delicious baked goods, sandwiches, cookies, and cakes as well as have coffee and tea. The co-owner and baker who opened the place is most well-known as the pastry chef of White Lily Diner where Alice Marie is named after her grandmother. I've heard so much hype around Alice Marie since following them on IG before they opened and I finally had the chance to visit the bakery recently. It is definitely popular in the neighbourhood where there is a step to maneuver at the entrance to enter the store. The space is small but there is some indoor seating (2 round tables and 3 window counter seats) as well as a bench outside. The baked goods are put on display for you to choose from. I visited the shop in the morning but they do also have lunch sandwiches available as well starting later in the morning (around 11-11:30am). Upon entering the store I was greeted by friendly staff. It was hard to decide what to get since everything looked so delicious! I wanted to try that peach cake but dessert at 9:30am in the morning might be a bit too early for me. The chocolate cake also looked divine but I didn't have a cooler bag with me as it was a hot day (and I wouldn't be going home right away). I opted to get a cheddar chive scone and a cortado. Had my coffee and scone at the window counter seat - both were great. I also decided to get a chocolate chip banana bread to go afterwards. Overall, what a great bakery in the Riverside neighbourhood. It is definitely becoming a popular neighbourhood gem as there was a steady flow of customers coming in for coffee and baked goods during my short time at Alice Marie. Definitely have to return for their cakes in the future!

    Matcha latte

First time trying this bakery and it was okay. I ordered the matcha latte, but the cashier didn't know if their matcha was ceremonial grade. The matcha latte was okay, the good part is that they do not sweeten it, but it could've used more matcha as it was very milky. I tried their apple cider scone and it was good, I really enjoyed the flavour and apples inside, it was moist enough for a scone, but I wish they offered clotted cream to go with it. Their chocolate chunk cookie was okay, it was on the harder side, if you prefer that.

Can I make two reviews for one place?! Well I am now. The peach cake is now out of season but let me tell you. This cake was light and fluffy and the buttercream was light and the peaches were FRESH. How the cake is decorated is quite something else. It's stunning. Like you're eating edible art. The next cake is an apple spice cake and you best believe I will be there. They also have their version of a Deep n Delicious cake called the deep n nostalgic and oh man that one too is insane! Especially out of the freezer. The place itself is cute and always packed. Like get there at 9 if you want your first choice of stuff!!

My wife wanted to go there so we went on 2023-01-31 mid-morning when there would more selection…read more They definitely have quite a selection of pastries and savoury food. My wife always judges a French Cafe by their Butter Croissant ($3.00) and she liked it! She also noticed all the  staff speak French sp it gives it even more legitimacy.  She also ordered a Flat White ($4.50) which was also good. I ordered a Plum Almond Tart ($7.25) because it was the prettiest. It was super delicious so it was definitely a good choice! Service was courteous and friendly. You place your order at the counter and bring it to your table. Someone will come around to clear the dishes when you are done It is a great place to have a nice casual time eating and socializing. They make all their food in-house in the basement. There are products for sale such as coffee beans, fruit syrup, maple syrup, smoked sauces, olive oil, scented soap, wine glassware, etc. I will definitely come back again to try other items. There is free WiFi. The neo-bisto is not wheelchair accessible since there are stairs leading up to the entrance. There are two gender-neutral washrooms. There is free street parking on their one-way south-bound street. Review 2023-017

Amazing place! I…read morecalled ahead to find out if they had this plum tart I purchased the first time I was there. Yet no one answered the phone. No problem. Hopped on my bike and a half hour later I was there. The friendly staff helped me by answering my question regarding eggs and which items did not have any in the recipes. This place was also super poppin' when I got there. It was earlish in the day around 10:30am and it seemed all the tables were pretty much taken. They are adding a dinner menu which is very exciting. Their pastries are phenomenal!!! Picked up a plum and pistachio tart, a chocolate mousse cake and an apple Danish for my mom. Plus a chocolate caramelized croissant. So much butter, and yet so good. Brought my container, which they happily used. The last time I visited this spot back in 2022, I vowed I would come back and take up space in that beautiful bay window seat. Yet I haven't followed through with that yet. One day. They also changed the name, since I was there last it was called Le Conciliabule Lab. Le Conciliabule means, "speak easy", as their website says. It was used back in the day to describe a place where people would come together and talk about everything and nothing. I can definitely say that happens here. What a beautiful concept, "everything and nothing". Now named Bisou, which means kiss. That's actually really simple and sweet. Since every pastry and any food item or beverage enjoyed here is a kiss for your tastebuds. Love it. Keep going team. You are amazing!
