I've never really found a hairstylist that I liked... until now! I have been coming here for almost a year! I originally bought a Groupon and absolutely loved the haircut and style so I decided that this was going to be my place! Lindsey is professional and really takes the time to understand how I want my hair to be colored and styled. The first time that she did my hair, she had blow dryed it and realized that some of the product was still in my hair. Instead of ignoring it, she asked if she could rewash it! Ha was so wonderful, warm, and sweet. She came in extra early this morning for our wedding party to give pedicures and manicures. And she didn't just "do" our nails, she gave us hand and foot massages, exfoliating scrubs, and soft lotions. She was very skilled making our nails look absolutely gorgeous, and was so patient with us when we kept changing our minds on what colors we wanted. She gave great suggestions and guidance, and because if her we look freaking fabulous. Definitely go to Ha for nails and the most relaxing chair massage. I feel so fresh n so clean! read more

As a guy, all I need is a basic cut that I can trust. Stephanie at Lakeside has come through with consistent quality for quite some time. This salon has everything the ladies need too for color, style, and nails. But, as a guy, I appreciate that it doesn't smell like a chemical depot inside. Sure, I pay a little more than the chain stores to get a good cut, but I'm also not paying extra for a beer, and ESPN, like the "manly" barber shops. My husband and I are almost done with our road trip to our new home in Alaska and stopped outside of Portland for a few days to hang out. I desperately needed a mani/pedi and found that Lakeside Salon was nearby and had good reviews. I decided to call to book an appointment. Ha told me she was busy that day but if I wanted to come in early the next day she'd take care of me. She is so amazing and wonderful! She exfoliated, lotioned, massaged and painted my nails to perfection. I honestly have never had a more wonderful experience. And Ha is so sweet, we nonstop chatted the whole time! I hope we're back in this area again someday just so I can see her again! I highly recommend going to this salon and for all your nail needs definitely go see Ha! read more

Cute salon with good service. It's not easy to see off the street but I guess thats what makes it really nice, kinda more private. Lindsay did my hair and I LOVE IT!!! I wanted to get a purple tin on my hair and we did it the 1st time but the results i was looking for were not there. So at no cost she redid my hair until the results were what i was looking for. She also did a Brazilian Blow out and my hair looks great and feels great! I will for sure keep coming back to Lake Side Salon and see Lindsay. I would highly recommend this place to anyone of my friends and family. read more

I went to Dawn and she told me that if I got a Brazilian Blowout I would keep my curl and lose my frizz. She promised me that I would not lose curl. Well guess what I did. I stop going to her and went to another stylist in the salon Lindsey and she told me Dawn didn't do the right technique for my hair type. I went to Lindsey for a year and then last time she left color on my face and caused me severe irritation. She also must have left the color on too long as my scalp was burnt. It was so bad I had to go to see a dermatologist and was told my scalp pain was from the hair color being left on my hair too long. It took 3 days to get better. I told Lindsey and she said she didn't do anything wrong and wouldn't not give me a refund when asked. I gave her pictures showing the redness and a note from the dermatologist and she still says it wasn't her fault and kept my money. She also told me she doesn't want to do my hair in the future because I caused her stress. What a joke, she caused me 3 days of pain and a trip to the dermatologist. She should have given me a refund. It's not like I was also asking for the doctor fee and pain and suffering. I can't believe she would not refund a good long standing client. Ha the nail technician in the salon is great. She always does a great job and I have been going to her for over 6 years. I give Ha 5 stars. I put 1 star for Dawn and Lindsey in the hair salon. read more

I went to Lakeside Salon with all my hope of an amazing experience, Dawn promised a lot ... and at the end ... I was very, very disappointed !! One more hair stylist I do not like ... What happened?? She says about herself ... I help each client to find a color .... I asked for a cool blonde tone for highlights ... well she didn't help me to find a color she choose one for me .... she did not even offer a variety of cool blondes tones to look at it ... what would fit me the best ... so my so called highlights are here & there pretty yellowish ...well I expect from a stylist doing the work for 20 years ... and calling herself a specialist in color something better .... for my haircut I wanted a layered short Bob hair cut .... and now I look like rats has eaten on my hair .... its a way shorter as I wanted ... doesn't look like a bob hair cut at all ....but at least hair grow again .... the only thing what was really great are my eye brows ... she did a really good job on those ... so I will not go back .... it was a waste of money ..... read more

I just got home from the worst pedicure of my life. Not only was the salon where they do pedicures filthy, with dust everywhere, but the pedicure was done so poorly and my nails are left crooked with polish on my cuticles. The woman who does nails didn't wash any of the equipment, including the pedicure tub, which I watched her re-fill with water for the next customer. She was also on the phone for a majority of the service and when I asked for her to actually do what she was supposed to be doing (i.e. cut my cuticles, file my nails, buff them. . .) she acted annoyed. The Livingsocial that I bought said a spa manicure with Shellac and all I got was my nails filed (very poorly) with shellac put over them--no massage or anything else was done to the nails. She also got shellac all over my nails and under the beds and never had me wash in between as most salons do. Lastly, she wouldn't let me look at the nail polishes before hand, forcing me to sit down, even though I couldn't see the polishes she had. I had to then get up after she had washed my feet, walked across the salons dirty floors to where the polishes were. The polishes were old, with dust all over them and pretty much all shades of maroon and blush. I can't say how disappointed that I spent $30 on this service and I seriously think this place is not up to code. Do not waste your money, or your time coming here--even if you bought the Livingsocial! I'm scared I'm going to wake up tomorrow with an infection!! read more

Great salon! Have been going there for about 8 years. I have a pedi, every couple of weeks with Ha. She really does a great job and massages your lower legs and feet at the same time. What a treat! The polish colors are all over the spectrum; blues, greens, purples, reds, you name it. You can also bring your own color if you want. I've never noticed any dust or filth that one reviewer mentioned and the tubs are always clean. I also get my haircuts and hi-lights in the same salon with Kim. All these girls do a great job and I highly recommend. You can also buy gift certificates for facials and waxing. These people are the best! read more
