I don't often write reviews but I wanted to share my pleasant experience I had at Nail Lounge yesterday. When you first walk in, you'll notice how spacious and beautifully decorated the space is. It is not like your typical salon where you are immediately hit with the smell of chemicals, since they don't use any of the toxic products. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Christine was my nail tech and she was very kind and professional.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She helped to remove the residual acrylic I had on previously and helped me decide between Gel X vs. Builder Gel as options for my next set. [[HIGHLIGHT]]She was also patient while helping me decide what color and decide I wanted.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My nails turned out beautifully and exactly as I had wanted. They also feel healthy and strong which is always a good thing for someone who frequently gets their nails done. I would definitely recommend this salon for its cleanliness and professionalism, as well as the beautiful nails that you get to walk out with! read more

Well I really wanted to love this place. Salon itself is great. It's clean and quiet. It's very spacious and I like that they get a lot of natural lighting. Whoever did my nails was good too. However, my daughter did pedicure and manicure, and the person didn't do anything that's listed. All she did was paint and bit of massage. She didn't even clip my daughter's nails. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Our 7 years old was shocked. She doesn't get to go nail salon as often but she's gone to a few places and never been disappointed like this place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I understand kids are just kids but we were there to be pampered for my birthday. Overall I am not pleased with the gel x set that I received tonight. I arrived a little late which is bad on my part but it does not excuse the rush job that they did on my nails. They still had an hour and twenty minutes to do my set. I showed them an inspiration photo I have also provided in the gallery of photos. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The process was going well until I was cut on two of my fingers without any apology.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They also did a messy job applying the gel, there are lumps and bumps on each nail as well as pooling at my cuticle. Lastly they finished a whole thirty minutes earlier than closing which was supposed to be at 7pm. I highly recommend Crystal as a nail tech. She took great care of my toes after I had run and felt I needed a pedicure. Runners will like her technique. Genuinely worst nail salon experience. They made my mother bleed profusely, threw glue on the blood after panicking about it, left her GEL nail tacky and basically tried to blame it on her. Still charged us full price. No apology or anything. I never have ever wrote a bad YELP review but this sucked. Don't recommend. read more

I popped in for a gel manicure for my son's wedding. The technician did a terrible job! I believe her name was Lynn. [[HIGHLIGHT]]She was rude and rushed her way through the appointment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The gel was applied unevenly and very thick. Less than a week later, every single one of my nails began to lift! I went to a nail salon closer to my house when I got home from the wedding and I was told that that was a "really bad gel manicure." In fact, the salon manager of my local nail salon told me that if one of her technicians had done that terrible manicure, she would've made them redo it free of charge. I would recommend steering clear of the Nail Lounge. read more

I have been here a few times now to see Kelsey and am always impressed with how quickly and accurately Kelsey does a manicure. I often like to get regular polish done because I like to do my nails at home often. She is never judgmental about me not getting gel or dip, which is something that I have run into at other salons that is very annoying. The place in itself is very cute so i was expecting great service, but was severely disappointed with the results. when i got there, the lady doing my pedicure was shaky, which resulted in her taking longer and my classic french tips that i requested to be completely lopsided, i asked for them to be reshaped, which she tried to do, but ended up just as thick and uneven. [[HIGHLIGHT]]because of her shaking, i let it go, trying to be nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] when i went to do my hands, i asked for a classic french tip, with the tip being a baby pink color, and some sparse glitter on the nail bed. everything was going great, until one customer came in, and she began to hurry. i though that they might have double booked, but seeing as there where other workers just walking around, didn't think much of it, until she started to rush through. [[HIGHLIGHT]]she told the client, "they will get started with your pedicure, i'll be with you as soon as possible." which i thought was somewhat weird, because of the other three ladies simply sitting and talking.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] it's then that it all went downhill. for the sparse glitter, she instead added the chrome on top of my nails, to which she didn't ask if i liked it at all, and she proceeded to make the french tip be white, which also ended up being very messy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]i let this all go because she had mentioned that she needed surgery for her knee and was in pain, and thought she was doing her best.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]i was later informed that she was actually one of the managers, and she was trying to rush to help the other customer because that customer is 'picky,' which left me feeling conflicted because she was indeed prioritizing others over me, as a first time client.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]i mentioned this to the receptionist in the nicest way possible, but was met with a really rude attitude, such as her saying, "why didn't you speak up earlier," and, "we can redo them instead."[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] i had already been in that place for three hours, which made me miss a hair appointment. [[HIGHLIGHT]]i myself work in customer service, and this attitude is something that nobody should receive, especially since i was being very sympathetic, and i was met with guilt tripping.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] very incredibly disappointing. they only gave me 15% off the nail french design, not the nail set itself. i left with ugly nails and toes. so disappointed. read more

Overall: 2-3 out of 5. 2 if you expect perfection, 3 if you have standard expectations. Number of times been here: 1. I walked in on a Wednesday late morning, was accommodated immediately. I was one of 3 patrons and 7 technicians there, very empty. Most of the technicians seemed friendly and professional. I do not enjoy chatting during services since this is a rare time I can relax and my technician didn't ask me too many questions which I appreciated. Space: Lots of tables and massage pedicure chairs, could accommodate many patrons. Seemed clean. Precautions: 5/5. New sanitized equipment opened in front of me. Type of service: gel manicure and the $70 pedicure (it might have been called refresh or something similar) Shape: 4/5. I got the shape I requested on the first try. 8 out of 10 fingers have uniform shape, the other 2 are slanted at an angle which I didn't catch before gel application. Toes look uniform. Polish application: 5/5. I got gel on my natural nails. She spent an appropriate amount of time applying and making sure even and covering the tip. No streaks and not too thick for being 3 coats. There is only one cuticle with a small amount of polish on it, otherwise looks clean on all edges. Service was done today so I can't comment on if it's growing out well. Polish selection: 5/5. Seemed to have a good selection of polish and gel, I didn't have a problem finding one I liked. I don't do dip so I am not sure if it was as extensive. Cuticle care: 1/5. I was cut/bleeding on 2 toes and 4 fingers even after asking not to have my cuticles cut 3 times unless a visible hangnail was seen. Two of the cuts were caused due to over vigorous buffing, the other 4 were immediately after cuticle trimming. On one particular area she asked if she could cut it, I answered no, and she cut it anyways causing it to then bleed. I think that listening to your clients is important, regardless of what you think will look best in your opinion, so I was displeased that this request was not honored and that it resulted in multiple injuries. These areas now ruin the look of the manicure sadly because they are red and scabbed. Pedicure service: 3/10 overall. The order: water soak, nail work, heel filing, moisturizer, paraffin, hot stones, and leg mask while polish applied. Massage was incorporated before-after the paraffin with the moisturizer and hot stones. My own mistake was not realizing this included hot stones when looking at the description. I personally don't find the stones provide the level of pressure I'm looking for and are too hot at the beginning. I prefer a longer, firmer massage. (Comparatively the massage with my manicure which was not with stones was also lacking strength and knowledge of stress relief points) Lemon fragrance of water/products was fine, not super exciting. Heel care was good. Regardless of the hot stone preference, I have had many other better $70 massages elsewhere. This was just average and did meet my pedicure needs, but I wouldn't rave about it. I just moved here and this is the first place I tried out based on the reviews. I'll try some other salons most likely before going back here again. They did give me a $10 coupon (not sure if this is for everyone since there was a pile sitting at the front) so I may come back to use that at some point and will hopefully won't have as many cuts. They have a few foundational blocks of a good nail salon that could improve. read more

Probably one of the worst mail technicians I've had. Explained that I had to attend a wedding and would like a full set of acrylic nails. She didn't even take off the mail polish before putting on the acrylics then tried to color it up with a light pink color, which did not. She kept telling me to "trust her" so I trusted her and it looked terrible. So she had to redo the nails. She then rushed to paint the white tips. Missing areas and would get frustrated when I'd point it out and said don't worry. I'd steer clear of this place! Although they gave me a 50% discount, it's not worth a shitty job. They offered to fix it a 3rd time after it was complete (several nail technicians took a look during the process and tried saying it was fine), but I declined. 1.5 hours is long enough especially when Hannah disregards your input and taking time. this was literally the worst nail salon I have ever been to. it was 100% rushed. i was not asked what service I wanted, she ripped my nail polish off, stopped half way through to wax someone? when she returned she put cuticle oil on and then wiped it off with a hot towel. after that she just left. didnt tell me if I was finished or anything. when it came time to pay they told me it was $120 then she changed it to $126 when I asked why it was that much. 10/10 wouldn't recommend going. they're lucky they got 1 star. read more

I went here cause I travel and visit Oregon from California regularly. I paid 65 for a medium length coffin French tip. I had a guy doing them and the whole time his hands were shaking, I thought it looked sloppy so I asked if A girl could do it instead, he was laughing at me and saying stuff. I got a girl to do them and they are very sloppy still. As someone who does nails themselves it isn't hard to do French tip and as a certified nail tech if u can't do a simple French tip then u shouldn't be doing nails, especially if your hands are shaking the whole time. read more

I give no stars minus stars - extremely bad nails and expensive- my daughter who is 16 had a full set put on and was charged 80.00 for a terrible swt of nails - bubbles and texture when there should be none. she spoke up many times and they continued to do a poor job and not adjust based on her concerns- they rushed her out the door and locked up before her father could pick her up. very disappointed that my daughter was taken advantage of and not heard and pushed out the door- they agreed to do her nails and then rushed to get her out when they took longer than the closing time.
