Kaya does a fantastic job on my lashes!! I've seen her 4 times total now, for a lash lift/tint every month. I don't wanna sound dramatic but it has been life changing haha! I'm absolutely obsessed with pretty lashes so I'd always wear fake ones (because mine were short, sparse, blonde and stick straight - the combo from hell.) On my first visit I told her about the serum I had just started using, she advised me that I could bump up my usage of it, and oh my gosh! Within a few weeks they were drastically thicker and longer. The results have amazed me. Paired with my lift/tint, they absolutely look better than ever and I don't even wear my falsies anymore! Which is a big deal for me haha. (I've considered lash extensions but the maintenance really doesn't fit with my lifestyle so this is undoubtedly the next best thing!) I don't have to curl them at all anymore and they are dark and perfect. They look great right when I wake up in the morning and after I remove my makeup at night. I recently moved and was looking for a new place to get my lash lifts, so I was excited when I found a local woman owned business. Sadly, I received the WORST lash lift I have ever gotten, and I've been getting lash lifts for over 15 years. There was hardly any lift at all - absolutely not worth $90 of service. When I brought up my disappointment in the results to Kaya, I was told that I would need multiple lifts to achieve the results I wanted (I have NEVER needed more than one in the past including one I received less than 6 months ago from another business) as well as many long winded texts "educating" me on why the results didn't meet my expectations (age, covid, the way my lashes grow, etc.), which were really excuses since I have never had any issue before. I followed her instructions - brushing them up and not getting them wet as well as using a serum I purchased from her. She offered to do a second lift for cost of materials only, which I thought was inappropriate considering that the first lift was not successful. After traveling and contracting covid, Kaya told me I was out of the window (an arbitrary time period that was never communicated) to receive any services to remedy the issue. I had my first set of Lash Extensions put on the other day by this great amazing person Kaya Papaya. She was very kind and gentle made me feel very comfortable. I have seen bad extensions, my lashes feel so natural as if they were my very own lashes. My eyes can be sensitive, but with this product it has been great on my lashes no reactions what so ever. Unfortunately I've never had the opportunity to get a spray tan here, but I have tried multiple times. I have no doubt their spray tans are anything less than amazing, but customer satisfaction is lacking. I had an appointment on June 23rd before a big trip and the day before I get a notification that my appointment is cancelled due to the spray tan machine breaking down. I frantically found another appointment elsewhere and understood that things happen. They kindly offered half off my next tan due to the inconvenience which I appreciated. I have another trip coming up next week and contacted this establishment 2 days ago stating.. "Hi there. I would like to reschedule my spray tan appointment from June 23 to July 11 at 4:30p if you have it available. Please let me know when you have time. Thank you." ..no response. So I contacted them again the day after (yesterday) stating.. "Do you have availability for a spray tan appt at 4:30p on the 11th?" ..no response. Finally someone responds today saying they don't have availability at that time. They offered me an earlier time that day or 2 days after that which I can't make. I understand things happen, but the fact that I had to wait 2 days to get a response really rubbed me the wrong way. I just don't think that's great customer service. I'm really bummed because I saw the great reviews of this place and really wanted to give it a try, but this is too much effort for a spray tan. Yes! Finally an amazing spray tanner! Kaya made me feel so comfortable the whole time! Standing naked in front of a stranger can we super awkward but honestly by the end I had totally forgotten I was naked! And to top it off my spray tan is perfection. I'm fair so I run into the issue of people going to light or way too dark. The color is still developing but I can already tell it's a nice medium and perfectly customized to my coloring!
