The staff is great! All of them are pleasant, nice, helpful. I'm enjoying the tan for the UVB to help keep my psoriasis in check. So far so good. I will be a regular. Here is bed 1 for example. This is the highest bed you can get with the Diamond package. The bulbs are always burned out and never changed. Started with one lamp now there are 4 bulbs out. Here is a photo of the bed turned on with 4 bulbs burned out. The diamond package isn't cheap. The salon owners are aware that the bulbs are out yet nothing seems to happen. Sometimes they close the salon without any notice as well. Very frustrating! read more

Horrible customer service. They have no desire to make their mistakes right and made me feel like I'm crazy after they lied to me and sold me a fake package. They told me I would receive 5 sprays for $60 but they only gave me 3 and management didn't make it right. Take your money somewhere else.... support other tanning salons! This location wasn't open Saturday or Sunday. Posted on Instagram after they would have opened that they're closed due to weather. Today they posted 30 minutes after opening that they would be open later in the day 11-5. When I posted on IG asking if members would get a credit or free upgrade they took the posts down. My comment on today's post they removed. A lot of small businesses opened during this weather and for this new business owner to not be open poor business practice. They hire young females to work here. If they're not comfortable driving into work catch a ride with someone or the owners go and open the place like a lot of the local Tigard businesses did. Taking advantage of the fact customers pay a members fee so it's no loss to them and they saved on electricity not running the machines yet no compensation for their loyal members. read more

This place has always had super nice staff. I even hired someone who worked for them, to this day still works for me, and adore her. So nothing but positive feedback or their front desk. On the other hand management, not so great. Since COVID my package has been "frozen" and fees waived. I emailed the location throughout this time period and was told that I would be notified about reopening as soon as they knew. Low and behold June 5th they charge my account without notice. I emailed them immediately and still to this day have received no response and the phone number on they have listed does not work. I would have like to have been given the option to freeze my package and pay the fee for just a little bit longer as I am still not comfortable tanning in public beds yet. It seems a little scandalous to me, but hey if they want the chargebacks from customers so be it. read more

I've been to tanning salons over 25 years on and off. The car salesman on lotion and upgrades to where I almost avoided using my packages gets super old. If I want something I'll ask thank you. Not to mention the rotating staff and some that are sketchy. This place has been a remarkable breath of fresh air and I hope it lasts. Professional, informative, and super nice staff. I've been tanning for years and so excited to have this new salon close to home with such friendly staff. I've done them all as well; palm beach, suns up, other local small salons. I have attended this salon chain for over two years. I had a medical condition that required tanning as a solution. I have to say how incredible the owner and the staff have been. I got to know Patrick quite well over the years and he is one of the sweetest and most kind people I've met. So many of his staff are kind and friendly and fun to be around. Everyone has always taken great care of me. This location and others have gone through amazing upgrades. The atmosphere is clean, posh and inviting. I love it so much here. DO NOT GO HERE! Very dissatisfied with this business. Had a few vacations coming up and wanted to get a base tan. Signed up for 3 months and paid up front. Came back the next day to find the doors locks, open sign off and no note explaining why they weren't open during their posted hours of operation. Called the number on the door and got a VM. Left a detailed message asking them to call me back. Heard nothing. Went back the following day to find the same situation. Called the location on Barrows and was told that they are owned by the same person. I then asked if I could be seen at their location instead. Was asked to hold so they could help a customer, the hung up on. I called back and was sent to VM. Left another detailed message asking to speak with a manager. Drove by the Barrow location to talk to someone in person the next day and they are now pulling the same thing, locked doors during business hours. Still haven't received a single call from either location. I will be reaching out to the BBB if I continue to be ignored. I understand that the "world is short staffed" but this is not good business practice and is completely unacceptable. read more

I normally go to Tigard North location, but this day I ran here for a quick zap. I walked in a little shy, being new. And the guy at the counter was soooooo fun and friendly! I didn't know what kind or beds they had so I told him to pick my bed. He looked at my account and told me I was going in the first bed. He proceeded to tell me how much I will love it and to get ready for a good time. He had me so excited! And he was right! I turned a complete 2 shades darker! When I was done I opened the door still amazing and he looked at me and said "told ya so" haha . Such a fun and inviting environment! I def recommend this location and that bed ! read more

I feel so many times we review when service is bad and we do not do a business justice when the service is great and do the same. After WEEKS of my local Tan Republic being closed with NO explanation, I drove a bit further to the Tigard location. I had seen signs recently that indicated "re-opening" and I knew the owners of this location were not the same as my local TR. I was greeted by Josh, who was friendly, helpful and gave not only the background on TR, but his history with the company as well as a few of his peers. Josh gave me the tour as if I was a new customer, told me of regular weekly perks (sorry folks, you need to go in and chat with them to find out what they are), and provided recommendations on the beds that my package includes. This location is under new ownership as of 1/2018. The beds and facility are clean and Josh went above and beyond. Go see them, be nice and you could also walk out feeling great about TR like I did. read more

First i bought 75$ groupon for 3 months of silver bed tanning. Which under the groupon page specifically has this Tigard location listed as particpating location. So i go in and the guy who is working says their location silver bed has been down for over a month and he cant give me the deal... Then after calling up "corporate" which i find strange they have listed in their personal phones.... Hour and half later... And back and forth that i cant go to other locations because they are too far we agree on 2 mo of gold beds instead... Ok fine, i guess that is a fair trade. Well a month later and i go in to tan and i walk in and the lady who claims to be the manager comes out of another room cursing about how she hate having to do laudry here... Blah blah... So she says no you only have one month and paid 59$ and im like what are you talking about so she digs in the act and says there are notes here that says 2 gold beds but it doesnt mean months so i need to call corporate... And call the guy who signed you up... Blah blah... Well while being rude condescending and down right trashy... Im not sure what ghetto hood she grew up in but there was soooooo much lack of customer service i was just like u know what i don't want your services... And i just walked out. So take this as a warning... They are the shadiest people ever dont tan here if you value customer service and hygiene place is dirty and employees are just down right awful! read more

Bait & switch! This place is a scam. I bought a Groupon for 1 month of silver UV tanning. When I went to use my Groupon, the guy at the desk said that their location doesn't have any silver beds but that I could pay $50 to upgrade to a gold bed. That or drive to a different location. I bought this specifically so I could go to a place 5 minutes from home. The fine print stated that the certificate was valid at "select locations" including Tigard. The desk person put me on the phone with Adam who gave me the same offer. The two of these guys both got so defensive, but remained unwilling to budge. They suck you in with a coupon and then tell you the only way you can use it is if you pay more. Worse than used car salesmen. All I wanted was some relaxing tanning time and a little color before my vacation. Not worth the time or energy to deal with this joke of a business. Now to Groupon to get my money back. read more

I had purchased a Groupon, and both times I went the store 3/31 and 4/2 during business hours they were closed. I wasted time waiting for someone to arrive, and am very disappointed. They have lost what would have been a loyal customer as I refunded the Groupon since I could not redeem it. read more

They won't show you prices. They "make a deal." Then, when cancelling because of an out of state move, I filled out the paperwork and they continued to charge me after my 3 month package. I kept my copy of the cancellation form, but because they said it wasn't signed by an employee, they couldn't refund my money. The employee who had me complete it was brand new and didn't know what to do with it. Tan Republic is telling me that because it wasn't signed, they can't honor it. What kind of company does that. How is it my fault that they can't train their employees. What a rip off. read more

WORST EVER! It's taken me awhile to write this but don't want anyone else to have an experience like this here. My mom (75yrs old) and I were leaving for Maui and decided to get a spray tan the day before we left. This was last minute and while out I used Yelp to find a place. Tan Republic was more money but had 5 stars so we decided on it. I called to see if they had a special for first time customers, they didn't. When we arrived we walked in to a freezing cold building. The girl working was literally shivering and in coat and scarf. She said "our heater is broken but it's getting fixed soon". She should have offered up this information when I called to find out info, But she didn't. At this point our time was limited and we should have walked out but she assured us it would be ok and she would get us a heater. So we went ahead and paid. Come to find out, not only did she not tell us the building was 40 degrees when I called but she didn't know where anything was because she was from a different location. When we asked about the heater she looked around and found a blow dryer but then realized there were not any electrical outlets in the spray room. So she put the blow dryer in the bathroom across the hall and said she'd get us towels to cover with and we'd have to go into the bathroom after to use blow dryer ( naked). Then once again she did not deliver. No towels, she looked through the desk area and came up with one towel and some rags( old hand towels ). She said " you can share". So, we shivered and got the spray tan in a tan booth where only two out of three of the nozzles worked and went naked across hall to bathroom to blow dry the solution. We were back and forth from crying to laughing because it was so unbelievably horrible. We left thinking, that was quite a story to tell but after all this neither of us, both very pale, even got any color from it. A horrible experience, tan solution didn't work and we paid $60 for a really bad experience. Beware!!! Go somewhere else!!! I'd love a call from the manager of this chain of stores too!!!!!! read more
