Worst ever. False advertisement I went in there one time and they had a lotion on the counter and it was marked 50% off when the lady went to go ring it up she said hold on let me call my manager. The manager told her that that sale ended yesterday, this was back in January. Today (July 2026) I went in because I called two different Palm Beach locations to find out their specials and both said I did not need a membership to get the two week deal that they had. So I drove on down there and sure enough you need a membership to get the two week deal. What a crock of shit I only needed two weeks too! I don't want a membership because I'm only doing it to go on vacation. Why would I buy a month membership when I only need it for two weeks so stupid? Scammers! read more

I've been going to PBT for years and it's a great experience. Most of the time the staff are so nice and helpful. I want to give a big shoutout to Piper. She is awesome! She is always so sweet and is always smiling even when patrons are being nasty to her because the patrons are impatient. She deserves a raise in my opinion. read more

I called ahead about the valentines promotions 2/7-2/14 that are advertised across all social media platforms including by not limited to $39.95 unlimited sunless membership. I verified that there we no exclusions or exceptions. When I was assured there was NOT I drove to my closest- not convenient - location. My membership has been frozen so I was required to unfreeze in order to change the membership type. My ONLY incentive to unfreeze would be to change my membership from sunbed to sunless at this advertised rate. This new rate would be the same as my current no additional cost would occur. AGAIN - called ahead to verify. Only after paying to unfreeze was my associate ( the same I has spoken to on the phone) informed that my location and all neighboring locations have opted out. She discovered this in an email. She admits to speaking to several customers about the promotions and confirmed them to be on the website with ZERO visible exclusions. I am not the first and wont be the last to be misled and disappointed. I am seeking the rate as advertised for the unlimited sunless gold membership $39.95. read more

Horrible customer service. Girl hung up on me on the phone after I asked to cancel a subscription stating I needed to come in to cancel as I had signed a contract. Ah the old "you signed a contract" threat coming from the mouth of a snotty girl. This seemed like a reasonable issue to resolve over the phone. Apparently not for Palm Beach Tan. Refused to give me the managers info or her name, which was frustrating. So I went in to the store to cancel the subscription as it was the last day to do so before I would get charged for next month. The place was empty, I imagine they have lost a lot of customers due to poor service and business practices. (Just a guess, after perusing some of the reviews) Was gaslighted by said employee - seems like she has had complaints made about her attitude before since she was trying to cover her tracks by playing the victim role. It was amusing at best, honey. Employees need a basic class in phone etiquette and perhaps a mental evaluation screening to weed out the crazies from being customer facing. Don't sign up for the monthly package because you will most surely regret it, as I have. It's not worth it for a spray tan. read more

When I came in to cancel, a blonde (gorgeous) employee asked why I was cancelling, but then proceeded to trash talk the company I was switching over to. Unprofessional and left a bad taste in my mouth. She made a bunch of accusations about uncleanliness, old bulbs in the beds, and even told me that their red light therapy beds aren't real red light but simply red-tinted bulbs. None of what she said came to be true at all. In fact, I much rather PREFER the new place I'm going to over PBT. If I ever questioned cancelling my membership, I definitely don't regret it now. I didn't appreciate the high school gossip thing she tried.. like using fear tactics to prevent me from cancelling. Totally unprofessional. Beware of PBTs stupid tanning "law" (AKA rule) about waiting a full 24 hours before you can tan. Upon signing up, it was explained to me that this was a tanning LAW. They used the word "law". If you tan at 3:59 one day, you cannot tan until 4:00 exactly or later the next day. You cannot tan at 3:55 or 3:58, you must wait. This is really stupid and inconvenient because traffic varies when I get off work. Come to find out that this is only THEIR rule, NOT a "law", and that other places allow one tan per calendar day as normal. I immediately terminated my membership here and opted for another salon instead. Oregon law is once per calendar day, but thanks for misleading me during my initial sign-up, PBT. read more

I've been going to this exact location for over a year now. I love every single person who's worked there! So friendly. Yes they push lotions and sales, but not in an overly obnoxious way. Love the beds, love the products, and love the people who work there. I've never had issues, or had trouble when I put my tanning on hold for the winter. Would recommend for sure. read more

I used to love tanning here, but here's why I canceled my membership after a year: Every time I come here, they try to sell me a lotion. In this economy I'm not spending $60+ on a lotion that I can get online for a fraction of the cost. I already have multiple lotions, and I'll take the risk of getting a "fake" one online if it means saving money. I understand that it's a part of the job to sell, but not to the point where I'm getting stressed out about coming here. I tan to relax, not hear a sales pitch. They literally guilt trip you into buying a lotion. I had to actually RUN out the door because they were shoving lotions on me as I was trying to get my keys out to leave. I would have given them one star, BUT they didn't keep charging me after I cancelled my membership, unlike a lot of other sketchy places. Also, I did get a good tan from the beds, but I didn't feel like the customer service I was getting equated to paying a pretty high monthly fee for my tan. Palm Beach Tan: lay off the sales quota based business model, and you'll have more loyal customers. read more

I use to tan religiously in the late 80's and 90's in your basic silver beds with the turn knobs and a basic fan sitting on a table or chair at the end of the bed. Back then the sessions were 20 minutes. So it's been forever since I tanned. This summer I wanted color, I tried the self mousse tanners ect and didn't like the color I turned. Believe me I tried lots of brands. So I looked on line at Tanning Salons and decided to give PBT a try. Bought the Platinum Pkg, $74.95 a month which I think is spendy. But the beds are way more advanced compared to what I use to tan in. The sessions don't exceed 12 minutes which I like, theirs built in fans, spray mist machine, but you know what I'm on my second month and I don't even come close to how dark I use to get in the old 80 90's Tanning beds. I've gone 3 days in a row and still haven't gotten that deep rich dark color I use to get. Infact I mix up the beds stand up gold bed one day lay down Platinum the next. I also paid $50 for a bottle of their lotion, which I'm not real thrilled about. I just don't think you get that deep down tan you use to get in the newer beds. I'm going to give it another month and try 5 days in a row and see what my color looks like. I feel I fade a lot quicker to if I take 2 days off. Little disappointed for the price. I also look at everybody thats in there tanning and I haven't seen one remotely really dark person. So I might try a new Tanning Salon after this month is over. But make sure I cancel by the 25th. Nice place, good looking beds, friendly but a little pushy with the sales employees. Just going to play it this month and see.But I do think the 24hr tanning rule is ridiculous. Plus the tanning tax, which is not the tanning salons fault. The Government always wanting a piece of the pie.... 10% Tan Tax is alot on a $75 month package. read more

I just moved here from California and needed a new tanning salon to join. I had driven by this place a couple of times so I thought I would go in and check it out. When I walked in, I was in awe! There are so many tanning beds available of all different levels and a cozy lounge area in the middle. The girl working at the front desk was SO nice to me and gave me a really great deal for the monthly tanning subscription! Now every time I go in to tan, no matter who is working the front desk, they treat me like a VIP customer. It is nice to have a place to go to to relax, have a great conversation with the employees, and get a nice tan after a stressful work day. The girl working didn't even know what beds were offered or the pricing for them, she literally had to google her own company's pricing because she didn't know them and couldn't get her computer to work, apparently the company doesn't believe in pamphlets or signs that show pricing for their customers. read more

Bought a month membership for around $50. Went twice, but then my doctor put me on some medication that wouldn't allow me to go tanning. Called 3 times to speak to a manager to get some of my money back and the girls at the front said they would give them my message and have them call me back later...guess what...no call. Checked my account recently and found out I got only $18 back...so apparently for cancelling due to medical reasons you get charged $16 a session? That's is just ridiculous. I think their business practices are fraudulent. They continued to charge my card even after I tried to cancel. You must go into the location to cancel, you can't cancel online or by phone. They then wanted me to pay more money even though I had only used the service once but had paid for several months. Any decent company would not continue to charge my card after I tried to cancel. read more

First, I signed up at the Griffith location and got great service, but because I was short for time, I did not tan there. Later that day, I went to the Scholls location, closest to my house. I let the girl know at the counter I hadn't been to this location. I had just signed up at another location, I hadn't tanned in years and was thinking I should start in a gold bed. She recommended 7 minutes. Upon checking in, she was obviously irritated that they had not set up a pin for me at the other location. She did not offer to give me a tour and did not show me how to use the bed. Panicking while naked because you cant find the power button is not fun because you know you cant just call someone in to show you! When I was done I asked about the Beauty Angel and she just pointed and said you can go look at it over there. I walked away thinking it was pretty bad experience, but what really did it for me is after recovering from my burn, I went in to the Griffith location and she told me, "Last time you did 10 minutes." I knew that felt longer than 7! I have experience tanning and had she tried to tell me 10, I would have corrected her. She told me 7 and put me in there for 10! Not cool! read more

While the facility is pretty nice, the employees generally are not. There are 2 girls (I wish I remembered their names) who are always pleasant. Most of the time when you walk in the door the girls that work there are just sitting on the couch on their phones and clearly not in a hurry to help you... let alone have a clean bed ready for you. I don't review places often, but tonight I hit my limit with this place. They had a new employee (she said it's her third day) working alone. I waited 40 minutes to be helped (not because the bed I wanted was in use; it wasn't.) because she was not able to figure out the best way to serve her line of customers and was getting more flustered by the minute. It took 20 minutes of me standing there (and there were at least 3 people who had been there longer than me) for her to even acknowlede all her waiting clients and when she did she said "thanks for waiting, we do close at 8 just so you know". I walked in at 7:25 and when I finally got set up in my bed at 8:05 and went to start it, it didnt start so i had to go back out and have her process it in the computer... I understand she is new so I don't put too much blame on her, though she obviously can't problem solve. It was an extremely poor and irresponsible decision of the management to place a brand new employee alone. GET IT TOGETHER! read more

I'm a member for starters... I just went to Yelp to call them this morning to see the earliest I could tan (24hr rule) and saw all the bad reviews? I was SHOCKED . I've loved this place from day 1! When I first moved in this area (from Eugene) I called numerous places nearby asking prices and questions. I've been tanning for years now and know quite a bit about the ins and outs of tanning and beds. This was the only place of the 3 or so I called that literally didn't try to make me feel like an idiot and nickel and dime me for everything!! Each place has similar beds but for prices and packages?? This place is AWESOME for getting everything for that one price. Diamond, Platinum, spray, red light, etc. My girlfriend goes to another tanning place I pay for any it's $10 more monthly and spray tans are $15 per extra!!!!! And so was adding Red light.. I've never been pushed on buying extra stuff.. But, I also have a strong personality and come with lotion. I've never ONCE came in or left frustrated... I wouldn't go anywhere else. In a month when my girl moves here. I will get her a package here also! read more

The girls that work here are so great! They're all very friendly and seem very knowledgable and always have a smile on their face. From my experience, they've never pressured me into purchasing their high end lotions. However, I did ask for a recommendation since I was upgrading to a Diamond bed for the month. I was shown a few options until I decided on one that fit my preference. But after I asked on the price I was a tad hesitant because I did already have multiple lotions at home and unfortunately they didn't have any single use packets for this particular lotion. But instead of pushing me to purchase the lotion and insisting that I would JUST LOVE IT, one of the associates offered to let me try her own bottle and if I loved my results I could purchase my own bottle. I was very impressed with this VERY GENUINE level of customer service and how she was willing to freely share a product she believed in, that I did end up purchasing the lotion. I've been tanning at this location for probably 3 years now. Ashley (the Manager) is fantastic. In fact, most all of the gals that I've met that work at this location are wonderful. They have ALWAYS treated me great and make me feel welcome every time I'm there. Once had a billing misunderstanding, I had tried to put my membership on hold to take a few months off. The Regional Manager totally took care of me and upgraded my account for the next month to cover my frustration at the billing error (which turned out to be partially my fault). I highly recommend this location to anyone in the area!!! read more
