Waited 25 minutes, never had order taken. We left and went elsewhere.

Seems a little out of the way, but once we got here, it had beautiful views of the lake and the service was excellent.

So happy we stopped here, the food was so good, dare I say the best food we've had in the area. We…read moreenjoyed their lunch and breakfast options. Service was also great! I recommend the biscuits and gravy with the garlic potatoes and the fried apples. Both sides were excellent. The smoked turkey in the Club sandwich was really good.

I had breakfast at Honey Butter's, had my laptop with me and worked while I was there. My waitress, Aliana, was wonderful. She was delightfully happy and very responsive. She made a great recommendation for my omelet (three cheese and add sausage) and had a smile on her face the entire time. You could hear her joy when interacting with the other customers as well. When I work at a restaurant like this I make sure I am not there at their busy time. I arrived around 9:30 am and left around 11 am. Aliana checked on me periodically and kept my coffee hot the entire time I was there. The food was also superb (with the exception of the biscuit). The omelet was hot, the combination of cheeses was great and the spinach was sautéed and distributed throughout my omelet. The potatoes here are wonderful. They are cooked in a butter garlic sauce that add to the flavor, but doesn't overwhelm. They are perfectly crispy on the outside and soft in the center. I just wish the biscuits were better. They always get hard after about 10 min with a stale consistency (but don't let this stop you from enjoying everything else!).

Okay, I'm rounding down on this location and our recent visit, but overall, I would say 3 1/2…read morestars. Let's begin with the positives: Our server was very nice, inattentive, and friendly. I do wish I remembered her name. The meals were as good as you would expect at a First Watch location. Now let me touch on the not-so-positive: For some unknown reason, the two over-medium eggs came out separate from all the other items and came to the table about 3-4 minutes later. I have no good reason why that would have happened. Although it did not happen to us - we saw folks after us wait 5 minutes or so before the greeter met them. It happened to two different sets of folks and yes the place was busy but not like that. Now something that is a way I look at places and their possible cleanliness. Since I can't see into the kitchen. What do I mean - the restrooms. My wife used the ladies' room and said it had issues. Yes, the toilets and all were clean-looking but she said it had dirt and dust that had been there for a while. She described it as someone only doing "quick surface cleaning." When she said this and as someone who prides themselves on my Yelp presence and went to the men's room. It wasn't like what she had seen in the ladies' room. But it had a ton of use that morning and no staff had touched it up. Lastly, and what makes me sad about my visit. How I was treated as I left and paid our bill. I (absolutely my fault) misread my check. I thought it was about $5 less than what the fella checking me out mentioned. I was absolutely polite when I was like "Oh I thought it was less." When in a disrespectful/slick tone the fella said "I don't make this stuff up." I was totally taken aback. I don't know who he thinks he was talking to. So with all this said - I will suggest this - there are plenty of great food places in the Williamsburg area and I am fairly sure I will not visit here again. Just too many little issues.

My wife and I were leaving town and decided to give First Watch a try before heading back home to…read moreMaryland. They're actually building one near where we live, so this was a good chance to check it out before it opens. The restaurant only serves breakfast and lunch, but it's a nice size with plenty of tables and even a bar area for seating. Once we were seated, our waitress greeted us warmly, explained a few menu highlights, and mentioned some popular items to try. We had just missed the early bird special, but it was nice to know they offer one. My wife ordered the Sausage Gravy over a Biscuit from the small plates menu. I went with the Maple Bacon Croissant Sandwich, which comes with million-dollar maple bacon, sausage, eggs, cheddar, apricot jam, and jalapeños. It was very good, though next time I'd skip the sausage and stick with just the bacon to let the flavors shine more. Overall, we're excited to see First Watch coming to our town, and when we're back in Williamsburg, we'll definitely stop in again.
