Which was great, then the wait begins for a waitress. 20 min go by nothing. 30 min goes by and the waitress finally came out and just got our drinks, another 20 min goes by and she finally got our food order. So we've already been here for almost an hour. Then another hour goes by and our food finally arrives. I ordered a salad the dressing was wrong, by boyfriend order a steak and cheese, was made wrong and was awfully dry to the point of you dreaming you were In the Sahara desert. And was answering them before I could finish asking them in full. She came back within seconds with answers to my question, which tells me that there is no way she went to the back and asked the chef anything. We stopped in for a late lunch. Our first time there. We were quickly greeted by our server and had our choice of seating since it was empty. The place is kinda cool- high ceilings and lots of light. Clean- except for the bathrooms which are in horrible condition. I had the pulled pork platter with fries. Both were cold and the pork was incredibility salty and I love salt! Tom had the fried shrimp and onion rings. Both cold, rings were clearly from the bottom of the bag as they were just broken pieces. Shrimp was ok after you got through the batter. We left almost as hungry as when we arrived and were $40 lighter. Won't be returning.. read more

It's a good bar atmosphere. The service was great. Everyone was friendly and timely with the food and checking in on the table. The menu is pretty simple but everything tasted good. Wife and I went back to give them a second chance and they would not let us set on the back deck with our dog. They said they would not let us because there was already another dog out there. Neat little gastropub in Quinton, VA. You can order drinks and food from your phone and they have a large outdoor area. Plenty to do with corn hole and televisions etc. We had some light fare and a couple beers. Service was really good. New place for us to go in this small town! read more

Wonderful place. I had to try their deviled eggs and crab dip and it didn't disappoint. My friends got the Mahi tacos, BLT and salmon with the grilled Brussel sprouts. Beautifully decorated inside and they have a large outdoor seating area too. Service was fast and friendly too. If you're around the New Kent area, this is a must try! Ordered potato skins as an appetizer only to find out after about 15 minutes that they were out of potato skins...also out of mozzerella sticks. Ok fine...onion rings will do. She brought it out and there was only 8 onion rings for $9.00. Okay, time to order. My daughter and I both wanted the steak and cheese sandwich. Oh, we are out of steak. Ok...fine, I will just have a chicken wrap. Oh, we are out of wraps! What? really?? Fine. My daughter ordered the French Dip and I got the club sandwich. My husband ordered the Colossal burger, and my daughters boyfriend ordered the chopped cheese sandwich. The French dip was mostly bread, not much meat at all. The meat was charred and didn't taste good, tasted burned. The chopped cheese sandwich was very small. The Colossal burger and BLT was supposed to have bacon...but they were out of bacon! This place is hidden gem. Definitely better than the star rating the star rating it's currently got. We went on a Wednesday night and we were sat immediately. The server was friendly and gave us honest feedback about the items on the menu we asked about. The atmosphere was laid back with simple decor, but the owners obviously know what are we doing. The food was outstanding. We got the deviled eggs as an appetizer and they were as good as homemade. For entrees we got the Cubano, the fried chicken and the fried shrimp. Portions we generous, especially considering the prices being really reasonable. The food was all fresh and flavorful. It appeared that everything we got with possible the exception of the bun for the cubano, was made in house. The fries were hand cut and can come tossed in truffle oil, which is great. An important thing to note is that the menu, ordering, and paying are done through a QR code on the table. We found it easy to use, but if you don't have a smart phone and plan to pay with cash, it may be a bit more complicated. read more

I used to love this place. I actually told my daughter's boyfriend as we were driving to New Kent it was worth the drive and it was in my top 10 restaurants in the Richmond area. What a let down! The pretzel was still great but the mozzarella "logs" were slightly fatter than a regular stick but the texture of the cheese was awful and so cold! Not worth $9 for three sticks. The cocktails were not what was described in the menu; mostly ice. My daughter's boyfriend ordered the mahi tacos which had a thin strip of fish which he said was cooked well but was smothered in pickled cabbage that overpowered the taco. The restaurant is out of Mozzarella Sticks, Wedge Salad, Fried Pickles, Pizza (Saw one ordered as I sat and really wanted it.), then apparently sour cream, and the kitchen tried to fool us with ranch on the nachos and we found out why when we sent them back and the second of our reorder came back very light on sour cream. Second time I have been here where the quality has just not been up to par it's unfortunate because I'm new to the area and thought this would be a go to spot and it's sad that it's fallen short. Ignore the 3 1/2 star average this was absolutely the best nine dollar mushroom Swiss burger I've ever had juicy flavorful perfectly cooked. And it was a half pound hand formed burger .
