This spot is one of three Himes Breakfast House locations in the Tampa area…read more We arrived later in the morning and were greeted and seated promptly. The server was quick to the table for drink orders and menus. Coffee is served in a large mug. Not a dainty diner cup. Not the best coffee blend... The breakfast and brunch selections were substantial but not overwhelming My wife had the build your own omelet with grits and toast. The omelet was loaded with bacon and feta as she ordered. The omelet was full and fluffy. And delicious. And the grits? Five stars. Yes, for grits. Smooth and blended. No lumps. My order of poached eggs and fried pork belly was excellent. Cooked to perfection, I also ordered a side of the grits instead of home fries. In all, the food and service were five stars and the positive reviews are all well deserved!

Then the home fries tasted like eating a salt brick. The waitress didn't come back to do a check after she got someone else to deliver the food. I couldn't get a glass of water. This place has just completely gone down hill. I recommend anyone wanting to substitute items in the omelette just do build your own and take the difference out of the tip. If this establishment wants to be this petty I'll tip accordingly. I'm super dissatisfied and disappointed in this place.

A Hidden Gem in Florida - The Grill at Morris Bridge!…read more While visiting some friends in Florida, they took me to a great little spot called The Grill at Morris Bridge, and I have to say, this place did not disappoint! It's a family-owned restaurant that's been around for about five years, and they've put together one heck of a menu with something for just about everyone. They offer a great selection of seafood, fresh fish, steaks, pasta dishes, homemade soups, salads, and pizzas. And since the owners have roots in Massachusetts, you'll notice a little New England influence throughout the menu. You'll find favorites like Rhode Island Calamari, New England Clam Chowder, and the Morris Bridge Salad, along with some interesting pizza names that anyone familiar with Massachusetts will recognize, like Route 140, Route 24, and The New Bedford! Being from Massachusetts myself, I thought that was a pretty cool touch! And let me tell you, everything on that menu sounded so good that it was hard to decide what to order. But the food I ended up getting was absolutely delicious and definitely worth coming back for! The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere, with plenty of seating, ample parking, and a really nice bar area. One thing that really caught my attention was their house-made barrel-aged cocktail mixes, featuring bourbon, whiskey, and tequila. They actually have their own little barrels behind the bar, which is a pretty unique touch! It's always nice finding a family-owned restaurant that serves great food, has a welcoming atmosphere, and offers something a little different from the usual chain restaurants. My overall impression? Great food, a great atmosphere, and definitely a place I'd visit again! So, whether you're a local or just visiting the Tampa area, I highly recommend checking out The Grill at Morris Bridge. It's definitely worth the drive, and you won't be disappointed!

Whether I'm sitting at the bar by myself or at a table, I always enjoy the food and the atmosphere. But that Sunday was even better because I was accompanied by my son. Our server, Danielke, was amazing! She was attentive, patient, and made sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. Of course, I had to get their mimosa. I mean, who doesn't have a mimosa on Sunday? My son went with the strawberry lemonade. He ordered the chicken and waffles, while I had the shrimp and grits. Let me tell you the shrimp was flavorful, with just the right amount of spice, and the sausage added even more flavor. And those grits? Just perfect! Creamy, delicious, and the perfect complement to the shrimp. It was the perfect Sunday brunch date, good food, great service, a wonderful atmosphere, and quality time with my son. Noble Crust, you did it again! I'll definitely be back.

I opted for a side Caesar (no croutons) + margarita pizza (gfree crust). The Caesar was good and the pizza was just okay...the crust was too crunchy for my liking. Though I used my hubby's marinara sauce to dip the bland and crunchy pizza crust into. The service could've been better. The bartenders were nice but seemed quite preoccupied with bar duties as well as a couple sitting next to me whom they knew making small talk while I patiently was waiting to order another Coke. Earlier, I had to ask for red pepper as well as Parmesan for my pizza. She appeared to go try and find it and then totally got sidetracked until I reminded her again. Then my drink was empty but no one asked me if I wanted a refill. I was disappointed they weren't better at anticipating the needs of the customers. As far as ambience, the music is on loud. There's a tv in the bar area (today it was playing espn). A couple of other side notes, I was shocked that when I ordered my soda...it was poured from a can. They also have prosecco on tap.

The café sits in an office park overlooking a small pond, and the setting is surprisingly peaceful. You order at the counter and the staff brings your meal right to your table, with outdoor seating available if you want to enjoy the view. The kitchen is semi‑open, so you can see the team preparing food, and it's obvious they take pride in what they do. Prices are very reasonable, and the quality makes every penny worth it. The staff was beyond friendly -- one young lady was cleaning tables and sweeping nonstop to keep the place spotless, even while the café was busy. I ordered my meal to go and still only waited about ten minutes. Between the excellent food, the warm service, and the inviting atmosphere, I highly recommend trying The Cracked Pepper Café. The only thing I regret is not taking a picture of my beautiful sandwich to share.

Many times I peruse an area looking for food spots and find…read morenew places and other times I look at an area dozens of times and google seems to hide some good spots from view. The Cracked Pepper Cafe is one where googled failed miserably. Established for many years, close to home, and a highly rated sandwich shop which has been hidden from my google view for years. Tsk. Tsk. I spotted the place due to a sidewalk sign once I was in an office park on another errand. Lo and behold, a promising sandwhich menu, a breakfast menu and a cozy little place with indoor and outdoor seating. Good vibes, a nice lakefront ambiance and New York flair. Plenty of parking, a short walk to the backside of the office building which are a few long one story structures if memory serves. I ordered to go, the Gabagool, an italian sammie and a Cuban with lettuce and tomato to try their wares. I also ordered an omelet, the Tombstone, for the wife. Now, for me, when an italian has mortadella and capicola (gabagool) in it, you are my kinda soulmate. All the right stuff and packed skyscraper high. All the fixins that come with it do not fit in the "sandwheech". Spoon them into your mouth as you eat or save for after. I was suspicious of the dressing because instead of italian it was roasted red pepper sauce, I got it on the side just in case. Loved the Gabagool, excellent flavor profile, meaty and a nice blend of textures. The sauce had me on the fence at first but found myself more attracted to it as I ate. The cuban for me was nothing special, the same issue I encounter most places. I prefer sliced pork to pork chunks. Pork chunks ruins the balance of ingredients for me, I feel like I am eating a pork sandwich dressed like a cuban. That's my take on it and there are thousands who would disagree. I just grew up with cuban sandwich perfection (hand sliced meats off a ham leg and pork leg) throughout my childhood. The omelet was excellent. It's now the wife's favorite place to get "Stuffed Eggs" as they call it. This place will be added to the rotation, likely twice a month at least. The one disappointment is I can not convince them to add Vickie's Jalapeño Chips. The carry the Vickies brand but not the top selling flavor, by far, I looked it up. Not sure what the issue is but my sandwiches are consumed sans chips. I guess that is their perogative. Ergo, I go chipless. But don't let that stop you, the food here is great! Come get ya some!

The music was pretty loud and kept cutting in and out, which took away a little from the overall atmosphere. The food was pretty good though! I don't think they have fryers, so the sandwiches are served with chips. The brussel sprouts were easily my favorite bite of the day. They were crispy and coated in just the right amount of honey. The veggie burrito was pretty good too, but I wish it had more sauce and flavor to really bring it all together. The staff was super friendly, which I always appreciate, but the service was a bit slow. Overall, I'd give the food a 4/5, but between the location, music, and slower service, the overall experience lands at a 3/5 for me.
