On May 1st, my new husband and I had our reception here. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the manager Josh took time out of his day to drive us to a wonderful spot on the course to get amazing pictures. We worked with Ruby when it came to setting up the venue and organizing everything and we couldn't have been more pleased. She was really sweet, helped with set up, and found some lovely extra things for us to use for decorating. Both my husband and I are quiet and shy, and we had wanted to have a quiet reception where we could kind of do our own thing. When we explained this to Ruby, she helped it happen. She and Josh would come and check in on us, to see if everything was going well, but mostly just let us do our own thing. Also, the food was amazing. From what I was told, the golf course cannot hold bigger receptions, but for anyone looking for a lovely spot with stunning views and amazing and friendly staff for a smaller reception, I cannot recommend Lakeridge enough. I was disappointed with our experience at Lakeridge Golf Course. The course itself has a lot of potential, but the conditions and customer service really took away from the day. (We golfed on 11/9/26) On the front nine, the sprinklers were running on what felt like nearly every hole. On Hole 8, the sprinkler was actually spraying the tee box while we were trying to hit, which made it seem like the course wasn't ready for play. On top of that, I would have to dodge/time the sprinkler as it spun around my ball before I could hit it again. To make matters worse, there were construction crews working inside bunkers while golfers were actively playing the course. It's understandable that maintenance needs to happen, but having crews in play during a round isn't the experience you'd expect on a nice course. At the turn, they were already out of hot dogs, which was disappointing for a busy golf course. The beverage service also left a lot to be desired. The cart attendants weren't very friendly, and one of my friends was standing about 10 feet away trying to get their attention but was completely ignored. They were more into the conversation they were having with each other than good customer service. We gave the cart girl another chance at redemption but she still couldn't figure out how to greet us with a smile. We played with a group that typically golfs here. When we complained about the cart girl, he mentioned she's usually like that... Overall, the course layout is enjoyable, but between the sprinklers, construction, lack of food, and poor customer service, the experience didn't live up to expectations. for starters, my partner & i golf nearly every weekend. lakeridge is absolutely our favorite course in Reno, it's gorgeous, the staff is friendly, etc. HOWEVER, our starter today was so unfriendly that it prompted me to leave a review. we pulled up to the first tee 2 minutes BEFORE our tee time & he made multiple rude comments... about being pissed we were "late", that he better be the reason we are late and not me, and then looked up & down my outfit and said "where's your clubs" (since i am a rider, of course appropriately dressed) and when i replied "i don't play" he raised his voice and replied, nearly demanded "where are your clubs" the duo we were teamed up with also mentioned to us how the starter made a comment to them about us being late, and how he was pissed. again, two minutes shy of our tee time. we frequent lakeridge A LOT. but left feeling unsure after today. thanks! read more

Drove out and played this local Reno couse when others were closed due to weather. Fun course that offers some challenges but is not difficult to play. Enjoyed all the natural surroundings making it more enjoyable to play. Conditions of the course were well-maintained with undulating fairways and moderate to fast greens. The signature par-3 15th hole was amazing and standing on the tee box was breathtaking. This should be a must play golf course when in town and the 19th hole was also friendly and attentive making the experience that much better. read more

This place is most definitely a hidden gem. There isn't one aspect of the experience that was lacking. The restaurant/bar serves great food and well made drinks. The pro shop had very friendly and helpful people. The "driving" range isn't your typical range. But still allows you to loosen up before the first tee. There is plenty of room to work on your chipping and putting with two practice greens. The star of the show is without a doubt,the golf course. A challenging and beautiful course. The 15th hole (island hole) is breathtaking! By far, the most beautiful hole I've played in the state. Bring your camera! I could play this course every day. We decided to golf here because they had an available tee time. The clubhouse and the atmosphere was really cute. It was like walking into a fairy garden. A lot of cobblestone and creeks running through the clubhouse, which was really cool. As far as the course goes, there was sand on the fairways and there was so much goose poop everywhere. A lot of rock, Chuck's, which wasn't the best. The holes were pretty hard, but it was still fun just because we were golfing. we went and played at a cheaper golf course the next day and they had a better kept greens and grass then the more expensive Lakeridge. read more

I can't comment about golf here but I've attended a number of events at this venue and I must say, they do a pretty nice job! I've attended awards ceremonies and weddings in the clubhouse. It's an intimate venue with friendly staff, lovely views from the windows and a fairly spacious area for dancing and seating. The building is a little dated, but I like vintage so it never phased me! They have a full bar too, which never hurts. Most recently I attended Fore the Love of Art benefiting Sierra Arts, which. Was a wonderful experience. It started by meeting at one of the tee boxes where they had lovely golf carts ready to roll in groups. I was in one with my two kiddos and it was plenty comfy. We also received snack boxes provided by the course and had access to wine and beer. From there we rolled on to four or five holes, each with unique entertainment and performances including improv by Good Luck Macbeth, Verbal Kint, Milton Merlos, and a wonderful dance troupe. We concluded back at the clubhouse and took off after having a beautiful early evening. Highly recommend! read more

Played here for the first time over the weekend! The course is gorgeous and staff was very nice. The golf carts have built in Bluetooth speakers which was super cool. It's a little pricier than other public courses in the area but definitely better kept. The driving range is a cage rather than a whole range, but it was adequate enough for a warm up. I will definitely be back this summer! read more

I don't golf, so why am I writing a review? Glad you asked. I recently attended a dinner here for a friend's birthday. Once a month they provide a special dining experience up on the 15th hole. This time it was Hawaiian Luau themed with drinks in pineapple shells and roasted suckling pig. Absolutely amazing. The site alone is worth 5 stars. The food was very good. The pre-dinner organization was a little confusing for newcomers, but we ended up getting to where we needed to go and were well taken care of once we got up to the 15th hole. Live music was provided throughout the evening and drinks were generous. I would do it again in a heartbeat - even just to sit and sip and look out over the Truckee Meadows. read more

I played LakeRidge yesterday. I had last played this course about 20 years ago. I remember not being impressed back then, but we were part of large group on a Reno golf trip, so I had no part in picking the courses. We started on the 10th tee, the back 9 (our front 9) was in decent shape. They were watering late morning and the fairways were soggy, which is never fun. Of course the 15th tee is amazing. When we made the turn and played across the street...that's when things took a turn for the worse. The course has been taken over with Canadian geese. Goose crap is all over the course and it's impossible to avoid. It's not a fun environment to play in. The back 9 (front 9) was just as soggy as the other side. It's not fun, when you hit a great drive and chunk the next shot because you're sitting on a soggy fairway. The greens were slow too, which was tough because we played Toiyabe (another Duncan managed course) two days prior and another course with extremely fast greens. The greens had a nice layer of "fur" to make it difficult to gauge the speeds. That's part of the game, so I shouldn't complain too much about that aspect of the course. There was a cart coming around for drinks early in our round, but after 5 holes we were told this was "last call," due to her shift was over and there was no one scheduled afterwards. We really could have used some beverages (even water) because it was so dang hot out there. One weird thing I noticed, there were no trash cans on the course. Not sure why this was, but our garbage just piled up in our cart throughout the day. It would have been nice to have a ball washer out there too. I'm aware some courses removed theirs do to COVID, but some have found their way back. Also, only irons on the range. That was a problem, as the day before, I had issues with my driver and I wanted to try to figure them out before our round. Staff was great throughout. No issues at the restaurant/bar, cart workers, starter or marshals. Just get the course into better shape! I'm sure it could be something special in the area if it's taken care of. I see what the management company has done with Toiyabe. Not sure why it can't be done at LakeRidge. fairway read more

Lakeridge is the crown Jewel of the Duncan Management courses. It is arguably the best course in Reno/Sparks. The front nine wind their way out through the flat land. There is water in play on about 1/2 of the holes. Accuracy is important as the from is not long (aside from two par 5s). This round I powered a wind-assisted drive 325 yds down the 8th fairway and knocked a shot stiff over the green on my second stroke. That hole is a round ended for most folks. On the back, things open up a bit. Still some well placed water hazards and some short par 4s. Way more elevation change on this side. And everyone loves losing a ball on the iconic 15th island green from elevated tee boxes (200-240 yds downhill). A challenging and beautiful course. A bit more expensive than other local options. And remember the greens break toward the casinos. read more

I had the pleasure of golfing here with a friend on our own due to a scheduling snafu with guests not arriving on time. This course is gorgeous and if you love furry little creatures littered throughout the grounds, you're in for a treat. Some of the cart paths are temporarily different thanks to our large amount of snow damage from the last year but it is all fairly well marked. From first check in to final beverage cart checkin, we experienced nothing by excellent customer service. Love this course just a hair better than Wolf Run. They are entirely different course. Lakeridge's fairways are lined with MANY large mature trees- which I know can be a challenge for some people. But I love them. It also has more creeks, ponds and a lake to contend with. Some days I have lost up to five balls- I should get little life jackets for the guys. Others days, like today, used the same pink guy all day. Yeah! I love how spread out the course is The front nine is played on both sides of Plumas and the back nine is on the west side of McCarran. The back is my favorite. You start working your way up hill ever so gently til you get to hole 15. Now at 4500 feet you hit to a green on a small island in a large lake, the ride for your life down the switch backs to put it in. Oh ya. I'm assuming you did make the green The geese and marmot population is pretty healthy there Nice proshop, driving range, putting and chipping area. They also offer lessons. If you are a gal I strongly suggest you ask for Lindsey- she get trying to swing with boobs in the way This summer the course is looking fabulous and green Duncan Golf Management is doing another great job read more

Let's just start off with I don't play golf and I was invited to play with some buddies for a bachelor party. Apparently golf is not a place to have a good time lol. We played in two groups one of three and one of four and on two occasions we were at the same hole and holy shit the staff and customers about lost their mind. We did not hold anyone up or push anyone and still the bitching continues. But I get this is people's bread and butter and there is no room for variation. By the 14th hole me and another buddy of our group just went to the bar. And let the others play so it wasn't a problem. Every employee and player age 60 plus had to come talk to us about some issue they had. Maybe I am just not part of this world and that cool. But from a review standpoint from my perspective I did not enjoy anything about this day. Except the bartender. Good dude. In closing if you live here and play here regularly I am sure it is fine. If you are trying out golf, with a group, or wanting to enjoy your golf experience for the first time. This is not the spot. read more

We had our daughter's Sweet 16 party at Lakeridge and it was WONDERFUL!!! Sandy took care of all our needs while being considerate of our budget. Having our event at Lakeridge with Sandy as our event coordinator took so much stress off me! The clubhouse was already tastefully decorated we didnt have much to add to make it the wonderland my daughter wanted. We had about 80+ guests and the room was more than adequate. The staff was friendly and helpful and all our guests enjoyed the evening...most of all it was a beautiful memory for our family to enjoy! Sandy made us feel like a part of the family and provided us with personalized service. We have had numerous events at their Wolf Run location and this was the first time holding an event at Lakeridge and also working with Sandy...and it was an AWESOME first impression. The course would have been great if they didn't over book the day we golfed. There was an instructor led tournament qualifying round with multiple groups in front of us. The gold came took so long that we had to leave after 9 holes and couldn't complete the round. Disappointing experience for sure. read more

Drove all the way across town to go here for the driving range and apparently it's shutdown. Staff outlined the website is updated & I explained I searched via yelp and they gave an attitude. Being a new Reno resident and 9 handicap, I take my golf and golf courses pretty serious. When I first moved to town I lived in south Reno, basically near no golf courses at least that I could play (see arrowhead) so I played a lot in Carson City, but also tried out Red Hawk and Wild Creek. Recently we moved, a block from Lakeridge. I can actually see 13 green/14 tee from my bathroom window. So one Sunday, I hit up the club house and grabbed a tee time with a random 3some. Lakeridge quickly became my new favorite course in Reno/sparks. Other local courses have a air of total snobbyness that even a well dressed, decent younger golfer such as myself just literally cannot stand. Lakeridge has NONE of this attitude. Not from the staff or the other players. I have literally met the nicest people at Lakeridge and I have played over 200 courses from Maine to Hawaii, and everywhere in between. Highlights- Great 18 hole championship course designed by Robert Trent Jones 3 tees per hole, playing as long as 6700 Amazing 15th hole island par 3 playing as much as 220 No attitude staff and players Great rates available on the PGA app Teeoff My only complaint is the size of the practice areas. The driving range can really only comfortably accommodate 15 players at a time MAX. On a Saturday or Sunday morning you're going to have to wait. I have. Multiple times. The practice putting green is good in size, but the chipping green is small. Like 3 cups small. Don't even think of skulling a chip if someone else around! Do yourself a huge favor and make a tee time at Lakeridge. Do it between 9-10 on any Sunday and you can play with me! read more

What a great golf course this was. There were a lot of challenging holes but the most difficult part were the greens. What looked like straight putts to me ended up being a complete misread. The greens were deceiving as it tended to break left and right. Either it looked straight or my eyes are bad. Could be both. Either way after a couple of holes I was able to read the green better. Knowing to expect some kind of break on the green definitely helped. The course is very well kept. The fairways were nice and green, the rough wasn't too rough and the greens were soft. They have a starter at the first hole who was nice and gave a description of the course. He didn't mention flag/hole location that day but after a couple holes I realized it was playing at C. Didn't see a marshall on the course. Reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is, the course allowed a couple of 5somes out there and it was a busy day. I could understand if it was a group of 5 that were actually hitting one and going. The groups of 5 that I saw would hit, then tee up another ball and hit again. Every hole from the 1st on I had to wait. It made for what seemed like a long round. The whole round ened up taking a little over 5 hours which isn't bad but it's just the waiting at each hole after finishing the one before became a little tiring. At the 10th there were 3 groups waiting The 15th hole is amazing. I saw all those pics that Donna S.posted and that helped me make up my mind on where to play golf. That hole made all the waiting worth it. Played from the green tees which made it a 220 par 3 according to the scorecard. After lasering it to get a more accurate read it ended up being about 211. Bogeyed. Just the views from this hole makes golfing at Lakeridge all worth it. Maybe I was in awe of the hole or maybe I just suck. Either way don't care because the 15th made me forget about it. Would definitely come back and play again. Maybe next time I will do better. read more

Lakeridge Golf Course is owned and operated by Duncan Golf Management. The Duncan group has done great things since taking over the ownership of Lakeridge Golf Course. The course is and has been in great condition. Lakeridge plays well for all skill levels and ages. My girlfriend Danielle and I have enjoyed our Duncan golf membership being able to play all Duncan's courses, Wolf Run, Dayton Valley, and especially Lakeridge. This course has some of the best views of Downtown Reno. The 15th island green hole is it's iconic hole. When playing the tips or yellow I can easily stick it close to the pin with my 4 iron. If you are looking to play a remember course while visiting Reno I highly recommend this course. I give it a 5 star rating! read more

My husband and I got married here back in October 2019. The venue was beautiful and was everything we asked for! Sandy helped us plan the remainder of our wedding and put it on the day of. She was SO helpful and attentive. When I had a question, it was always answered in a timely manner also did not matter the time of day. The management was amazing! We had a larger rehearsal dinner than we had originally planned and they totally made it happen. The food was AMAZING! Our guests/family rave about our wedding, this was the best one they have ever been to. If you are newly engaged and are looking for a venue, this is your place. The landscaping around the course is beautiful with a nice variety of trees, shrubs, wildflower environmental areas, lakes and streams. First the good. This course is beautiful, the good carts were comfortable, the lady who worked the cart, the guy who worked the pro shop and the guy who worked the bar were great and friendly. The reason for the 2 star: I have golfed many places. One of my favorite things to do is travel and golf. So I appreciate the rules they have to keep the greens clear and fun for everyone. When first arriving we called and said we had 6 people (3 adult 3 minors- the minors play golf on their local school teams) and this course only allows 1-4 per tee time so we called and asked if we booked 2 tea times next to each other at the end of the day so that we can play together and they stated no problem. When driving up to hole 1 an employee approached us stating we cannot do that and would have to play 4 and 2. We did not argue and just said ok. We understand we have minors so we were going to play best ball and if some one did happen to book the only 2 tee times after us let them play through. Around the second hole we have already seen 3 groups ahead of us and all 3 had 6-8 in their group playing (drinking and having a good time). Towards the end of the day around 730 we decide to go to hole 15 (the reason most book this place, the beautiful view island shot) that's same employee has been kind of following us, saw this and came up to us saying we cannot go and play that hole. We should have booked the correct tee time. Now I was a little upset because I have seen some groups leave their holes and go straight to this hole to finish up their day. He responded with a "well you should of booked the correct tee time, there are too many groups playing that hole" we like booking the later tee time so that we don't get in the way of people trying to play faster. As he is telling us a group drives by and tells him they are going to skip holes and doesn't say anything. Now we have had enough and we are going to this hole anyway. As we get to the hole we see 2 other groups show up not coming from hole 14. How do we know this we waited there just watching enjoying the view. We did not want to impede on anyones golf. We spoke to the other people and they were all so friendly but stated that no one has said anything to them about coming to this hole. Later a kid came running up stating that he was told he could not come to this hole as well. I'm not sure if this guy did not like kids or what but it seemed that was the only groups he talked to. Which is a shame cus the kid who came running up and my niece both play better golf then I do. I love the view but I will never come here again and I hope from reading this review u will think about coming here as well. I have gone with a group of buddies where I can see why they would treat us like this, but with this group being so respectful and happy to just golf it was terrible. Yesterday I played Lake Ridge golf course in Reno I paid $80 for a golf course that is definitely not worth $60 fairways are in horrible condition many wet spongy areas where there is obviously leaking water lines sprinklers or even valves The guy at in the pro shop was rude the facility the grounds itself is in horrible condition I played there 25 years ago and nothing has changed the greens are OK The restrooms are filthy toilet paper dispensers are broken i'm not repaired or replaced all I know I will give this golf course in this facility two stars at best if you're looking for $80 golf course don't go there very disappointed I will never play there again read more

The golf course is in very good shape. It would appear that Duncan Golf Management that runs this course, Wolf Run and several others is doing extremely well financially. They don't offer locals any good deals any more, other that $4-$5 off their $60-$70 rates. Since they have a monopoly on the golf courses open to the public in the Reno area, they have a captive audience. Wolf Run is the same. Great shape, but the greens are way too fast for the average golfer to make golf fun. Again little or no discounts for locals. Very sad read more

Great course and usually worth a five in my opinion. Check in guys we're great and the beverage cart girl was great. What we didn't appreciate was the marshal pushing us to speed up even though we were not holding anyone up. He dogged us for the last 7 or 8 holes. We were on a pace to finish in about 4 1/2 hours and he totally ruined our experience. I would understand if we were stacking up the foursomes behind us but this was not the case. If you are visiting Reno and planning to golf, then you must play here. The course is slightly more expensive $85/$70/$45 depending on morning/twilight/late than the other municipal courses in Reno, however Lakeridge is worth the price difference. Included in the green fees is the cart. The cart is one of the coolest I've ever seen, it includes: GPS locator for distance to the hole (though I often overshot the distance that was being displayed (might be due to the thin air); ball/club washer, and ICE CHEST with ice - perfect for keeping your brew cold. There is a lady that drives around selling snacks/beer along the way. The course itself is slightly advanced. Lots of water/bunkers. Greens are well-maintained. There are some super short Par 4's and super long Par 3's. Hole 15th is a beautiful, ball eater, island green with about 150 ft downhill elevation at 239 yards or so. This hole is their signature hole. The only negative about this facility was the driving range, which is not ideal as you hit uphill. Could not really test how the ball was flying. read more

I held a sorority event here with 78 women in attendance. The venue was spacious and clean, and was surrounded by windows which made for a perfect view. Sandy was very flexible with my needs for this event, and was reachable via text at any time. She made the planning and execution of this event a lot less stressful. During the event, the staff at the venue was super helpful. Jaylan did wonderful with helping with the set up inside the venue, and Andrew offered help with carrying everything I needed inside. Overall, the experience and the staff were amazing, and we will be holding our events here in the future. read more

I didn't golf here, but I did recently spend 2 separate Sunday afternoons in the restaurant/bar waiting for my husband to finish his round. The bartenders are super friendly. They made sure my drinks were refilled. The atmosphere is nice. They also have free wi-fi. The course looks beautiful. It's green with water features that attract gandering gaggles of geese. read more
