I was looking through my Photos that I have taken on my Walks, and saw this one from Christmas day at about noon.

Beautiful Views that really heal the soul. This one is from Christmas Day around noon.

Played our annual Golf tournament on the hills course, the conditions were great, the greens were rolling beautifully and our cart girl Susan was amazing. 48 players and she was smiling, helpful, pretty and friendly. She was amazing, making her rounds, I think we saw her 4 times, which i think is a record! Thank you!

Did not go golfing but I did go to a gala that was hosted here and we had a good time! The views are beautiful and the event room is nice. The food was provided by red hawk and it was very tasty. Only had one bartender working for what seemed to be about 75 people. Not sure if this was up to the events organizer or if this was red hawks decision but it was not enough. The line was backed up all night. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked. I would have an event here if I had a need.

Red Hawk Golf and Resort designed by Robert Trent Jones has two amazing custom courses which makes golfing very challenging and extremely rewarding. Lakes Course - First day of tournament play. A lot of hazards as the name implies. Only 5 holes without water, which make your playing experience quite unique unlike other golf courses. Hills Course - Second day of tournament play. Breathtaking views with ton of rolling hills makes this course very challenging. They even have a par 5 holes (10th) which is 700 yards from tee to green. Good thing it plays downhill allowing your ball to roll, roll, roll... Lol. With a ton of trees, water hazards and more than 100 bunkers, these two courses will challenge most golfers, requiring you to bring your "A" game. Good luck and have fun in Reno!

I arrived a little early and stopped at the bar by the pool for a cocktail. The service was very friendly, the bar was fully stocked, and my cocktail was perfect. I was even able to bring it out to the driving range and hit a few balls before my lesson. The course itself is absolutely beautiful. We were there for a late afternoon lesson around 4 or 5, so we got to watch the sun start to set over the course. The views were spectacular, and at one point we saw probably a dozen deer making their way across the different holes. It was such a beautiful setting. Donny the golf pro, was fantastic. I've taken other golf lessons, and this was easily one of the best I've had. He was knowledgeable, patient, and made the lesson both helpful and enjoyable. ArrowCreek is a private club, so you do need to be a member or visit as a guest. Membership is definitely on the higher end, otherwise I would love to join! For now, I'll happily come back for lessons whenever I can. Beautiful course, incredible views, great service, and an excellent golf experience. I can't wait to go back.

We really wanted this event to feel above and beyond, and they definitely delivered. The day of, the whole team was great, especially as our timeline shifted--they handled everything so smoothly. The synchronized meal delivery to each table was such a great touch. I highly recommend them for your next event!

I visited the Somersett Club as a guest of a community lecture. Very nice, intimate community…read morecenter, appropriate for a potluck we had and a couple of short lectures with visual aids. I like the concept of a community center where you can rent the center for family parties or larger parties and you don't have to get your own home messy (yay). Unfortunately they have poorly trained and inattentive lifeguards making for a very unsafe situation. My grandson who is 4 ran into an issue and was actively in trouble right in front of the lifeguard who never even noticed. His dad thankfully saw what was happening and was able to jump in and grab him. The lifeguard still had no idea what was going on and was staring into space. She had to be told what had happened. After the incident, I called and spoke to the manager of the club, Camille. She was cold, arrogant and completely without empathy. Certainly not the response I would have expected. We pay a lot in dues each month to use these facilities and at the very least should be safe. Bottom line, keep a sharp eye on your family and friends while at this pool because the lifeguards cannot be trusted to do their job.

Grounds keepers need some education on grooming the course. This could be a little gem of a course if the owners would just put some money into it and make it worth playing at. I have talked people who lose a dozen balls when they do nine holes, not because they don't hit it well but because they can't find it under the weeds!

With the…read moreright investment, there's a ton of upside--but I'm sure the price will rise as more people discover it. Just like we hadn't heard of it until recently, I imagine plenty of others are still unaware of the hidden gem tucked away here. At just $17 to walk (for those of us in the 52+ club), it was a fun, breezy round--just over an hour for us. That said, I could easily see it taking 1.5 to 2 hours depending on who you get behind. We walked right onto the first tee, but by the time we came off 9, there was a little backup--including a group of enthusiastic 8- to 10-year-olds just starting out. (Not that that's a bad thing--everyone's got to start somewhere, but bring snacks if you're behind them.) The greens were some of the slowest I've ever played, possibly slower than the fairways at Oakmont--but they were consistently slow and actually in decent shape. I told Tricia, "We have to be goldfish when we leave here"--as in, forget everything we just learned about putting speeds before heading back to Sierra Sage.

I played D'Andrea on a quick trip to Reno yesterday. Tale of two courses. Front vs back…read more.. The front nine was kind of boring. Every hole was lined with leveled plots of land, waiting for the economy to pick up and homes to be built. So it really felt incomplete and lacked character. The front side was a back and forth design, with holes going up the steep hills, and then coming back down. I thought it was a little redundant at times. Every uphill hole looked and played very similar to each other. The fairways were in good shape, the rough was very thick, and the greens were well guarded by bunkers. But the empty lots were honestly, a buzzkill. The back nine was a different story. The design was a lot more spread out, and nice new homes filled each and every plot. The back was very hilly as well, and also incorporated a lot more water. This side was very enjoyable, and had a "Vegas" feel to it. I'm going to give D'Andrea a 3.75 rating. I liked it, and thought it had potential to be really cool if they ever build some homes on the front nine.

**Extremely Disappointing Experience and Poor Management**…read more My husband and I golfed here on Saturday, 8/15. The course was in decent shape overall, but hole 7 was closed for construction, and golfers were still charged full price. Unfortunately, the biggest issue came after I accidentally left one of my favorite clubs, my chipping club, on hole 9. I realized it was missing about a week later and returned to the course to retrieve it. That's when I learned that an employee, Juan, had openly admitted to taking my club home. He eventually brought it back on Monday, 8/31. However, when I returned to pick it up on Thursday, 9/3, I was told by Juan that the club had been donated because it had been there for over three weeks. How does this make any sense? An employee had already taken my club home, and now I'm being told it was donated before I could retrieve it. Where was it donated? At this point, I have serious concerns about how lost property is handled at this course. I contacted the manager, Dan, who was initially very responsive and seemed willing to help resolve the situation. Unfortunately, after I followed up, he stopped responding altogether. The lack of communication and accountability was extremely disappointing, especially after giving management the opportunity to make things right. Mistakes happen, and I understand that lost items can be difficult to keep track of. However, having an employee take a customer's golf club home, followed by being told it was donated, is completely unacceptable. Golf clubs are expensive, and golfers should be able to trust that their belongings will be handled appropriately. What makes this even more frustrating is that management had the opportunity to address the situation professionally but failed to follow through. Between the experience with my club, the lack of communication, and being charged full price for a course with a hole closed for construction, this was an incredibly disappointing experience from start to finish. I will not be golfing here again. I had hoped management would take this seriously and make things right, but unfortunately, that never happened. As a golfer, I would be very concerned hearing this story about any course, and I hope management takes a closer look at how its staff handles lost property and customer concerns.
