    Driving range.

Fantastic experience playing here. The practice area has everything you need including a large putting green, chipping area, and driving range with only grass. The front 9 starts off with 3 fairly easy holes then the course gets tougher. The back 9 is the true gem because it climbs up into the hils starting on 10 then comes comes tumbling back down to the clubhouse staring at 15. Thank you for allowing public play on Mondays.

Such a great club. Food and golf course are both amazing. The staff treats you like family and they have a pool. Definitely a 5 star.

Tucked away in Tahoe Donner, this is a great place to hit a bucket of balls. I bet the course is…read moregreat to, but we just came for the driving range. I'm a real novice so please forever me if I get some of the lingo wrong. This was only my 3rd time to the driving range. Even though I'm new at this and only hit up the driving range on vacation I still find it fun. The ball dispenser is a little confusing. It says you can purchase balls with a credit card at the machine, but it didn't work for us or the other gentleman in front of us. If you go to the front desk of the club you can purchase a bucket if balls. If you are a member you get a hearty discount. For non members it's $12 for a small bucket and I believe $18 for the large bucket. The driving range is beautiful. You're surrounded by trees. The putting green has rubber tees built in. I saw some people step up on the green and bring their own tee. They have 2 levels to the range and this time and the last time we came we always found a spot next to each other. I look forward to returning and maybe I'll get my own bucket of balls instead of just sharing a large bucket.

Played in August; greens in really good shape. Rest of course ok......recommend the following to…read moremgt: 1. Put some $$ into bathroom maintenance, and general course signage. 2. Have the employees treat the customers with more helpful info about the course, tee recommendations, and info to make the experience better for $195 a round.

Old Greenwood Golf Club - More droppings in the cabin. They were everywhere, I've only included a couple of examples.

Our stay at Old Greenwood last summer was extremely disappointing and, frankly, unacceptable. We…read morehave been coming here for nearly a decade. Multiple cabins--including every one we were moved to--had active vermin infestations. There were mouse droppings throughout the kitchen and bedrooms, mice running across the living room floor, and visible entry points with nesting activity outside. This was clearly a widespread issue, not an isolated incident. What made this worse is that management acknowledged they were already aware of the problem but continued renting the cabins anyway. The entire week was incredibly stressful. We had to request daily visits just to check and replace traps and attempt to sanitize the space for our baby. Despite those efforts, we were still concerned about potential health impacts, especially after our infant became unwell following the stay. After our first night, we wanted to leave and find alternative accommodations, but were persuaded to stay with the promise of a future complimentary stay. Unfortunately, that offer turned out to be misleading. We paid for a 7-night summer stay in a 3-bedroom cabin, but when attempting to rebook, we were told the "complimentary stay" only applies to a limited, separate inventory with extremely restricted availability--primarily just a few days in April or May. This was never clearly disclosed at the time. The offer included undisclosed restrictions that made it effectively unusable for a comparable stay. While we were told to "book in advance for the best availability," we were explicitly informed as early as July 2025 that there was no availability for summer 2026, with only the possibility that something might open up. In addition, availability shown online does not reflect what is actually bookable through this separate "HOA inventory", which further adds to the lack of transparency. Communication since then has been dismissive and unhelpful, including being told we were "not listening." Overall, this experience cost our family valuable time and peace of mind. I would strongly caution others--especially families with young children--before booking here.

The course opened a couple weeks ago for the year. I love the course design layout (Jack Nicklaus…read moreI think) and the conditions are great. The greens however are running a little slow for my preference. The clubhouse and pro shop are very nice and the staff are friendly. The course is pretty pricy though, not sure if it's because of the surrounding Truckee Wealth effect? A couple recommendations, if you aren't allowing carts on the course yet, you shouldn't be charging full price and you should definitely let your customers know ahead of time so they can plan better. The push carts are pretty poor too, they are breaking down and something you would expect to find at a muni course. It's also the little things that one would expect when paying a premium price tag...for example why can't you supply a reusable metal water bottle for the round? Edgewood does this on the south shore and would be a good idea.
