Fun challenging course with a great atmosphere, Morgan and Ken are great! A little worried because the owners hired a consultant who doesn't seem to know golf and is trying to make it something it's not. So far the recommendations have been get rid of the dog pass and raise all the prices. Will need to reevaluate next year to see if I buy a membership here or somewhere else.

Family friendly and my favorite course to play!!

This course is absolutely beautiful and has some challenges. I love this course because the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The course is extremely well kept and and relaxing course. A total bang for your buck course. This course is also extremely family friendly. I will definitely be coming to this course over and over again.

I had an opportunity to play the Sunridge Golf course this past week. It is located in South Carson City Nevada. Green fees were very reasonable, and the pace of play was excellent. The course provides beautify views of the Eastern Sierra Nevada mountains. Lots of water and sand. Sunridge offers you a test of your golfing precision and strategery. There are several very elevated tee boxes along with 5 sets of tees to choose from ... helping to equalize play for various levels of ability. The staff was helpful and friendly.

My husband and I found this little gem while staying over the Thanksgiving weekend in South Lake Tahoe. We arrived around 1pm so we only did 9 holes but we had a lot of fun! Very pretty surroundings, not crowded and a good variety of challenges.Staff was friendly and helpful. Price was very reasonable. Bonus points: 1) We got nice discount on souvenir shirts 2) They are open year-round! We'll definitely be back!

Conditions were very poor, most green side bunkers were filled with water or mud or were grown over with grass. Greens were slow and bumpy.

Fun and challenging course. Not the same mosquito problem as a course a few miles away. Loved it and we will be back. A good value.

Not a single employee to be seen. Finally flagged someone down who asked where my key was. What key? Apparently after paying the prop was supposed to give me a key and I was supposed to just go pick out a cart. -No starter, so I just rolled up to the first hole and teed off at my tee time. -SLOOOOOOOOW pace. It took me over 5.5 hours to play 14 holes. At hole 12, I got tired of being stuck behind stacks of 3 and 4 somes and skipped past them until hole 15 and was still stuck behind a foursome, but at least they played quickly. The course was in great shape with great mix of forgiving and challenging holes. Seemed like there were a lot of par 3s though and one hole was under repair (10? 11?) so they turned it into kind of a janky par 3. Was just in town for a visit, but think i'll explore other courses instead next time I'm back.

I was worried based on some reviews and anecdotal stuff from friends. I was not only glad I played but altered my schedule so I could visit a second time. There were some areas under repair, but not to the extent it diminished my experience here. It was winter golf, after all. Tee Boxes: All were in good repair when I was there Fairways: There appeared to be mostly bermuda grass and all the fairways I actually hit from the tee boxes played fairly. Green: I found some of the greens to be challenging because they differed. Some were fast, some were slow. Hole placement was reasonable. No complaints. Bar: I can report that the staff ROCKED and the beer was delicious. Cart: Cart was clean and worked well. The cooler function was most excellent. Heh heh heh! Pro Shop: Great folks and they had a large selection of merch' that I succumbed to after my first round. Nice, affordable shirt to show off when I returned the next day. Driving range: What's to say? It's a driving range- ample room and buckets. Practice green: The practice green was covered with leaves and twigs so I couldn't really get in putting time...

The fairways and greens are perfectly manicured and cut, however an extremely tough rough condition awaits you- Should you miss the fairway even a couple of inches. There is no buffer from the fairway to the Rough! it immediately transitions to 4 to 6 inch thick and healthy grass. The ball literally disappears. The group I played with must've lost a few balls each-even though we knew the location where our ball ended up. I am a 12 handicap and had a tough time here. My drive were not all perfect today and I paid the price, even when my drive was to slightly rolled off the fairway. I will definitely play here again, but with a completely different strategy . I will simply take my lumps and punch the ball back into the fairway. Attempt to reach the green from this rough will end up poorly, except for very low handicappers and only the best ball striking golfers . Eagle Valley ... please reduce the 1st cut so the mediocre golfers like me. Can survive a golf round there!

There are many hazards your can't see from the tee box. If you're not careful, you may find a few during your round. Others have mentioned the pace of play here. We experienced this problem too, but we were part of a large group. The insanely slow group in front of us was our very own people. It would have been nice for someone to have been driving around, kicking them in the backside to urge them to speed up. It didn't help the beverage cart came by often enough to distract them during their round, LOL. The practice area was nice. The mats were a little worn, but there were tees and a bucket to clean your clubs. The chipping area was perfect. I come to the Reno area once a year to play a handful of courses. I would definitely want to play here again.

Not anyone's fault, the three groups ahead of us were all waiting. Never saw a Marshall, staff didn't put any effort into speeding up the pace of play. The staff was more concerned with the wedding they were hosting and allowing the wedding party to take pictures. Absolutely not the wedding parties fault. Got to the 18th hole at ~8:06pm. Marshall came flying by as we were on the tee box. We were friendly and waved and said hi. He didn't even acknowledge us and came in extremely rude telling us "stop playing, go return your cart it's 8pm". And drove straight past. Now look, I get it there's a cutoff but the club sells tee times out till 6pm for 18 holes and nothing I saw said a hard cutoff at 8pm. If the club doesn't enforce any kind of pace of play then are rude telling us to essentially get out without letting us play the last hole due to us being unable to play the round in a reasonable time then idk what to do. If you're going to play here I wouldn't book anything past 2:30pm because pace has been slow every time I've played here. For me, I won't be coming back again which is a real shame because I think the course is great. This isn't the only issue I've had with the club/staff but this is a long enough post.

I thought the lady running the front desk and acting as starter was very informative but firm. We were busy visiting with the strangers we were paired with and she had to prod us to tee off on #1. The driving range is grass and had big targets. There is nothing resembling a flat putt anywhere on the course. The greens were in great shape and challenging. It was a good thing they were not too fast. The rough is very lush and penal. There are deceiving visuals when teeing off on many holes. Lots of water around but not necessarily in play. The setting was serene and beautiful. Lots of wildlife. Lots of geese, an eagle or three, and a coyote even loped past us through the tee box. The biggest issue is that there is very little grass in the fairways. Which might have contributed to deceiving visuals because the green stuff was the rough and the scrabble was the fairway. They wanted us to use the 90 degree cart rule but why when there are no fairways? Our overall experience was good because the setting and the company. We just had to find some grass if we hit it in the fairway. We weren't mad that we played here. I would really like the course if there were actual fairways. It's a private club. So I don't know how many people will care about reading a review for a place…read morethey will never go to. But here goes anyway. The building and grounds are amazingly well cared for. In all honesty, I can't believe we have something this nice in Reno. The money that is needed to keep this place up is probably astounding. We were here for a charity event. A nice lay out of cheese for the wines that were being tasted was gorgeous. The lemon bar dessert item was so good. We decided to get something from the bar menu because....when will we ever get back here? We ordered up the sliders, stuffed onion ring, nachos, and tacos and four of us shared it all. I'd never even heard of stuffed onion rings. How is this only available at a private club? Why aren't other places doing this? Good idea. Maybe a bit bland, but to be fair this is a country club. All the food was good. But the best was a "passed" plate for the charity event. The turkey sandwich was just so tasty I was a bit disappointed I hadn't ordered it or at least waited for the passed plates to come out. I probably will be sneaking in here at some point in time in the future for a round of golf with a friend who is a member...so I will have no problem getting some food here before hand or after the round. Heck, the food came out so quick I might even be able to get something to eat at the turn.
