Found this nine hole course prior to coming out to Tahoe as we were looking for a great way to celebrate our one year marriage anniversary. This was the perfect course. I'm still very much learning the sport and this worked out great for me. They had a small area to practice putting to get some jitters out too. We rented a cart but were paired with a third that walked. He kept up pretty quickly so I'd say it's also a fairly easy course to walk. It was a misty day but the sun came out halfway through and it was absolutely stunning. We originally had an earlier tee time when the rain was coming down harder but the pro said to check back later because a round is not to be dismissed in the mist (he didn't say that verbatim but he was correct)! I had some really amazing holes and memorable shots. Lost a total of three balls after two rounds on two different days. We loved it so much, we came again with my brother in law. He enjoyed it as much as we did the first time. It was much warmer on the second day but still absolutely perfect and stunning. Breathtaking views at every hole. We also had lunch here and the food was delicious! I forgot my bag accidentally and came back the next day for it. They were very kind and attentive. read more

First time playing here and cool to know that it's one of the oldest courses in the area. Played after a 3 hour drive from SF and really nice to be in nature and relax with friends golfing. First tee right next to the restaurant so be prepared to not duff your first tee shot haha. Overall the course was beautiful. Loved everything about it. The par 3s were fun and good mix of uphill and downhill with scenic views. Take photos you wont regret it. Well maintained fairways and greens. Pretty slow greens and had to get acquainted. I also had to adjust to the elevation which after a day happened. The weather was perfect and sun was out so it made Old Brock the best time to play. The pace of play was good as well. Everyone was just out there having a good time and no drama. We finished the course in about 3 hours I would say. Before I left I got some souvenirs and checked this place off my bucket list. Will definitely come back again in my next trip next year! read more

Old Brockway Golf Course is a bit unassuming from the street but when you enter the course, you'll be amazed at how beautiful each hole. The staff are always a delight. Laine is always happy and cheerful to check you in for your T-time, and the staff at the pro-shop are friendly and helpful. I recently started getting lessons from their pro, Colin who is amazing. In 2 short lessons, I was able to contact the ball and golf a 4 in a par 3. He is patient, instructs in a way that is easy to understand and is very motivating. Horrible Course. Greens and fairways are in terrible condition. 80$ for 9 holes and a cart is miserable considered i have played many 30$ public courses with better conditions. One green was just cut as a pit in the fairway. Greens has patchy grass with bumpy holes and the tee boxes were not leveled. Employees were rude and seemed entitled. They treat the course like its Augusta nationals when in reality it is an overpriced piece of crap. read more

This course is an "18 hole" course but really it's a looped 9 hole, so you play the front 9 then play the same 9 holes again. Which is a bit of a negative in my book. But the staff were friendly enough I didn't get to try any of the food but it smelled great. The driving range was kind of weird though, since you had to walk across the 9/18 hole to get to it. Overall a good course but difficult for someone like me who is bad. read more

Old Brockway is perfect! I talked to Lane at Old Brockway, and actually learned that they had hickory clubs that we could rent, so my friend and I ended up renting two set of hickories, and had the time of our life playing 9 holes in a throw back fashion! We played in about ~1 hour and 30 minutes, lost 0 balls between the two of us, and had the time of our lives! Lane was awesome to talk to about the course, the clubs, and I cannot recommend going to check out Old Brockway enough. If you want to spend $300+ dollars for prime Lake Tahoe summer golf tee times at another course, I won't stop you, but if you want to have an awesome low key unique experience, go check out Old Brockway, try your hand with some Hickory Clubs, and have yourself a day! read more

Not sure about the previous review but my experience couldn't have been more different. The greens and fairways are in great shape, especially for spring. Everything is clearly cared for a staff that takes pride in the course. We were paired with another twosome and they said the course is in better shape than their courses in Florida. Fun 9-hole course! It's hardly what I would call a muni..... it's much nicer. Of course, that could be because it is set in the mountains and all the trees and wildflowers make it looks so enchanting. After holes 1 and 2 (which are pretty plain Jane)... the rest of the course is interesting with some elevation changes and character (imagine... dog legs, uphill, downhill, water.) I would not consider this an EASY course, but it's also not HARD. Holes 1 and 2 are easy... wide, open, flat... so definitely these are good starter holes to get you going and boost your confidence. And then holes 3-9 will challenge your ability to judge distance, club selection and execution, so good for seasoned golfers who need to practice their game without going a full 18 on a big course. We played this course twice during our stay and we all enjoyed it both times. The price was right... I think it was $35 pp for twilight. You could ride, walk or do a pull cart. It was hot so mom and I were in a cart. And I'm glad we did because there are some uphill/downhill areas that I wouldn't want her dragging her bag and I don't think I could drag both bags. Course is in really good condition.... good tee boxes and greens were not too beat up. I did fix a couple divots here and there that were not mine.... that's just basic golf etiquette. When we are back in the area, we will play again. read more

Had a great Golfing experience here. The course was not completely flawless. Some of the greens were less forgiving than others. The range could use a facelift. We've played Old Brockway as part of a Tahoe golf weekend multiple times. It's a fairly challenging 9 hole course with an excellent kitchen for pre or post round meals. Avid golfers can go around twice; us older folk can relax with a beer and a meal after nine. The holes visible along Highway 267 don't do this course justice-a left turn after hole #2 opens up into a series of forest lined holes including two par fives. Get to the course early to shoot the breeze in the pro shop with the owners-very nice people rightfully proud of their course. Altogether, playing Old Brockway is one of my absolutely favorite golfing experiences. Also, this was the site of the original Bing Crosby Pro Am for the historians out there. read more

I golf here every year while my family vacations at Lake Tahoe for the week of the 4th of July. We rent a house in Tahoe City and we drive all the way to Kings Beach to play this great family-owned 9 hole course every year. The course is in wonderful shape. The owner is a great guy who runs it with his family and lives on the course. It's a fair course. My golf game sucks but I enjoy my time and all 100+ swings I take. The rates are fair considering the location and the great shape of the course. I paid $105 today but that included $30 for a cart that I paid all of since I was riding solo. I look forward to playing here again next year! read more

Parking is decent, clubhouse and restaurant are charming. Starter was friendly and accommodating. The course was in beautiful shape and is very scenic. Big wide fairways, big trees. Well designed. Only 9 actual holes. Long, but enjoyable walk. Restaurant; receptionist/greeter was a kid with the personality of a sedated teenager with a distain for the work (owner's granddaughter?). My husband and I went to Old Brockway's driving range. We arrived at 6:20pm as we saw their website said they're open till 7pm. An employee came up to us (he said he was the owner) and told us they stopped giving buckets of balls for the day. There were at least 5-7 people actively hitting at the range. We asked why 40 mins before closing and he said they don't want people "sticking around." We were frustrated as we drove this far and purposefully timed this as we only intended to share a bucket of balls. Even the ball dispenser had a sign that read the machine stops giving balls 30 minutes before closing and it explicitly stated 6:30pm. But we couldn't get a basket as the "owner" was holding them. read more

Love this course! The holes are groomed well, the fairways are trimmed neatly, greens are smooth and everyone is friendly!! What more can you ask for? Walk or ride.. some holes have steep down slopes, so remember what comes down.. must come back up They have twilight pricing starting at 3p. If you're not in the mood to play.. you must have altitude sickness or something??? Then you can visit their driving range. So next time you visit and your not about PGA status, this lovely course is the place for you. read more

Absolutely GORGEOUS 9 hole golf course!! Family owned plus let me personally tell you that the folks here are friendly, warm and helpful. Our first visit was July 3rd we drove up to hit a bucket of balls and upon hitting Incline Village I remembered Kings Beach has their 4th of July Firework Celebration. It was extremely busy and jammed packed but the staff didn't miss a beat with exceptional service. The young man that greeted us in the parking lot showed us where to park then pointed to the Pro Shop - talk about service!! We were definitely in for a GREAT day!! Once inside we didn't know it that day but it was the brothers/owners that happily greeted us. They even said if we wanted to go out on the course we would pretty much have it to ourselves - on 4th of July weekend that's awesome but we would come back to take them up on that on another day. The driving range across the 9th hole tucked behind Safeway was shaded perfectly, lusciously green and just what the golf doctors order as we chipped, drove and pitched our Titleist down range - YEP PERFECT! We returned a few weeks later to be greeted by the same friendly, helpful owner (now we know) to play 9 holes. We came on a Friday after work and had the entire course to ourselves - MAGNIFICEINT, GORGEOUS views and WOW comes to mind with how peaceful and yet challenging this beautiful course is to play!! We enjoyed each new challenge the next hole gave us and then took the time to take in the views - very well maintained and manicured course. We will definitely be back!!
