When the technician left, the septic tank lids had not been properly secured. The screws were left sitting in the lids instead of being fastened, leaving the covers unsecured. As someone with children at home, I immediately recognized this as a serious safety hazard. I called the company as soon as I noticed the issue to make them aware. I explained that I had kids in the house and that the unsecured lids posed an immediate risk. The company had no problem promptly charging for the service, but when I called to report a serious safety issue they had created, I was told no one was available and that it would have to wait until the following morning. I found that response disappointing, especially considering the potential risk. Mistakes happen, and I understand that. What I have a harder time accepting is the lack of urgency when a customer reports a potentially dangerous situation. An unsecured septic tank isn't a minor inconvenience--it's a significant safety hazard, particularly for families with children. I hope the company uses this as an opportunity to improve both its safety procedures and its customer service. A business should stand behind its work and respond promptly when a safety issue is brought to its attention.

Final cost $26,000 (not including the engineering fees, town permits ect which totalled $32,000). Of course this happened unexpectedly. I hired Jimmy Super because he seemed like a good and reliable guy and his estimate came in the middle. In his estimate he stated "supply and install asphalt repair to driveway." He did not complete this portion of the contract. I had a driveway expert come in 9 MONTHS after the "asphalt" had not hardened. I have mounds of non-asphalt in my driveway. I did contact Jimmy back in October 2017 and he came by twice to fix the issue but did not resolve the issue. Driveway expert stated that non-asphalt was used and that is why is has not hardened. I emailed Jimmy Super asking him to pay to have the job done correctly but he has not responded and that is why I am writing this review. BEWARE of this contractor, he does not complete his jobs accordingly and was not very nice when I contacted him then his wife (secretary) back in October 2017. Please do not hire this person as he will not fulfill his contract duties. Here I am 9 months later with mounds of non-asphalt in my driveway. If Jimmy could not fulfill this part of the contract hiring someone else whom is an expert in this field would have been sufficient to fulfill his contract duties but he chose to do the job himself and failed miserably. I feel I should not be held liable to pay for this since I already paid for this to be completed. What I do not understand is this was a $26,000 job but yet this company will not pay $1,000/$2,000 to have my driveway fixed correctly.

The Man and I both grew up with public sewer, so this was a completely foreign concept to both of us. The one thing we knew, though, was that we had to have the system inspected so make sure it worked properly before we closed on the house. We didn't know who to call or where to look, but our real estate agent had heard good things about Classic Septic Inspections, so she gave them a call. Our inspector arrived promptly for the appointment and were able to do an inspection on our septic system in less than an hour. He did determine there was a problem, which the sellers would have to fix. Because they only do inspections, he didn't try to push any other unnecessary services on us. After the initial inspection of our tank, he didn't even try to push us to pay for the more expensive add-ons to the inspection (we didn't think they were necessary). Their pricing was on par with the other septic companies we called for quotes, so we felt very confident that we weren't being jerked around on price. The inspector who came out even gave us some tips on proper maintenance of our septic system since we were totally clueless. He answered our questions and made sure we understood what we could and couldn't put down the drain and how to spot problems should they arise. We got our inspection report in a timely manner detailing all of the things the inspector had told us. The entire process was painless and hassle-free.
