I stopped there today to pick up my dry cleaning and waited online the young girl which I'm told is the owner's daughter simply walked away from the counter when it was my turn and never returned. Another employee apologize and helped me right away. As far as the dry cleaning everything was done correctly, but customer service is equally important not sure I'll be back. read more

STAY AWAY.... We deeply regret ever giving this business our money. Frankly, we should have checked their Google reviews first. THEIR 3.8 RATING IS ABSOLUTELY DESERVED. . THIS COMPANY (Lakehurst Dry Cleaners, located in the Shoprite Plaza on Rt. 70 in Manchester, NJ) LOSES CUSTOMERS' CLOTHING REPEATEDLY and then takes zero responsibility for it, not even a simple apology. Instead, they insist, "You never brought that garment here," even when you know you did. That is completely unacceptable. . THEY HAVE LOST AT LEAST 10 ITEMS OF OURS OVER THE PAST YEAR, AND MOST RECENTLY, 3 SHIRTS AND 1 PAIR OF PANTS BELONGING TO MY HUSBAND. . They do not automatically give or even offer a claim ticket unless you specifically ask. So, when they lose your clothes, they conveniently claim they owe you nothing. THIS FEELS INTENTIONAL AND DECEPTIVE. . We trusted them and gave them far too many chances. Our Mistake...... . They also require payment in advance, or you will be charged more later. Once they already have your money, you have no leverage. . In our case, they took our payment AND THEN LOST OUR CLOTHES SEVERAL TIMES. We wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, but no longer. After so many losses, we are never going back, and neither should you. . We love supporting local businesses, but not this one. NEVER AGAIN. Pay now or pay more later--either way, you lose. Another major red flag we should not have ignored. WE HAVE SINCE THEN FOUND AN EXCELLENT DRY CLEANER WITH A FIVE-STAR RATING. TAKE YOUR CLOTHING TO HANKINS DRY CLEANERS. IT'S MUCH SAFER, AND THEY DO AN EXCELLENT JOB. HANKINS DRY CLEANERS 1900 Route 37 Manchester, NJ Tell them Lisa and Steve sent you... You won't get a break, but you will get GREAT SERVICE... read more

@ weeks ago i paid in full to have pants ready for work and still not tailored yet.... absolutely the worst service.

I took my comforter to get dry cleaned and pressed. It took it and was told three weeks to get it back. When I picked it up yesterday and brought it home, it was as wrinkled as when I brought it into the dry cleaners. read more

I purchased a formal dress and brought to Lakehurst Dry Cleaners for altering. The owner pinned the straps and the dress fit beautifully. A week later I picked up the dress and tried it on at home. I could barely get my arms in the armholes. They were like the size of a six year old! I took the dress back with hopes of the Taylor making the straps any amount larger. A few days later I went back to pick up the dress. The employee gave me the dress and the note on the tag stated 'nothing could be done to it'. The owner was not there. I sent a letter to the owner with a copy of my receipt requesting reimbursement for the dress. I heard nothing back. I went back to the store with the receipt and the owner said he now could 'fix the dress' that I also had taken elsewhere and they said it couldn't be fixed. I left the dress there AGAIN. Meanwhile I had purchased another dress and took it to another Taylor (on Mule Rd- EXCELLENT PLACE) When I told the owner of Lakehurst Dry Cleaners that he said "That's not my problem". Guess what? It is your problem. The dress was never altered properly and you pinned it!! I went back again with the receipt requesting reimbursement for that dress. To date the owner, Jimmy, has never acknowledged receipt with a phone call...NOTHING! I would not recommend this business. Their customer service with regard to this issue was terrible. Very disappointing and frustrating. read more

Are there any other Dry cleaners than this one? last time i used them clothes came back in the same condition I will probrably do it myself.

Just picked up my dry cleaning from the dry cleaners and paid cash for the 20% discount when I brought my clothes in. They did not mark paid on the receipt and unfortunately I did not look. The girl rung in it and took my money. Needless to say I had to pay again! They must have that scam down pat. I explained I paid and they would not even compromise and offer to split the difference and did not apologize for the mix up. Do not use them. When I told them they were getting a bad yelp review the girl said, " go ahead it doesn't make a difference anyway!" Apparently they do not care about the customer! I will never use them again. read more

2nd time they have lost my shirts the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. STAY AWAY NOT RELIABLE!!!!@!

Avoid this place if you want a carpet cleaned! Given a price of $70 when I stopped by to ask. Took rug in predicated on price quoted but told they would call me on price Incase different when guy came to pick it up(they send it out). I waited two weeks with no call so stopped back only to see my rug still there. Man measured my rug while I waited and told it was now going to be$90. Not happy but agreed. Said they would call when ready. Again no call for over 3weeks. Went back and now told it was done but cost is $110. Explained prior quotes and after a while man (dealt with same man every time) he agreed to $100. Since my rug was rolled and wrapped and I couldn't look at it, I just took it and left with a vowel to never return. Got it home and guess what. It was just as dirty as when I took it in! STAY AWAY, Connie Ohara, Whiting, nj So I went back to give them a chance to make it right and after three trips (was told owner would be back in 20minutes first time, then told when I returned that he would not be back for maybe an hour but that he would be in next day; returned next day and told it was his day off; and got him the third time when he promised to re-clean rug and that he would pick it up). That was 4 weeks ago. No truck, no returned calls, nothing. I repeat my first warning. STAY AWAY. They are not only bad cleaners but they lie too! read more

1st (and LAST) time using this cleaner. Dropped jacket off first thing Saturday morning, pre-paid, Went in Wednesday to pick it up, she tells me it's not due to be ready until Thursday. I said you had the item 4 and a half days and you haven't gotten to it? My ticket says ready Thursday by 5pm. Called Thursday morning, tells me itll be ready at 3pm. So why not just do everything same day, why does it neef to be there 5 days before its even started? Seriously? I noticed they have a full rack of ready Cop uniforms right there in the front. I'm sure Cop uniforms aren't 5 days to clean! Lakehurst Dry Cleaners totally antiquated...its 2017 not 1950! read more

Kidding me right? Who brings a Brand new shirt to a cleaners and it comes back with "stains on it and not ironed properly" and.... charges for it? Told them ....never coming here again....oh I can do it over again. No thanks! Too late. Needed shirt next day. You guys suck and you ruined it. Should have taking shirts to regular dry cleaner on route 9 in shop and stop shopping center. Tried the one near shop rite near us....Mistake! Close up your shop and try another business if you don't know what your doing and don't care. read more

Don't go here. The women that work there especially Kristina and Nicole and the owner are liars, rude and thieves. I went there to dry clean my coat and to repair it. When I went there they couldn't find my coat and when they did the owner said it was clean but it wasn't only that it was repaired and I had to wait for it to be cleaned. They didn't even tell me the price before the repair was done. After the repairs and cleaning were done they gave me one price and then when I went to pick it up they changed the price. read more

I brought a brand new duvet cover out of the packaging in just to be pressed. Woman at the counter said she didn't have a price to just press. I should have walked out but wanted to give them a try so I said to clean and press it. I paid cash in advance. When I picked it up a week later the duvet cover was a wrinkled mess! Maybe it had been washed or dry cleaned but it had not been ironed. The woman at the counter that day claimed to be the manager and said it was wrinkled because of the fabric. It was cotton and I had ironed the shams at home perfectly. I said if they could not press it I wanted my money back and I'd take it elsewhere. She responded "That's not how it's done." I asked to see the owner. He came over and told me to give him a few days. I'm about to go pick it up but I don't have any expectations that it will be properly pressed. I should have read the reviews. I'll never go there again if they were the last dry cleaner on the planet! read more

I called and asked prior to going how long to get a dressed hemmed. I was told a week. So bring the dress in on a Wednesday and needed for the following Thursday. The tailor himself was rude and nasty. He was pissed off and had an attitude that I only brought in the week before. I explained that I called and asked prior to coming. I had only bought the dress the day before dropping it off. Went the following Thursday they told me it wasn't done yet and they would call me when it was. I reminded them that I needed it to have it that day. 20 mins later I get a call its done. My fault I didn't try it on thinking it was actually hemmed. The next day put the dress on and it wasn't even hemmed. Still had to wear it way to long. Because of his incompetence I ended up tripping and falling. The next day I bring it back letting the owner know what happened. Well I guess he can hem it again. That really didn't help me the night before. Terrible service and attitudes! Do not use this place! read more

Should have read reviews before going! Heavy cotton Twin quilt & 2 small shams washed (not dry cleaned). Asked if I wanted it in one week, or two - I said two was fine as I wasn't in a hurry. Asked me size & I couldn't remember (my bad - I should've looked at tag) I thought it a full & was charged for a full ($35) & quoted $6 for the shams (my bad again - didn't look at receipt!) I paid cash for a small discount. Two weeks later I go to pick up & clerk with an 'attitude' said 'not ready, come back after 3pm' & walked to back of store. I'm thinking 'you couldn't get it washed in TWO weeks?', but said nothing. Returned to pick up at 3:20pm - Different clerk - I said was charged for full but tag clearly says twin - no reply or price change. I said quote for shams was $6 but r'ct says $9 - she says $4.50 ea. I opened bag to smell if nice & fresh - no noticeable difference. OK, this quilt was only used as a throw at Xmas, so really had no discernible scent BUT expected to smell 'clean/soapy'. NO further business from me - or friends! read more
