We came here on a weekday right after the lunch rush, and we were able to easily find parking in the ample parking lot provided by the restaurant. Inside is very modern and trendy with nice wall decorations and plenty of seats and chairs that are provided. On the menu for food, they serve many different flavor varieties of popcorn chicken and hot cheetos covered in cheese or fries. They also have wings, Carne asada fries, flaming hot elotes, and garlic noodles, plus many more items to choose from. For drinks, they specialize in mangonadas, slushies, split cup Boba milk teas, and shakes such as oreo, ube, and strawberry cheesecake to name a few. We went ahead and ordered the garlic noodles, hot cheeto fries, and butter garlic chicken bites. The wait time was fast, and we had little to no wait. The first thing I noticed was the huge portions for the fairly priced items. The garlic chicken was bursting with garlicy aroma and was packed into the container. The chicken was piping hot and full of flavor, with the flavor profile of garlic butter that was fried to perfection. The garlic noodles were cooked al dente and had a nice snap back when biting the noodles. They were beautifully garnished with parsley and parmesan cheese. The hot cheeto fries were immaculate with finely ground crumbs of cheetos covering the entirety of the nacho cheese sauce laying beneath the golden brown fries while. The cheese sauce was very silky and smooth and easy to eat while complimenting the entire dish. Overall, this was a great stop for a quick bite that fulfilled our hunger. The establishment was nice and clean, and the staff provided great customer service. I'm looking forward to come-back and trying something new and getting one of the special drinks in the upcoming days.

But even that is strange. You may order, for example, a shake or a fudge sundae or whatever. But you won't get it. The ice cream machine has not worked in months. One employee told me it has never worked in the time she has worked there. On my last visit, I ordered just two sodas. I stood there waiting. The order came up on the screen over the counter. Then it disappeared. I finally got the attention of someone who came over to the counter. I asked her where my drinks were. She said someone in the back said I had already gotten them. She apologized and got me my drinks, but that's just typical. If you ask for your meal to eat in and enter the number of the table marker, they will still put your meal in a bag and expect you to pick it up at the counter. This store severely needs some serious thinking about customer service. The remodel is nice, but everything went downhill.

Our server was impeccable, attentive, friendly, and made the entire experience that much better. The manager was also incredibly kind and took the time to tell me the backstory behind the name Opal's which I thought was such a special touch and made the restaurant feel even more personal. Between the atmosphere, fresh food, and exceptional service, this was an all-around great experience. I will definitely be back and highly recommend giving Opal's a try!

This is our second time spending our evening here and I do have some opinions on the food we chose this time: - First, you can never go wrong with their dozen oysters, very delicious and fresh! - The Clam linguini is a safe choice if you're not sure on what to get, especially if you substitute the clam for lobster. - The salmon was good, but isn't large enough to be considered yes a meal. - The wagyu burger definitely has size on its side and was decently made! - Unfortunately, the steak tartare was ok. We are usually huge fans of any kind of tartare, but this one tremendously lacked flavor and was covered in a sort of Parmesan cheese which took away from its appearance. Once you're able to see the steak itself, it wasn't the color you'd want to eat and came out almost purple. Although the food could have its upgrades, this place still is a decent place to have dinner with a nice atmosphere and good, genuine service!
