August 22, 2025 review ---- Picked up frappe mocha from this place around 3pm and it was good. Medium size came around 6 dollars. Indoor is really cute. They have lot of space to sit and enjoy your coffee. They also sell ice cream. Lot of cute earrings and home decor stuff. Good coffee and vibe was also great. read more

Friendly staff offering a wide variety of coffee, tea, and other adult bevvies to entertain in private nooks or reading corners, ice cream for the kiddos and local art for all ages. The first thing I'll say is that it's hard to beat their prices. The food is good for the price you pay and the staff is very friendly. I loved the real flowers out on the tables and they had bouquets for sale as well. Plenty of seating on two different levels. The couches are one of my favorite aspects of the ambience as it really lets you get comfy as you share a drink with a friend. Very happy with this place and have continued to come back year after year. read more

Very cute coffee shop inside a historical building. Parking was a little challenging. The space was charming and had little vendors amongst the bookshelves. The baristas were helpful and welcoming. I ordered a peppermint mocha to go. The cup was so Christmassy and cute! And the drink was a great balance of peppermint and chocolate. A great find while passing though! read more

It truly doesnt matter what you will order, it will be amazing!! The atmosphere is the sweetest. Whether you need a place to sit and work, which I do often, or a place for lunch.. there isnt a better shop in Hillsboro. The spinach artichoke grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup is seriously to die for. The fact that the workers learn your regular orders and serve you quickly is amazing. The owner is present with a joy filled smile on her face and she will make your visit even better. We love supporting small businesses and this one is truly worth every penny in every way. read more

The real deal. Really welcoming community spirit. Handsome environment. And the coffee is excellent, too.

The food and service were absolutely amazing!! This was my first visit to Hillsboro and Overflow coffee has to be the best in the world! :)

Let's start with service, very helpful and great smiles! quality coffee, I had the keto bowl which was fresh with salsa which was perfect. They even have awesome gear! Possibly the best part was the building and how they've revamped it. I did say possibly, as everything was top-notch! read more

Phenomenal service. The food is as if your best friend's mom cooked it. Stace and Scott are lovely people who care about their community and they find ways to give back through showcasing local art and entrepreneurs' products in their cafe, and deliver high quality food and service. read more

Overflow Coffee - Spilling Bee, Palmetto Grilled Cheese, and Tomato Basil Soup. Delicious! - Cafes Near Me - Hillsboro, Texas

I was driving back to DFW from Waco and instead of going to my normal spot I decided to try Overflow Coffee Co, partly because the name sounds great!! I walked in and was greeted with a big smile, this made for a great first impression. I picked out the meaty quiche, and a yogurt parfait, an oat milk cold brew latte, and a regular cold brew. As I was waiting I walked around and found this place extremely charming inside. The setup is absolutely beautiful with all kinds of cool, locally sourced nick knacks. From pottery to leather good to candles and chocolate, they even had knives for sale. If I wasn't in a hurry I would have probably bought something and will definitely be back to have a closer look. The parfait was really good! There weren't raisins in the granola which is always a plus in my book and it wasn't too sweet with the perfect amount of muddled blueberry at the bottom. The quiche was rich and a pretty big, thick slice and tasted okay, not as much meat as I expected but I did enjoy it. The cold brew coffee; however, did not meet my expectations. The oat milk latte was just cold brew and oat milk, nothing else and it did not taste good at all. I tried the regular cold brew and noticed that it had not been filtered very well (so much so that I could see black particles in the latte after the oat milk had been added) leaving an oddly high amount of residue at the bottom and causing both coffees to taste bitter. I wish I would have noticed before I had left so I could have ordered something different but I was already on the road. I don't think the coffee would have been as bad if they would run it through another filter before serving. I'd highly recommending going with something other than the cold brew, and be sure to specify the contents of a latte so you don't make the same mistake I did. I'm not mad about it and will be back to try other drinks and check out the shopping a little more. It's not a bad stop to make if you have to time and want to treat yourself. Best of luck, MLA read more

My all-time favorite coffee shop, every time I come here it's a treat! I love all the creative lattes, it's always so fun to try something new. My favorites so far have been the spilling bee and the Stanford. They're super yummy if you like your coffee sweet like me. It's also a great place to study with lots of room to spread out. The upstairs area is my favorite, especially the little book nook. Also, the drive thru is super convenient if I just want to pick something up quick while driving between college and home. This place is the best! read more

Good quaint place for coffee and great atmosphere can network there with Wi-Fi and quiet place

Driving through Hillsboro and was looking for coffee and brunch I could mobile order to be ready when we arrived. Didn't realize it would be so amazing! Easy to order online and everything was exactly correct. We ordered similar coffee orders to what we usually get at Starbucks and Overflow coffee was much better! White chocolate mocha and regular coffee with caramel and whip were both delicious. Had the pizza panini and chicken salad sandwiches. Best chicken salad I have ever eaten. Homemade kettle chips were so good as a side. Will be recommending to others and stopping anytime we drive through. read more

Really cool little coffee shop. Neat atmosphere, art displays for local crafts and artists, good coffee. Love the wood beams, old wooden doors, neat mezzanine level with offices. Very cool overall. Didn't try food, but looked like good choices. Accepted credit cards. Right on the courthouse square and the square is a neat looking area. read more

I visited by myself this time because I longed for one of their lattes. They come in the perfect cup for enjoying it to its fullest. I also had the spinach quiche and this time it had a hash brown crust so it was gluten free! This is such a quaint place located in historic downtown and more than a coffee shop. Sandwich plates with sides are served daily as well as soups and desserts. A unique place to visit with a friend or by yourself like I did on this visit. A good selection and variety on the menu. Indoor and outdoor seating. Art by local artists displayed for sale on the walls. Friendly staff and a favorite gathering spot. read more

Driving through the town and spotted this place was open. My kids were thirsty and I saw they offered smoothies as well as coffee. I love mixed berries, but I knew the kids would not like anything remotely close to seeds. The nice cashier said they could do the protein shake without the scoop of protein in it just for them! Peanut butter, chocolate and banana was delicious!! Will definitely be back! read more
