Even though they are often busy , everyone is always friendly, practicing teamwork and quickly turning tables. Restaurant is always clean and bright and always feels welcoming. My first visit was just for coffee and a slice of their coconut meringue pie, and honestly, that pie is the reason I came back. It is absolutely delicious. The second time I visited, they were in the middle of a busy breakfast rush. Crowded spaces aren't really my thing, so I grabbed my pie to go, and it was just as good at home. On my most recent visit, I ordered my usual coconut meringue pie along with the hamburger steak from the lunch menu. They were able to turn it into more of a breakfast meal for me with eggs, hash browns, biscuits and gravy, plus brown gravy for the hamburger steak. Everything was amazing. Definitely a nice spot for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. I recently learned they're also open later on certain days, so dinner will be next on my list. And yes, I'll probably still get the coconut meringue pie. I Think I'll order a whole pie for thanksgiving this year.

Let me start by saying, we have been to this restaurant and location before. Typically, the…read moreservice is okay, today it was terrible. Took a while for anyone to take our drink orders. I ordered ice tea, husband ordered coffee and orange juice. Throughout the meal, never offered refills for the coffee or tea and had to ask twice to get the coffee refilled. One bus person was told, and he literally just walked away and didnt even go near the coffee. Never returned, never looked our way and realized oh darn I forgot, nothing. Told the server once, she forgot, then when she passed, pointed to the coffee finally got some. Morning breakfast, I would think passing coffee would just be a norm. For food, I had the corned beef Bennie and it was good. Portions were okay. Husband had biscuits and gravy with eggs and hash browns, hash browns were burnt. Not very good. Overall, the food is good, the service is iffy. And I am not a prude, but honestly the attire they wear is a little off-putting. Short shorts, baggie shirts that are old and worn, and crochet vests. Holey jeans, short leggings. I don't know, not looking for a uniform, but maybe just a little bit cleaner and more presentable.

Thankfully, Yelp absolutely came through clutch (as it usually does) and led us to Our Breakfast Place. We intentionally tried to time things to beat the post-church crowd and I think we mostly succeeded... though there was still a little bit of a wait. Thankfully, this place is absolutely worth the wait! The restaurant was bustling and busy but still had a welcoming, comfortable atmosphere. The menu was extensive with tons of tempting breakfast options, the prices were very reasonable to me, and the service was excellent from start to finish. Our waitress was so kind and friendly and even the women seated nearby struck up conversation with us while we waited for our food. It just had that warm, community-oriented breakfast spot vibe. I ordered the blueberry lemon pancakes which were a seasonal special and wow, they were fantastic. Sweet but not overly so, fluffy, flavorful, and the combo also came with an egg and I chose two slices of bacon. All delicious and certainly plenty filling. The coffee was strong too, which I greatly appreciated. All in all, this was a five-star breakfast experience and the kind of local spot I love discovering while traveling. If I'm ever back in Waco, I'd happily return.

Thing fast service and Fred Flintstone size portions. Our Breakfast Place is a quintessential neighborhood breakfast place. Complete with numbers on the tables and servers in matching uniforms. The service is incredibly friendly and efficient. The food is stick to your ribs filling and tasty. The portion sizes are worthy of every Texas joke one can conjure up. Best of all, they make their own in-house Gluten Free pancakes and serve Arnold Palmer's with a carafe for at the table refills. I love this place!
