    Cheese plate, 2 flights
    Bridgette K.

Great for a relaxing afternoon. We stopped at a few wineries in Door County- this had the best location of the ones we saw. On a beautiful afternoon the cheese plate and flight were great at a sunny table overlooking the lake. They have a lot of space, so even though it wasn't busy, I'm sure they can accommodate a lot of groups.

Lovely place with nice outdoor seating and lake view! The back area was so tranquil to enjoy a glass of wine. We had a large group and kids and there were some yards games to entertain them. A variety of seating options.

Nice service. Great outdoor ambiance with lake views and plenty of space and seating. Nice indoor tasting area too. Most of the wine flavors were not to our liking, but we found two bottles that we liked enough to bring home with us. Check them out!

Very friendly staff. Helped explain the flavors of the wines. I like that the wine boards they can write the names on them. Think I liked Raspberry out of all of the ones I tried. They have a few snacks/appetizers to choose from. I got the simple pub mix to share. They have a variety of different settings in the back. You can choose to sit in the sun or in the shade. Great view of the lake.

On a fall trip to Door County, we stopped by Lake Fire Winery for a couple of flights of wine! Loved that you could choose any 4 of their wines regardless of types and including ciders. My bf isn't the biggest fan of wines but had a large selection of fruit wines and ciders to try! They were all good but our favorites were Strawberry Apple and Raspberry. Service was quick despite it being very busy. Loved the outdoor space, would've loved to come here when it was warmer!

This one is hard to put a score to. The workers are super friendly, everyone we met seemed happy to be there. The location is gorgeous. You wouldn't know from the storefront on the main street, but the back has lake views. There is an outdoor bar area and they have live music. They also have seating down by the lake. The issue we had, is that we did 2 tastings of different wines, and unfortunately we didn't like a single one. It would be great if they gave more detail on the wine selections, like what flavors are in them, rather than choosing blindly. We usually buy one bottle from a tasting but these just weren't anything our taste profile enjoyed. Too bad! I would probably give their cider a try just to see if I enjoyed that.

Came here during our vacation in Door County. It was awesome! Great wine menu. If you love sweet fruity wines, they have the perfect variety. They also offer seltzers. My uncle had a pumpkin spice seltzer which had a very distinct flavor- it was very good. The fruity wines we tried were the Door County cherry, blackberry, apple, and cranberry raspberry. Sooo good! I bought a bottle of their apple wine on the way out. Everyone loved the wine so much that each person left with a bottle. The inside is super cute and they have really nice and cozy outdoor seating- photos attached. The outside also has an absolutely beautiful view of Lake Michigan!! The service was great as well. We were a big group and they handled us just fine! Very friendly staff! I would for sure come back here and highly recommend if you're looking to visit a winery in Door County!

Small new wine bar open in Baileys Harbor with buy one get one free tastings and flights this month! Perfect excuse to give it a try. They have a wide range of wines to fit all palates. I prefer sweet wines and my dry wine loving family was also happy with their options. They have very limited food options so you can bring outside food in and they have games that you can borrow while you enjoy your wine. Would love to come again when we can sit outside and enjoy the view!

Very cute modern winery with a relaxing outdoor space. The flights were only $12 for 4 generous pours. Service was great as well. Their outdoor space is magnificent- you can sit outside, enjoying the view and listening to the waves. The wines themselves weren't really my taste, but everyone has a different preference. If you love delicate fruity wines or dessert wines, you will love the extensive selection. I love dry reds, so I went for the cabs, but they weren't robust enough for me- their 1871 is the closest to the wines I like, so if you're not into sweet wines, get yourself a glass of this one- it is a cab/merlot blend.

Even on a cold November day this tasting room was a treat. The gal behind the counter was as knowledgeable as most of the California wine servers I've encountered and extremely friendly. I chose a flight of 4 wines, all red, with the last being a port style wine. Now, wine tasting is so subjective so I won't give my opinion on the wine itself (I enjoyed them all) but the tasting room is very cozy and fun. Lots of places to sit and relax with friends and a huge outdoor area with plenty of activities. I overheard some other guests order a charcuterie board so there's some food options as well. If you find yourself in Bailey's Harbor, stop by and you're lucky you'll find their grounds keeper Peter keeping the backyard looking sharp. Strike up a conversation with him. He likes to talk about his favorite camping spot. And ask him about his EDC. Enjoy!

The ambience here is top notch. Flights are $12 for 4 generous glasses. I wasn't a huge fan of the wines I chose, but I LOVED the cherry spritzer. Lawn games for the kids too!

Great wine. Nice outside seating area. Fantastic service and wine tasting.

Great wine selection. Fantastic wine tasting. Nice outdoor seating overlooking the bay . Service was awesome

1871 was my favorite! Also, loved the Hibiscus and Lavendar as a sweet treat.

Location, atmosphere, outside areas are spectacular, comfortable, and contemporary. Welcoming, inviting, educational. I like dry, heavier wines so I gravitated to reds and 1871 was perfect! I also enjoyed the Hibiscus and Lavender white wines. Sweet, but enjoyable.

wine flight. great value for $12

Our party of 3 all had different wines, I had a Cabernet and it was one of the most delicious wines I've had in recent memory. I also tried a sparkling wine my wife was having and the essence of almond made it even better. In addition the setting outside was very relaxing. They have some oak casks in a display surrounded by flowers and grasses, so you are surrounded by nature along with music that enhances the atmosphere. Our server did a great job taking care of us. We were able to really enjoy the service and relax. We definitely will be returning on our next visit to Door County!

Don't come here if you're hopping from winery to winery (you will be sorely disappointed when faced with real wine). If you've never heard of vitis vinifera, this winery is NOT for you. It IS, however, for those who appreciate fine wines (as opposed to the alcoholic fruit beverages served at most Wisconsin wineries). Stone's Throw appears to be one of only three Wisconsin wineries producing truly fine wines (along with Blind Horse Winery in Kohler and Von Stiehl Winery in Algoma). Yes, the atmosphere is pretentious. But that pairs well with their fine Zinfandel. I was so impressed, I joined their wine club. Cheers! I will work on getting them to provide palate cleansing crackers and water with their tastings, but the lack thereof is a minor weakness.

This really surprised me, because it's a semi-sweet wine and I don't like sweet wines! But apparently I like this sweet wine. It had notes of honeysuckle and lemon, and it was served chilled. It would make a good little bottle to sip in the summer. Wine tastings are only $10 for 5 tastes! Whatta deal. They also sell wine by the glass, or by the bottle to go. You can sit at the bar, or take your drinks to one of the tables, or even the patio if the weather is nice. There are some kids' toys and games around, because this winery is kid-friendly, which is cool. In fact, while I was there, a couple came in with their toddler and enjoyed a wine tasting while their kid quietly played. It was nice to see that parents can enjoy a quick wine break even with a kid in tow. During the tasting, I got to learn a little about the winery. They have a vineyard behind the winery where they grow their own grapes. They also get grapes from around Wisconsin and Washington state. This is a little family-run business, and the owners are super friendly and very dedicated to their craft.

The Blue was tasty, and one other wine was acceptable, but the other wine offerings were downright bad. One even tasted and smelled like cleaning solution. Each glass had the same dusty smell to it, so I question the cleanliness of the establishment. Also, the seating area by the bar had decent music playing but the staff also had a television running at the same time, and this created a terrible cacophony. Thankfully, the staff muted the television when requested. Ordered some garlic cheese bread, too. The bread itself was flavorful, and well seasoned, but it was served with a small bowl of ice-cold marinara sauce. The hot food and cold sauce did not pair well together at all. Note on the staff: the kitchen staff were seated at the bar when I arrived, and I could hear their loud, curse-word laden conversations. That's not cool at all. Additionally, not a single staff member was personable; they seemed to barely tolerate my presence. Don't go here. There are many, many other better wineries nearby.
