After we terminated their service, they continued to attempt to charge us for the unhooked tanks that they were supposed remove. It took NEARLY A YEAR for them to remove the tanks. They never gave us credit back for the propane that was still in the tanks upon removal (nearly 70% full). NOW they are trying to charge us a $200 restocking fee!!! Are you kidding me??!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND SUBURBAN PROPANE TO MY WORST ENEMY! There are much better propane suppliers out there trust me.

I have two accounts with them at the same property, and they are now attempting to charge rental fees for three tanks without any prior agreement. When I called to address this issue, I was placed on hold for 44 minutes, only to speak with a representative who was rude, unhelpful, and unwilling to resolve anything. Too often, calls are routed to representatives who are difficult to understand, making an already frustrating experience worse. This has been, by far, the worst service I have ever experienced with any energy provider. To make matters worse, if you attempt to cancel, AmeriGas charges an additional $299 just to pick up their tanks. Beware--this company will find every possible way to charge you, with little regard for customer satisfaction.

I needed my tire changed after a minor accident on the NYS Thruway. We called the State Police --…read morethe officers said that our tire was flat and called Hart Towing to come change the tire. When the tow truck got there, the driver said that he couldn't change the tire because the spare was soft -- I felt the spare and it was not soft. He said he would have to tow us. We were westbound on the thruway just east of the Geneva exit. The driver said that he couldn't take us to a repair shop that was just off the thruway in Geneva. He had me drive my car onto his tow truck and my 2 sisters and I rode in my car on the tow truck to a shop that was several miles in the other direction. The workers at the shop changed the tire and told us that the spare tire was not soft. In other words, the driver could have changed the tire and we would have been on our way. Instead, he lied to us and had us ride in our car on the tow truck (which I was told later is illegal) while he did a u-turn and took us several miles in the wrong direction.
