The burritos have four main ingredients in Southern California. Meat, cheese, pico de gallo and guacamole. That's it! After living in Northern California for the past 5 years, I've recently come to the conclusion that I need to start to understand this rice and beans inside of my Carnitas burrito "travesty". What I've come up with is that there needs to be a balance of ingredients. Most taqueria s I've been to up here load their burritos with so much subpar rice and beans that even if their meat is tasty, there's so little of it inside the burrito that you don't even get to enjoy it. This has actually become an obsession of mine to the point that I've devised a process to judge/rate the taquerias in Northern California. 1) order a taco and test the meat and salsas. 2) if the meat has good flavors I order a burrito and hope they don't screw it up "the balance". Lol Deep sigh**** I could go on and on about this issue but this is my review for las Vargas taqueria that has an excellent balance of ingredients with great flavors. Don't expect a friendly smile smile (not that it doesn't happen) or employees walking around with pieces of "flare" ( I love the move Office Space) on their work uniforms or people to remember your name...They do Mexican food here and it's damn good!

I told him that all grocery stores in the are, even overpriced Safeway charges far less for a quart; $ 1.98 and al their products are price labelled. He snapped back: "Then go buy it there!" Thanks! I will! I'm done with you! I know "El de 2 Oros "for over 15 years and it used to have price labels on products and fairly reasonable prices. Not anymore! Since the Covid hysteria --which they still practice by running around in masks-- They no longer label anything and their prices have gone through the roof. Carpe Diem, greed is good? Milk & bilk? I once got slapped with almost $ 30.- charge for a few apples and oranges! So a couple of years ago I suggested to the store manager to do at least a price range labeling as it would give buyers a fair chance and decision and not get sucker punched once the cashier rung all up and then having to wait for an refund/exchange process. Nah, to much work... I'm done with them! As a consumer, a client and I have the right to know the price of items before and not "after the fact" purchase!

Most recently, we had a 10% off coupon that stated in large writing it expired in 7 days, only to be told there was a different expiration date hidden in much smaller print. We were only a few hours past the cutoff, and instead of offering any understanding or trying to help, the staff argued about it. Most companies with decent customer service would honor something like that. As someone with 15+ years in customer service, it's disappointing to see an establishment with so much potential fall so short in this area. The staff comes across as cold, monotone, and uninterested in helping customers. To make matters worse, there seems to be little to no manager or lead support available to assist with bigger issues. Unfortunately, the customer service here has been a zero every time I've visited.
