Plain Naan
Rochelle 'Shella' T.

This is a no frills restaurant that's meant to serve good food in a family-oriented setting. I love the spicy food that they serve. You have the option of ordering from the counter or through the self-serve kiosk. This is pretty convenient. My kids liked the lamb curry and the goat biryani. It went very well with the Naan. I appreciate their complementary chai. Especially since they serve it without sugar. So you can decide if you want it sans sugar or dictate how sweet you want it to be.

Chicken Biryani and 1 Piece Beef Lahori Seekh Kabab

Went for dinner service with a friend as they were just opening (around 5pm). You can either walk up and order with the attendant or self service order. This is a no-frills restaurant, they have plates and utensils you get yourself, and big sauce bottles you take to your table. They do have high chairs for the kiddos, and a prayer room. I did not check the restroom for cleanliness. As for the food, we had Chicken Biryani, beef shish kebab and onion naan. Everything was really good. If you don't know, Pakistani food has brings a pretty good amount of spice/heat in their dishes (which I love). I will definitely be back to try additional dishes. Price: $30

Lunch Combo (Chicken Kabab, Lentil curry, Chicken Curry)

Great Pakistani restaurant near downtown. Looks like they're set up for mostly takeout upon first look, but they have a decent space in here. Dining in was very pleasant though. There's complimentary milk tea for customers dining in, along with some really good sauces on the side. I got a lunch combo which came with a chicken kabob, curry chicken, a lentil curry, rice, and a naan. It was a colossal amount of food! The curry chicken is well spiced and the chicken is so tender. The kabob was also very solid, and really good with one of the sauces on the side (no idea what it was). My favorite is the naan here. Compared to other naan I've had this one is particularly light, almost like a pizza dough. Really pleasant chew and texture. Service was friendly and quick. I'd almost call this place a hidden gem since I didn't see a lot of traffic during the lunch hour, but regardless I recommend it wholeheartedly.

So so so glad we stopped into Lahori. From the outside doesn't look like much but this place packs a punch. Service was top notch, felt so welcome right from walking thru the door. Plenty of seating inside if you're in a large group you may have to combine tables. Now for the food....can I say authentic 10 times over! Every single bite was amazing I couldn't do much but sigh with pleasure. Parking is a roughy but worth the spin around the block.

Garlic Naan

Labori is a hole-in-the-wall on the outskirts DTSJ with street parking and a small lot in the back. Very affordable and everything is made to order! And it does take a bit of time depending on what you order. The tandoori chicken breast was perfectly charred, moist, and tender! My only complaint is that it could've been seasoned (salted) a tad bit more. I tried a piece of my friend's beef kebab and chickpea chana and both were good too! The chana is good with the naan and kebab was soft--almost melts in your mouth. The garlic naan wasn't garlicky enough and low-key dry. dry. It's a pretty big portion and they use turmeric to get the golden color.

One of my top 3 Pakistani food spots! They have a pretty solid menu and pricing is super reasonable. Parking is a little tough here but I've always managed to find a spot that isn't too far away. Guy at the front is always friendly. I always get their garlic naan and the butter chicken. The Tandoori Chicken is also good as well as the Lamb Chops. I don't even think you can go wrong with anything on the menu to be honest.

Chicken Lahori Chicken Tandoori Leg 5/5 and 1 Piece Chicken Seekh Kabab not juicy

This place has a long menu and its a hit or miss depending on what u decide to order. In $37, we tried: - 1 pc chicken tandoori leg $6 - 5/5 loved it. Juicy and perfectly char grilled :) will definitely order this again- hit - 1 lamb curry entree $13.50 - 4/5 good gravy n juicy pieces. Liked the flavors and it paired perfectly with naan and rice - hit - 1 chicken seekh kebab $5 - 1/5 dont order this. Not juicy. Too dry. Stale :( - miss - 1 fish tandoori $13 - 3/5 good portion size but no taste. Too bland. Skip it The spice level seemed mild for all dishes so its good if u cant handle spices. I like spicy, so next time i am going to specify to make it spicy

Anything he needed he got for us and was very nice! They also have a self service station which is convenient. Food quality: 5/10 I've had better indian food in the bay. The seekh kebab wrap was okay...I thought thr naan was a little too hard and the kebabs were slightly overdone and not moist. Chaat cafe has the best seekh kebab wrap I've ever had. Biryani tasted mostly like a pulao and the chicken was slightly underdone. The nehari was good, but it was on the oilier side and I've been more impressed with it at other indian resturants. The seekh kebab dish was also okay - but as with the wrap, it was overdone and not moist. Saag paneer was ok too - personally too oily for my liking. Side of naan tasted not fresh and got hard very quickly. Chai was very watered down and the sweet chutney was also very watered down. They also charge for raita which should be included with the biryani. Ambience 8/10 - just an average looking place nothing special. Overall, the place is just....ok. Just my honest opinion.

There was plenty of outdoor seating, and the service was speedy. You order on a kiosk, which makes for a streamlined ordering process. The food is always solid - I love all of their thali selections. This location was much more peaceful compared to the Palo Alto location. I stopped by on a Saturday evening, and there were only a couple tables that were occupied. I will say I feel like the portion sizes here are noticeably smaller than those at the Palo Alto location. This might be because all of the orders are packed to-go, so maybe there's less space for food? For instance, the thali from the Palo Alto location includes a side salad, which was not included in my order here. The other sides (pickled salad and daal lentil), along with the entree, were also significantly smaller here. The prices are the same, so I do think the Palo Alto dishes are more worth it.

It was fantastic: a crispy potato patty inside a soft bun with a spicy sauce. I went all out on the meat just by myself. I tried the Signature Chicken Tikka Roll (spicy), the Chicken Tikka (Bihari) leg, and the Chicken Gola Kebab. Everything was excellent. The gola kebab is melt-in-your-mouth soft. The roll was tasty, but pretty oily, so next time I will probably just go with naan. The Bihari chicken tikka was also unique, garlic-forward but delicious. The service was relatively quick. It's a small, no-frills place with a very basic setup--but honestly, the food is what truly matters here. We ordered chicken seekh kabab, chicken tandoori, chicken kadhai, along with garlic naan and butter rotis. The chicken seekh kababs were juicy, but they had a very strong and slightly off-putting turmeric flavor. It felt like there was a bit too much turmeric, which overpowered the other spices and slightly ruined the overall taste for me. However, the chicken tandoori completely made up for it. It was juicy, spicy, and perfectly charred--exactly how a good tandoori should be. The highlight for me was the chicken kadhai. Usually, I find chicken kadhai to be too tomato-heavy and overly tangy for my liking, but this one was perfectly balanced. The flavors were rich without being overpowering, and paired with the soft garlic naan and fresh tandoori roti, it was an absolute delight. Overall, we enjoyed our visit. Despite the simple ambience, the quality of the food shines through. We'll definitely be going back to try more dishes from the menu.
