The photo itself tells everything I believe. Do not recommend to anyone

I ordered haka noodles and the taste was super bad it tasted stale and the carrots in it felt like it was the peels which you throw it away before eating. Very disappointing and I have to throw away all that I paid for . I talked to the owner he said he can replace it with something else but honestly the food smells bad I don't even want the replacement for it . Pls do not go if you want to get sick . And who puts cilantro and curry leaves in haka noodles really. Very badly made the whole food looks as if made of leftover peels from all the veggies.

First of all when you go in here, the smell of the food smells GREAT!!! Food: 5 stars Service: 5 stars Ambience: hole in the wall, but who cares when the food is divine! But fun thing is they have videos of Bollywood dances in the background, and that's very cool. Husband ate: Gongura Chicken Biriyani (currently - not on the Door Dash app but on the Uber Eats app) He loved it. Thought it was one of the best biriyanis he's ever had, also comes with a 1/2 hard boiled egg, which I ate. Husband is a Brit who loves Indian food. I ordered: Cashew Paneer Masala (on the Door Dash app, currently not on the Uber Eats app) That was amazing & perfect. Spice level for me: medium low, which was perfect for me. Both of us: Ghee Roast Dosa (on both Uber Eats & Doordash), crispy, super large, light dosa, super delicious on it's own, and they give you some dips that it also tastes amazing with it as well. We did both! Delicious! Malabar Paratha (both Uber Eats & Doordash list this), handmade delicious parathas! Delicious Mango Lassi - delicious, fresh, creamy, possibly the best mango lassis we've ever had. Can tell it's not from pre-made. You can hear the chef using the blender in the back. Worth it. Great Indian food. We will be back. I took just a few pix but it's not the entire meal.

Biryani and Beyond is 10/10 and you should definitely stop in. We went in the evening during the week, and it was practically empty, which I found surprising because the food is fantastic and the service is exceptional. The staff was so helpful in explaining menu items thoroughly, answering any questions we had. It was maybe 10 minutes from order to table, we had delectable Marsala chai while we waited, and the atmosphere was welcoming and warm.

Great quality food and great service. The biryani got too spicy for me even at mild so they don't mess around here. The dosas, samosas, mango chicken curry, and masala fries were all great. Lots of seating inside so it's a great spot to stop in and eat at if you are walking around the area.

The food was great the service was phenomenal! If you're in down town San Jose I recommend this spot! Had the chicken tika masala and the gobi machurion! Also try the lassi

The Philly while it looks unassuming was actually quite good and the bread was soft and perfectly moist, dipping the sandwich in the aju make the sandwich even better "I'd definitely order this sandwich again 4 stars. To drink I had all I could drink ice tea with fresh lemon, the flavor was a little on the lighter side but still good 3 stars. For dessert I had apple pie ala mode. The pie was perfectly warm, super tasty and paired well with the ice cream, "of course" 4.5 stars. Our waiter had a memory like a steel trap, he got all our orders right, his attention to detail was outstanding and so was his service 5++ stars. Overall with the ambience, food and service, I solid think 3 stars is fair. I'll definitely be back to try their shakes with another Philly cheesesteak.

We had the seafood gumbo, not too spicy, but spicy enough and it was good with big portions of seafood and sausage with a scoop of rice over it. Ordering was easy we scanned a barcode put in our order and got our food within 10 minutes. Great customer service very clean and while we were eating, we could see that the employees put a lot of care into cleaning the tables and seats. Plenty of parking in back very spacious. They have overhead fans, but no need to turn them on because the restaurant was cool and airy not stuffy or hot. The waiters or servers always checked up on us to make sure that we were OK and if we needed anything else. This restaurant knows what they're doing! Added to one of my fav spots!

A local favorite that perhaps has Greek origins. We have been coming here (usually for breakfast)…read morefor over 10 years now. This time it was around noon, so my wife had the mini version of the Mexicano omelette, and I had the American burger with a grilled jalapeño on the side in addition to the french fries and avgolemono soup. My cup of soup came first and I enjoyed it. It was creamy and had chicken breast and rice in it along with a nice lemony tang. My wife enjoyed her omelette, even eating her hashbrowns, which I was surprised to see. Usually, she leaves them for me. She must've been hungry! The hamburger is a half pound of ground Angus beef before cooking and comes with lettuce and tomato and in my case cheddar cheese instead of American. That grilled jalapeño was an extra charge, but that was fine. It came on the side (as does a good dill pickle) and I took occasional bites from it to enjoy the heat On a Saturday as you might expect there was a bit of a weight but not more than 10 or 12 minutes I would say. Their own parking lot can fill quickly, but they have additional spaces available in the parking lot immediately adjacent, but be sure to follow the markings on the sign that indicate where you can park for their restaurant. Very down to earth diner with outdoor seating and a full bar Looking forward to the next time we're in the mood to stop on in!

Stopped into Bill's Café on The Alameda late Thursday morning after a long night of rehearsal,…read moreabsolutely in need of a quick recovery and something comforting to bring me back to life. As always, this place knows how to take care of people. Yadira was our server and she was incredible--warm, attentive, and genuinely kind in that effortless way that makes you feel like you're in good hands from the moment you sit down. The service here has always been great, but she really stood out. The Bloody Mary was perfection: bold, spicy, and exactly the kind of "reset button" I was hoping for. And the tortilla soup? Absolutely phenomenal. Rich, soothing, and deeply satisfying--one of those dishes that makes you pause mid-bite because it's just that good. I came in excited for the Monte Cristo I've loved here for years, the one I've recommended to friends like it's a sacred personal discovery. When I learned it's no longer on the menu... my heart genuinely sank. It was iconic. It was beloved. It was the thing I looked forward to. Bill's, if you're listening: please bring the Monte Cristo back. Some of us are still grieving. Even with that heartbreak, everything else--from the food to the drinks to Yadira's amazing service--reminded me why this place is such a staple. Still one of the best spots in San Jose to recover, refuel, and feel taken care of.

When we were seated, we were given a list of items that were not available. I originally wanted to try the pancakes but ended up ordering the chicken sandwich instead. This was genuinely one of the worst chicken sandwiches I have ever had. It was extremely gristly, fatty, and made with dark meat, which felt like an odd choice for a chicken sandwich. I'm not sure why this cut of chicken was used. The fries were alright, but they did not come with the sandwich and cost an additional $5. Our total came to almost $90 for three entrees with no beverages. I was especially frustrated because my sandwich was inedible. For the price and quality, I will not be returning and would not recommend this place.
