The pedicure was okay. The polish has ripples in it on my big toes which does not look nice. I got a full set and gel polish. The manicure was HORRIBLE. The lady half painted some nails, left glue and paint on my hands, cut my thumb, the nails are uneven, didn't do the design I asked for, there is still dust and bumps on the nails. The lady kept getting up and walking away to do random things so the nail appointment took an hour and a half. Did not listen and was not helpful. I called and am going to a refund. do not recommend. Update: went to go get a refund and was argued with for 15 minutes and told I wouldn't get a refund. The entire experience was horrible. This is the worst nail salon around. DO NOT GO HERE. I loved this place, up until my pedicure on Sunday. I had no symptoms of an ingrown toe nail (no pain, no redness, no swelling). I was enjoying my pedicure until the tech decided to cut/remove a chunk of my nail from my big toe. Never asked before hand. Just cut, and pulled it hard causing me to flinch and audibly react. They kept forcing me to get gel nail polish, asking For me to use the atm they have in the back and give me attitude about deciding the color I wanted on my nails. I have gone here many years for pedicures in the summer and fall. Always had a good experience but yesterday I was out and thought I'd stop to see if they had anything open for a pedicure. Of course I didn't have an appointment but non the less they could have just told me to come back. The man that greets you looked at me and was VERY irritated and said fine then went to continue to work on the customer he was with , but not with complaining to the customer he was working on. He was talking about me to her and I could hear the entire conversation! The customer asking if I was a regular? I stayed and had the quickest most humiliating pedicure of the life. My sister and I both went to have pedicures. We had the $35 massage pedicure that was a little nicer then the $25 express pedicure. For just the hot stone massage I would have paid the extra $10! Totally worth it if you have the time Both of the ladies that did our nails were very nice. Chatty, but not too much. They both took their time and did a great job. Laguna itself is very nice. Racine has a lot of crappy nail places, but Laguna was very nice and clean. A little more upscale then some other places. read more

Made an appointment and I was super excited to get a full acrylic set but I ended up walking out. I had a picture of exactly what I was wanting, fall tones. I had a hard time finding the correct colors because the color swatches were so unorganized and they were so close to the floor that I found myself kneeling on the ground trying to find the correct ones. They had a bunch of 03's, 04's 05's...I didn't realize that until I was told I needed to grab the polish as well. With all the years of getting my nails done, I was always told I am to pick the color number from the swatch and they would grab the polish for me. The receptionist and the nail tech were super rude to me and made me feel like they didn't have time to do my nails. I felt extremely rushed and this place is so dirty. The tech was about to put my hands down on a towel with nail polish and nail dust on it from the previous customer!!! They need to organize their colors more, be more friendly to customers, have more of a sanitary environment and refresh their crusty nail polishes! read more

this is not my first disappointment with this place. my daughter came in a month ago to get her first pedicure because she doesn't like her feet (In growns etc). the younger gentleman that took care of her made Her think he was making fun, laughing, telling her he fixed in grown toenails etc. she felt very uncomfortable. Worst experience that I've ever had within 3 days my full set was cracked and chipped off along with the shellac that bubbled and chipped as well. Nails were so painful I had to get them taken off while out of state! Then while calling to see what I could have done about it and if I could have a refund I was told that I was wrong and that the person that did it had never gotten any complains so I could not get my money back even after sending them pictures of the nightmare nails. Love Laguna! My mom goes much more regularly than I, but this is the only place in town I patronize. This is an upscale spa with great staff. One problem is that on really busy days, it's REALLY BUSY, but I have never felt rushed. I usually get the spa mani/pedi with hot stones and mask for my feet. Love it. Love them. I have been here a few times in the past couple years for weddings etc. and always had a great experience. Today was not exception. My tech Leisa did an amazing job on my gel pedicure. She really took her time and made sure my nails were on point. She also gave a great massage and was really nice. In addition to the great service the place is clean and kept up well. You can tell they take care of the equipment and hire staff that know what they are doing. The prices are in point with the service too. I have visited Laguna Nails a few times, and recently had my best experience yet. I"m from Racine, and my parents still live there, so I will pop in if it's convenient on my way out of town. I highly recommend Ashley. She was pleasant, friendly, and best of all--had great attention to detail! My nails look great, and for the first time I have an OPI mani that hasn't chipped almost right away. The only drawback to this nail spa is that they have exclusively OPI products. I prefer Essie or CND. Otherwise, the atmosphere is nice, and it seems clean. They also have a large color selection, and offer you a drink when you arrive, which I really appreciate. When I return I am going to opt for the mani/pedi combo, which is the best deal I've seen so far. Updated: I returned to Laguna, and had a different nail tech, Sandra--once again I had a flawless mani, with great attention to detail & a nice nail buff before polish application, which I really appreciate & don't see everywhere. Sandra gave me a nice dark color with nearly perfect edges. The best part was that the mani LASTED. I am so pleased with Laguna that I will return whenever I'm in town, and I am a tough, critical manicure customer! Yet another update: I keep going back, and my expectations continue to be met. I have never had the same nail tech, but I have had the same nearly perfect experience. Attention to detail gets an A+. Biggest praise- they are open on Sundays! Very rare for a salon, I booked the spa pedicure for a friend and myself. The spa is very clean and nice, you get a complimentary beverage. They have 8-10 pedicure stations, all with big leather massage chairs. The spa pedicure cost 40.00 and totally worth it, you get so much for 40- it's very pampering. My pedicurist did designs on my big toes- that was 8.00 and worth it! I really like that while we were in the drying room, the pedicurist came and got our money and took care of it so we didn't need to get up and go to counter to pay. The ONLY reason I'm giving this place 1 star is because Yvette did an awesome job with my pedicure. The owner and his wife was incredibly rude to myself and 2 other ladies. They seriously treat their employees as though they are working in a sweat shop. He was pacing back and forth checking how long they were taking. They were in a tizzy because there were 3 of us wanting a design...apparently he didn't want the workers to take the time. He made his wife leave her customer to do my design and she didn't do it correctly. Neither of them cared that it wasn't done properly. Before I left I let him know that I was unhappy with how him and his wife handled it and he told me not to come back then! Besides being rude and unprofessional they also weren't letting their employees take a break to eat. Several employees were making comments about how hungry they were and that they weren't allowed the time to take a break. I will never go back! read more

I made an appointment for two for pedi's and we were taken back and the pedicure was nice and no problem with how the pedicure was performed, they did however throw all the dead skin from being removed from your foot back into the water which is disgusting if you need your equipment cleaned off you can do it after not in my pedi thorn. My major problem with the entire service was that the girl giving me the service was not talking to me she was having a full blown conversation with the girl completely behind her doing someones else feet talking about her issue with her husband and her current text messages between them. And i just sat there listening to their lives and what they were going to do that weekend together. Atmosphere is nice but i wouldn't go back just because it made me feel awkward and out of place, like my business didn't matter. read more

Oh God It was Horrible! I went a few months ago to get a gel fill.And to fix a couple. The girl who did them seemed like she didn't know What she was doing! She glued my finger to hers TWICE! Then, She used a different color than I chose and said it would look better because I had a darker color on already.Well, NO, It was not cute at all!But I sat there almost 2 hours with her that I just wanted to go home so I left it Two days later, a few of them started lifting..within 1 week, They had ALL came off.And for the price I paid, I think they should have wonderful service.
