My friends and I stopped by to look around -- one of us was actually hoping to buy something for their garden. While browsing, we used the restroom (which was available to customers), and shortly after, the man working there -- an older gentleman with glasses -- snapped at us with an incredibly rude, "So are you going to buy something or what?" We calmly replied, "We're just looking around for now," and his response? "So you just come in here and use the bathroom and leave?" At that point, I literally had something in my hand I was planning to buy. But after being harassed like that, I put it right back down and walked out. That kind of accusatory tone and hostility is unacceptable. This kind of customer treatment is outrageous. I'm a frequent shopper of local nurseries, and I've never encountered anything like this. If you value a welcoming atmosphere and respectful service, steer clear of this place -- especially the man with glasses. There are plenty of other nurseries that will treat you like a customer, not a nuisance.

A 30 gallon, Lawn and Leaf size plastic trash bag. No paper wrap, no bubble wrap, nothing. Most ridiculous thing I've seen from a "upscale store." TRUE upscale starts from the beginning to the END of the sales experience. It gets better... Aesthetically pleasing store if you're into the upscale beach vibe "thing" for your home. Initially, service was wonderful, a pleasant lady asked if I needed any help. Found a lamp yay! Nice discount yay! Pay. They plop it into a CLEAR trash bag. I walk out with said bag. I see black dirt all over the cream shade. Walk back in. Uhh... excuse me I think you gave me a dirty bag. Lady started making an excuse...but no go because it's OBVIOUS the bag literally had dirt in it. No matter! They'll just use sticky tape to pick up the dirt from the shade and put it ANOTHER trashbag. PLUS, they took out the bulb that was already in the socket. Cheap much? Lol!!! I was dying laughing because I walked to Main Beach where my husband was waiting, all the while carrying a giant black trash bag like an off- season Santa sourcing stuff from the 'hood. Immediately we were greeted by great smells, music & a really friendly & helpful AREO employee, Diane. As we roamed the store, & you have to roam slowly because there are so many cool things inside, each of us went our separate ways & got caught up in things that interested each one of us. Diane was kind enough to listen to my dad chat her up about Louis L'amore novels while the rest of us had grand times finding treasures. Thanks Diane. You're a gem. But they would be happy to reschedule for Tuesday (3 days later on Veterans day). So I am supposed to be happy with that? No. Do I believe the 3rd party will deliver on a holiday? No. So while im on hold to talk to a supervisor (they sent me i didn't ask for one) at the 10 minute mark I got in my car to go to Home Depot. At the 26 minute mark as I'm turning into the parking lot, the supervisor comes on the line. By that time she is telling me how they will drop the delivery charge. You know for the all day window, on a holiday, by a 3rd party. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. So my response "im parking at Home Depot as we speak. Can I cancel my order with you, or do I go inside?"

We came for the lavender event. However, we stayed three hours shopped for gifts cards, the finest chocolates, and even found some wild blueberry jam. All of this walking around, looking at the numerous selection of roses they offer as well as lavenders. We had to stop into the farmhouse for lunch. This is the most amazing garden in Orange County's We always cherish our time here, winter spring, summer or fall .

We went Mother's Day weekend and the parking was horrible. Save yourself the headache and just valet your car. We walked in by their restaurant. They have carts available for you to use. The roses were hella expensive; $100 and more for a medium sized pot. They do offer a wide range of fruits and vegetables reasonably priced (~$8) and a variety of different types of flowers were scattered throughout the garden from small to large pots (~$10 - $40's) The garden was designed nicely with small shops offering decor and gardening tools/pot. They were way overpriced imo. Overall it was fun to walk around and see the different variety of plants and flowers. I would rather go to Lowe's/Home Depot or home goods for pots and decor though.

The owner is very sweet and her name is Kristin. I love the blankets that are hanging neatly to the left of the desk. Kristen has done a great job merchandising the unique inventory and has a variety of pretty and reasonably priced jewelry as well I highly recommend buying gifts here!
