One of the most incredible Native American jewelry stores I've ever visited! Sam is extremely knowledgeable, genuinely kind, and incredibly patient, and he treats every customer with respect. He never makes you feel uncomfortable when asking questions. The selection is outstanding, featuring both modern and vintage pieces created by Native artists. You can ask him about any item, and he'll gladly share the history behind it. This was definitely the highlight of my visit, and the pieces I purchased were absolutely stunning. The only challenge is choosing--there are so many beautiful options--but Sam will patiently guide you through the process. Highly Recommend! read more

Met the owner, who is extremely knowledgeable about Native American art. I'm an avid collector of Hopi katsinas and We know a number of carvers and artists. His primary area of expertise is in silver and turquoise jewelry, although he has a little bit of everything. Great shop, fair prices, I feel like I've made a new friend. read more

What a pleasure to meet and work with Sam the owner of this wonderful establishment. Sam is super friendly and offers an abundance of knowledge on Native American Jewelery. His expertise is outstanding. He assisted in replacing a cracked turquoise stone in my men's braclet cuff. It turned out magnificent and was done at a reasonable price! I've since acquired many other amazing pieces from him as well. I highly recommend visiting his shop and experiencing his hospitality!! read more

Definitely five stars; for quality, selection, value, and especially Service. Though it's not huge, we could spend hours at the gallery, just looking at the wide variety of beautiful Southwestern jewelry and artifacts. Sam's (the owner) knowledge about the items in the gallery (from large to small) is only exceeded by his friendliness and ability to guide us to the perfect items for gifts and remembrances of the good times we had in Laguna Beach. On our five vacation trips here, we have purchased multiple earrings, bracelets, pendants, rings, and even some pottery, at Kokopelli. It's our go to jewelry (and more) store. And, Sam has always made us feel like family, from the first time we walked in the store to browse a dozen years ago. read more

I just want to say that me and my girlfriend have been coming here for the past few months and it has been nothing but amazing. Sam is the coolest guy ever and is extremely welcoming and kind! If you like Native American jewelry and art and pottery you must visit. The goods in the store are curated beyond belief....with incredible value for discerning collectors and just people who appreciate beautiful things. The pricing of the store makes trading posts, the stores you see in Santa Fe look like a real bargain. Hard to believe that Laguna is the place to find great Native American work that beats what you can find in the southwest.... but it's true.. So please stop in. The owner, Sam, is an expert and loves what he does. You can come in to look, to learn and to just see beauty. He also is a willing teacher to really give you some information on your own items and future things you may be looking at. I appreciate him and his joy for what he collects, sells, and is an expert about. Do stop in.. right at the end of the block toward the city hall. read more

This is a long-standing jewelry store in the heart of the lovely and upscale village of Laguna Beach. One can hear the waves breaking from the front of the store because the beautiful Main Beach is just a one minute walk up the road! Kokopelli's deals in authentic Native American jewelry, and their pieces are gorgeous and quite high-end. The high-end is also where the price tag lies,my friends. I went to have a pair of old green turquoise earrings repaired, and Sam did me right. He is a good man; trustworthy, honest, and he has impeccable taste in jewelry. I didn't end up buying anything in the store because the prices are sky-high, but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't give them a chance. I saw a beautiful set of earrings that really spoke to me; I even gave them a name, "Pieces of Sky" due to the pale blue coloring of these ancient stones. Alas, my pocketbook would not stretch that far, but I am sure that a nice lady with the means has already scooped them up, along with their matching necklace by now. Good for her. Have a nice day! read more

I have bought several pieces from this Business over the years. I will be a lifelong customer. I wear my ring everyday and love it for the last 6 years. The staff and owner are amazing. The value is hard to put into words. My ring means so much more than that. It's a statement not only artistically but a sign of my commitment to my wife that I love more than life itself. read more

A truly unique & interesting jewelry shop in downtown Laguna. It's nature meets art, meets beautiful jewelry! Lots of hand made by lots of local artists. I love the Native American inspired work, and the earth elements infused designs. So many choices of necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings, fancy wood pens, and even some sculptures. The hard part is trying to decide which piece to purchase...lol! I absolutely love Amber, and they had quite a few to choose from, but I also love butterflies just as much! One artist used actual butterfly wings inside the jewelry...both necklace & earrings to match, and more than one design too. It was tough to not just buy them all...ha ha...but I went with one of the butterfly necklaces crafted by a California artist who has been designing since before I was born! So glad to be able to assist in the continuation of a fellow Cali resident artist. Looking forward to more designs by Holly Yashi. read more

You gotta stop by this place at least once, if not for the jewelry do it to meet the owner, truly a unique and authentic soul

If you are ever looking for authentic American Indian Jewelry, look no further. Sam is the most honest man in the business and has a lot of knowledge of these pieces. I went in today to have him look at some of the pieces my grandmother and mother left me and he purchased the whole lot for an extremely good price, I would say way more than fair. He is patient and welcoming. Please go see him for these type of items. He also just opened a gift store next door with beautiful items from different cultures. Believe me as I drive from Palm Springs to Laguna because of his integrity. Go see him and enjoy both stores with gorgeous items. Keep up the awesome service Sam. Thank You, Lee read more

This is Laguna Beach's best kept secret. I wanted to get my best friend something blue to wear for her wedding day and since turquoise is her birthstone I thought this place would be perfect. I was right not they had so many turquoise pendants, earrings, bracelets, rings and even barrettes to choose from. After a long time deciding which by the way the guy helping me was very nice and not pushy at all I got her a soft blue Zuni link bracelet which she absolutely loved! I picked up a gorgeous opal necklace and earring set too that I just had to have. They truly have the best selection of Native American jewelry that I have ever seen! I can't wait for another excuse to go back! read more

Just visited Kokopelli again, I always make sure to stop when vacationing in Southern Cali. I picked up my third piece a beautiful reversible Zuni pendant which had lots of different colored stones on one side and a silver engraved motif on the other side which I found out from the Native American gentleman that works there is actually a Navajo story engraving. I went in there looking for a unique cross but fell in love with the heart pendant. I love having access to so many original, quality Native American and southwestern pieces without having to travel there. read more

I just love this place! Every single time I visit the area I always find a treasure at Kokopelli Gallery and have built up quite a collection of beautiful jewelry. I was here last week and fell in love with a ring that was much too small for me. Sam the owner said, "no problem"! "We can size it and ship it to you". Just a few days later I received my gorgeous ring with a personal thank you note from Sam. The service provided by this wonderful place is truly exceptional and I would encourage anyone looking for some truly unique and stunning jewelry to visit. Thank you Sam! My family collects Native American and Southwestern jewelry so I have seen many collections and galleries, but Kokopelli in Laguna Beach is my favorite. I can't believe I have lived in Laguna Niguel for almost 7 years and I just discovered this place last weekend. I love southwestern jewelry and art and am so thrilled that this store exists so close to me! Usually native american stores that I've gone to just carry all traditional jewelry or all modern but this store has a nice mix of both plus other unique jewelry as well. My mom is a big native american pottery collector so when she visits in February I'll be sure to bring her back since they have such a wide array of those too read more
