Espresso made well. Not as good as Italy but still very good.

Theres no Lagkagehuset I didn't like in Copenhagen. The service is friendly and helpful. They don't deal with cash it's all Apple Pay or card tap. They're all over the city. What's great here? The breads, cakes, pastries and sandwiches. They have vegan sandwiches also, paired with their unforgettable seeded ryes. It's about Danish bread and butter here and it's super addicting, like German breads. Service is very helpful and efficient and it's true of over 15 locations I've visited. This is a review of one of the multiple stands at Terminal 2. Addicting great breads/pastries, helpful and efficient service with a smile? Green utensils? What's there not to love? End of Yelp.

My last purchase at Lagkagehuset ever again. After 10 years of loyal purchases the moment has come to say goodbye. This normally wonderful delicatessen of bakery was almost half the size of what it normally is. And when approached the girls behind the counter and mentioning this - the answer was: "yes we hear this a lot but it all depends on baker that makes them. Jesus!!! Schocking to say the least. Talking about shrinkflation. I wouldnt mind paying more to get the same quality but this was today shocking, more dry than usual and half of normal size. But RIP Lagkagehuset for this. Now the choice going forward is easy .

I was thrilled that my layover was in Copenhagen because I had missed the rye chocolate treats from this place. It's located inside the airport, and while the lines can be long, the service was great, and everything I ordered was delicious.

Two locations at the airport one down the main hall as you walk towards gate C & D which is the busier one. 2nd one located on the opposite side close to terminal A and has less items and less of a wait. I stumbled upon them just looking for something to eat ended up ordering a combo which offered 5 selection of French baguette sandwiches with a bear for 99dkk. Opted for the chorizo and humus. Little tough for a cold sandwich as expected, but did its job. Got the prosciutto and cheese flat bread which they will reheat for you that was not bad at all. The bread had a good crunch and meat cheese was balance and not too salty, than had the Danish airy and flaky with little yolk in the middle. After a bite into it, that's when I knew had to take a box home for the family. Of course pastries only brings the gluttony out of me. In addition to the Danish went little man IOU's and brought home a Christiana pie. It's a big fruit creme pie. Not as sweet as I thought it would be pretty refreshing with the creme which is light. I would recommend bringing some Danish home.

Lagkagehuset is one of my go to bakeries in Copenhagen. They have multiple locations in the city (couple on the walking street) & airport. They have an abundant selection of breads, desserts & coffee. I've had a few of their chocolate items. Chocolate Bread (simple & a choco delight), Brownies/bars & cinnamon buns infused with chocolate. Some of the locations have sandwiches. The Salmon Baguette is tasty. Friendly service & reasonable prices. A proper Danish bakery/cafe.

    Chocolate rye, Danish, and Cappuccino

Lagkagehuset has got to be one of the best-looking bakery chains operating in the Copenhagen airport--it's the perfect place to pick up a pastry, bread, or coffee before or after a flight. On my visit, I had the chocolate rye bread, which were small rolls chockful of dark chocolate chunks and covered in pieces of crushed walnuts--how delicious! I also tried the Danish with custard and a cappuccino--on top of the fair prices, the service was so quick and friendly as well!

Chorizo and hummus on rye....way too dry

This bakery is located in the Copenhagen airport. I wanted a place to get some good Danish to bring home. I had read that this was a chain around Denmark but it had some okay reviews so I decided to give it a try. While I was looking for a Danish, I decided to get a sandwich to have later on the plane. There was a long line but it moved fairly fast. We ordered six Danish to bring home and each picked out a sandwich. I got a chorizo sandwich on rye. The associate helping us was nice and offered honest opinions of what to get and what was not worth the money. We took him up on his suggestions. When I got on the plane, I had my sandwich, while it had some hummus, it was so incredibly dry that I could not enjoy it. It was a tad expensive and only had about 3 slices of chorizo. When I got home, we opened the Danish and realized one was never given so we were short, I guess we should have checked before leaving. The Danish were good but I would suggest passing on a sandwich. Also check your bag before leaving. The customer service though was very good.

Amazing service and even better basked goods. Of course I got a Danish (even though they don't call them danishes). I got there when the two adjacent Kiosks opened, so I really can't say about the rest of the day, but in the morning, the pastries were perfect. The Danish I got was flakey, Moist, and had just the right amount of jam. Hope to be back!

Items selected: Custard Danish Cinnamon Swirl Sugar Rye Banana Muffin with Chocolate Frosting Blueberry Muffin Featuring several locations across Denmark, the first one encountered in the post-security concourse at Copenhagen International Airport, Lagkagehuset has made a name for itself as one of the city's best old-time bakeries, many of the recipes dating back a hundred years or more without a lot of novel items, the focus instead on traditional Danish Pastries. Likened by locals to France's Paul, a chain that is still rooted in tradition and thus willing to take some extra steps in order to produce baked goods worth going out of one's way for as opposed to just an easy snack, it was admittedly a combination of convenience and nearly eighteen hours of travel that the stall at CPH was visited immediately after clearing customs, a 21h45 arrival finding the staff just beginning to clean up for the evening, but still smiling and happy to make a sale. At this point in a bit of a hurry; baggage claim, a cab ride and hotel check-in still to follow, it was after a quick perusal of items both foreign and familiar that the decision was made to invest in a little of each, a 2-for-1 deal offered unexpectedly for Sugar Rye with a texture not unlike that of a Brownie and a slight sour taste that found its foil in chopped Nuts and Pearl Sugar. Amused by the Danish labeling a "Danish" as a Danish, the Custard variety selected as opposed to Jam largely by default, fans of the style typically served in America will be happy to know that it differs little from that at Lagkagehuset, the laminated Bread baking up puffy with an eggy center plus sliced Almonds and a two ribbons of Icing. Calling the Cinnamon Roll a Cinnamon 'Swirl,' the spice also featured in slices of Cake and a few other styles of Rolls or Buns, Lagkagehuset's take on the popular Pastry uses the same Dough as that of the Danish coiled around Butter that becomes thick as the heats, the center almost a semi-solid Pudding by this time in the evening and exceedingly rich, even without a Cinnabon-esque ladle of Frosting. Passing on the Truffles and Marshmallows for now, the last of the day's Muffins beckoning even at such a late hour, it was with a noteworthy risk of dryness that both Blueberry and Banana were selected, the former a bit odd as it was more like the Dough had been infused with Blueberry Juice than a proper version with whole Berries while the Banana was just about as good as it gets, the inside still spongy despite a lot of over-ripe Fruit while the smooth Buttercream on top used Dark Chocolate instead of Milk to help counter the sweetness.

Dare I say that Copenhagen has some of the best baked goods in the world? It's certainly true at the higher end restaurants. Even a chain like Lagkagehuset, with this branch being in the airport puts out some outstanding backed goods. While waiting to leave for home, got an excellent rhubarb (the Danes love their rhubarb) croissant. Since it's in the airport the lines are somewhat long and not completely organized. Otherwise they make a good product and it's way better than American airport food!

The pastries are great but the sandwiches are horrible. The bread is rockhard, dry and tastes dull. Go to Joe and the juice instead!

Hopefully, this will be helpful later on even if not now. They seem to get their delivery of baked goods for the day sometime after 9:30 but before noon. We were transferring through Copenhagen Airport and I was specifically kept on eye this kiosk as soon as we landed because this was my last chance to get Lagkagehuset's strawberry cake. And unlike their other locations, the labels are in English. Conveniently located in the crossroads between a bunch of gates and just outside the international terminal. Lagkagehuset (translated to Cake House) is a Danish chain bakery and coffee shop with dozens of locations across Denmark. They have a wide variety of bread loaves, rolls, and buns, including the famous Danish Rye sourdough. There's pastry, bread, sandwiches, salads, handheld pizzas, coffee, and hot chocolate, which makes it great for breakfast, brunch, or a little lunch. In the time I was around the kiosk, there was a consistent heavy flow of foot traffic. So if you're in a rush, there's a chance it might not be a quick pick me up if you're going out of your way and short on time. Their sausage rolls are great for breakfast and the marshmallow puffs weren't as sweet as I thought it would be. But my foremost favorite REMAINS to be that strawberry cake, which I'm so glad I could get then carry onto the plane with me. XD A nice treat for that 12-hour flight.

Went to their kiosk location there. Selection of pastries was good. Display was well stocked. I chose a couple of pastries for our flight, and my wife chose one. Poppyseed Pastry was her choice. She liked it, and I didn't even get a bite. :( Chocolate Croissant was one of my selections. It was good, but only worth 3 stars. Did not taste fresh at all. Cinnamon Swirl was a better choice. I would buy this one again. (3.5 stars) Nice 3 star destination at the Copenhagen Airport. Next time I am in Denmark, I will stop by Lagkagehuset again.

They had a great menu of different items from pastries, sandwiches, fresh juices/smoothies and espresso drinks. This cafe's menu items reminded me of a Whole Foods type of vibe, very healthy and fresh. I ordered both a savory potato type pastry that had a bit of a spice kick to it, and also a cardamom bun. I enjoyed both. I also ordered a fresh ginger and carrot juice since I felt slightly under the weather from traveling from Hawaii to Copenhagen. My cappuccino was excellent as well. Sundays they offer a special brunch menu where you select your entrees and side and it comes as a set meal. We came in early during a weekday morning and it was empty. But as we were leaving the place started getting very busy. Customer service was pleasant enough and our order came out quickly. In the short time that we were visiting Denmark, we visited Wulff og Konstali Food Shop twice! It's got a cozy ambiance, the cutest décors, and your seating options are either indoors at a long, communal table, or outdoors at picnic tables. The ordering process at Wulff og Konstali can be a bit overwhelming/confusing as there are no signage with instructions. After talking with some of the people already in line, we figured out what we needed to do: grab a table, pick up a Brunch sheet, fill it out, hop back into line, pay, and (not-so-patiently) wait for your food. The first time we visited was on a Wednesday, we stayed indoors, and we ordered two Brunches (one 5 pcs, one 7pcs). Together, we got to try 12 dishes: the Almond Croissant, the Danish Style Poppy Seed Croissant, 2 Fried Eggs, the Scrambled Eggs, the 1/2 Avocado with Sesame Seeds and Olive Oil, the Tomatoes with Olive Oil and Oregano, the Fruits of the Day, the Høost Organic Danish Cheese with Honey and Roasted Almonds, the Skyr (Organic Icelandic Yogurt) with Sea Buckthorn and Honey Roasted Spelt Flakes, the Fennel Salami with Pickled Fennel, the Smoked Salmon with Artichoke Cream and Dill, and the Vanilla Waffle with Salt Caramel and Freezedried Raspberries. Everything we ordered from the Brunch Menu was finger-licking-delicious. The 1/2 Avocado with Sesame Seeds and Olive Oil was smothered in sea salt and it was a little too salty for me. The Vanilla Waffle with Salt Caramel and Freezedried Raspberries erred on the sweeter side and we couldn't finish it. I'd skip over the Fruits of the Day. My favorites were the Danish Style Poppy Seed Croissant and the Smoked Salmon with Artichoke Cream and Dill. The second time we came back, we were experts on what to do--we came on a Friday, and we opted to enjoy our food outside and bask in the sun. We ordered one Danish Style Poppy Seed Croissant and one coffee. Both were delicious and I made it a point to save half of the pastry for our flight home. If I ever find myself in Copenhagen again, I know I'd be back at Wulff og Konstali in a heartbeat!

"Everything you look at can become a fairy tale and you can get a fairy tale from everything you…read moretouch." - Hans Christian Andersen Hej! Absolutely the most delicious Brød I had in Denmark! And trust me, I'm not being vulgar or sexist lol! If you're not fluent in Danish... Brød simply means bread. Ya! It's more than just bread! Bageriet Brød is located in the Vesterbro neighborhood of København and popular with the local Danes, so you pretty much know it's legit. I planned to bike over one early morning, but since WiFi was non-existent on the streets I couldn't unlock a bike, so did it the old fashioned way and walked about six blocks. Not the worse thing since I planned on carbing up! It's in an old neighborhood lined with boutiques and cafes, most still closed that early. Bageriet Brød is open! Yasss! I enter to Danes ordering morning Brød, coffee, etc. It gives me just enough time to peruse the menu in.. Danish! Lol! No worries since I do speak a little French, Spanish and English which does nothing here lol. Honestly most Danes in København speak perfect English, so no worries, mon. Order away... There's really no line, per se, but Danes are honest, never in a rush, the line is by honor system, so even tho two people slid ahead of me, when it was my turn, everyone turned my way lol. So I ordered the Morning Cinnamon Bun, Almond Croissant, Latté. The young Danish lady making my Latté was polite and spoke perfect English. Definitely easy on the eyes, but hey what's my verdict? I'll tell ya once I cross the street and find a bench. I decide to eat the Morning Cinnamon Bun first! Oh my! Each bite literally melted in my mouth! Crisp exterior with soft interior. So delicious! The Latté on point! Maybe not the best I've had, but I think the cute Dane who mix'd it - certainly convinced me it was the best! :D I decided to eat the Almond Croissant later, which ended being as soon as I got back to my hotel! And it was as amazing as the Bun I had earlier! Just Wow! After reading the reviews on Yelp & Google I knew my wants! :D Denmark still uses the native Dansk Krone currency rather than the Euro, fortunately, most businesses, will gladly accept your credit card. I also reached out to Rachel, former San Francisco Yelper, and now expat living in København that informed me of the Bageriet Brød and iconic Tartin Bakery connection. It all made sense after the fact! If you're unfamiliar with Tartin in San Francisco it is a pilgrimage for lovers of baked goods! Story goes that the owner of Tartin influenced Bageriet Brød to the point that they have some of his secret recipes! I've had Tartin before and I admit the quality is very familiar! What a small loving world we live in, huh?! In the end, I highly recommend Bageriet Brød in København! Amazing baked goods that will knock your Ecco's off! Just remember to bring your CC unless you be carrying Dansk Krone on ya! Jeg elsker også dig! And yes, I believe in fairy tales... :)
