Also one of the better bakeries in town. It's just a little out of the way but totally worth the transportation to go over there. The whole place just smells like fresh bread and pastries.. I came in the morning but I could have sat there for hours if I wanted to. We got the cardamom bun which was a 9/10 possibly even a 10/10. Flakey, airy, layered, buttery, sugary, floral, damn... so good. the bread with jam and cheese which was a 8/10. Raw in ingredients and you can taste every individual part from the cheese, bread, and jam. This whole bakery is a 10/10 forsure. Buy a baguette and eat it on a train and if you're in a dangerous situation, whack the person with the leftovers.

I don't particularly like breakfast foods so bakeries are not even on my radar. In fact, I don't particularly like bread either so that's two strikes against bakeries for me. Lille of course has all that but really what I came for us the sausage roll. Think it the best sausage pizza you've ever had, remove all the sausage toppings and stuff it inside a crusty buttery croissant. That's a Lille sausage roll. I had this and a beer for breakfast. Yes, for breakfast because it's acceptable in Europe. I would have ordered two but I needed the stomach space for Reffen which is only a few streets away. Great spot.

For those who like bakeries, this place will not disappoint you. Located in Reffen to where you can take a short bus ride from central station. Reffen is a street food park located by water. I had a late breakfast in mind on my way to Lille. Lille is located near the street food park but it is not part of it. An old garage is converted to serve as a bakery and it works perfectly well. It's worth to mention that the famous Alchemist is also located in the neighborhood. There is indoors and outdoors sitting at Lille. The staff is very pleasant, everything is self served. You pick up your order and find yourself a spot to sit down and eat. I ordered a Berliner, tomato focaccia and flakey pastry made with local herbs. My favorites were the last two. If you are a donut person, order the Berliner, too!there are sandwiched and salads on the menus as well. This place is definitely worth a trip for breakfast or brunch. One of the best bakeries I have ever been.

Lille is the hippest new bakery in CPH. In the last year, Refshaleøen has become Copenhagen's new foodie island and I'm so happy that Lille is part of the growth. The bakery was kickstarted by three former employees at Noma's sister restaurant, 108. They use baking methods inspired by Tartine Bakery in San Francisco, i.e. my all time favorite bakery! My friend and I both ordered the bread with cheese and ham (55), filter coffee (30), and shared a raspberry sugar doughnut with custard filling (30). Everything was delicious - I highly recommend both the sourdough bread and the custard doughnut. The menu is on the expensive side, however the food is high quality and they prioritize using local ingredients. Lille is also part event space and hosts weekly community dinners. I hope to return for one of their events in the near future!

Unfortunately, Lille Bakery is a bit outside of the city, but you must go at least once if you are in Copenhagen. You can take the bus out there or bike to enjoy delicious breads and pastries. I had a wonderful donut and a classic bread, cheese, and jam breakfast. They also had a delicious cider when I went in the winter. The space has a stripped-down, simple, industrial feel that fits in with its surroundings.

Lagkagehuset is a renowned bakery and café located in the heart of Copenhagen, celebrated for its…read moreexquisite menu of pastries, breads, and beverages. Now, where did the name originate? "The name comes from the appearance of the first bakery, which was a square building with alternating cream-colored layers resembling a layer cake." This bakery also serves breakfast items, brod (open face )sandwich and coffees. Here is a sample of pastry offerings in Danish: Wienerbrød: The general term for what English speakers call "Danish pastries". Kanelsnegl: A cinnamon roll. Spandauer: A pastry typically filled with jam or custard. Frøsnapper: A pastry sprinkled with seeds. Tebirkes: A poppy seed pastry. There are numerous locations for this bakery. I visited the location in main hall of Kobenhaven K or Central Station before catching my train to Kronborg Castle. The space was filled with people who were grabbing a ticket and then wait for ticket number to be called. I was indecisive and thought I saw a pastry with lemon filling. The employee who seemed a bit flustered told me that it was not lemon and she did not have anything with lemon. It turned out to be vanilla custard which was just as good. I also tried the green sprinkled marshmallow ball. She placed my two items in their own bag. I wanted a shopping bag which she snidely says "It cost 5 krone". Unfortunately, my New York response was snide as well, "I don't care". The two pastries were delicious. However, service needs to be as exquisite as the items you sell, unfortunately this location is lacking in that. There is another, smaller located downstairs from concourse whose employees are sweeter. Nok sagt or enough said.

Most of the baked goods were sold, so asked the attendant what popular item I should get. Probably wasn't a great question since most of the items were gone, but suggested a Danish with almond filling covered in chocolate ( Gammeldags Julebolle) for $4.89 (converted). Brought it back to my hotel to consume. I thought it was OK, very dense and definitely one would fill you up (couldn't finish it). Much prefer an almond croissant.

I stood there for a few minutes and didn't understand why several others who came after me got served first. This is a Copenhagen bakery chain, but I like this location because it has a beautiful view of the canal-lined houses of Christianshavn. I didn't find too many desserts here, but got a ham and cheese sandwich. It was simple, but very good. The ham and cheese were flavorful together, and the creamy Dijon mustard was especially delicious. I do wish there is an option to toast the sandwich, but it was pretty good cold too.

She made an alternate suggestion, nuts and vanilla cream Danish. I also wanted the Xmas tree marshmallow treat again. She placed it in a small box as to not have it crushed. Wow! A small kind way of packing it as opposed to how København H( Central Station) placed it in a paper bag. The store is bigger than other locations. It was busy however the staff did a great job in staying sweet, calm and line was organized beautifully. Thank you! Great experience and delicious treat!
