Then I found Turkey Hill Ice cream Experience only 30min away from Lancaster, and decided to visit. We bought the double scoop experience (comes with ice cream test lab) and obviously that was the highlight of the place! The test lab is about 45min experience and the whole thing with self-guided tour takes about 1hr 30min to 2 hours depending how crowded it is. The visit was fun and of course my 5-year-old daughter had a great time eating tons of ice cream!

Admission prices are reasonable, and who doesnt love unlimited samples of iced tea, and lemonade, icecream on a hot day. Vistors have a choice between one scoop, two scoop, or three scoop attraction. I choose one scoop; hilights of my visit- learning history of Turkey Hill, process of icecream being made, creating a virtual icecream flavor, watching the production , live from interactive camera in one of the exhibits. Be sure to take the few moments, to watch the introduction video. My favorite ice cream sample flavors were Graham Slam & Blueberry Lemon Pound Cake. An attraction must, well visiting Lancaster, PA. My recommendation would be too sell a few more flavors that you offer , with unlimited tastings. My favorite was orange icedtea.

While he was nice, he didn't have a lot to add off the track I pretty sure he had memorized. I actually feel like I heard most about which monuments had the best restrooms than much of anything else (we never asked about bathroom situations). Would I book this again, no. Here is what I learned, you still walk a fair amount into these monuments from where they drop you in the golf cart vs. the people who are on the bikes and scooters. If you're really looking for the least amount of walking and able to operate those that would save you time and money. Overall, there was no value for the price tag for us and the guide kind of ruined the experience.

Nathan, our tour guide was so friendly, personable and most important knowledgeable without feeling like we were in a classroom being lectured. He gave us plenty of time at all the sites. He even dropped us off at a Metro station after the tour and told us how to get to where we wanted to go, Postal Museum. Dropped us at Gallery Place and took the red line two stops to Union Station and the museum was right next door! Just wanted to make sure Nathan was acknowledged for his premiere service and I wanted to let you know how much my sister and I enjoyed the tour and set up our Saturday for a great day. We were on the first tour of the day to see where everything was and then spent the rest of the day going back to those places we wanted to see more of. And there were only 4 of us on the tour! THAT has never happened to me. A microphone for the tour guide and speaker wouuld be helpful if you are sitting further back in the golf cart. But overall. . . a 10 out of 10!

Evening view of the memorials and the historical sites was spectacular, especially all the cherry blossoms fully blooming :) After the tour, our hotel was only a block away so we planned to just walk back to the hotel, but the guide offered to dropped us off at the hotel we stayed. It was very sweet of him when he didn't need to do so. Overall, we had a blast and highly recommend this tour :)

I booked and made reservation at Harbour Inn- I love that I stayed at before. Approached by a spry lady, I was asked my name - she turned out to be the granddaughter of this 1926 New England Charter, Capt Iris. Very personable and knowledgable as she pointed out things along St Michaels banks e.g., The Perry Inn and the focal point filming of The wedding crashers. The name Selina, itself had family virtue and significance-pronounced different ways, the one I remember is as in Selena Gomez. We were also quizzed on how many tons the vessel weighed. My guess way low-16 tons!!. We marveled at the woodwork and upkeep of the ship and hours to maintain- not to mention gas cost. We were offered our choice of beverage- I had a tasty Chardonnay, although I'm not sure the brand. The first mate. Was agile at that point coasting in a nice spot to put up the sail, beautiful as the sky was starting to cast its evening glow with the sunset. It was truly relaxing as we made small talk about catfish and enjoyed the ambiance. I then had a second Pinot Noir however the water being a little choppy declined a third- we were Rockin ! a little with wind picking up. It was a very enjoyable outing and I would do it again in a heartbeat! Next time I want to be at the helm lol, if only for a photo shot. Mike was our driver and he was FANTASTIC!…read more We took the "history 101" tour and could never have seen a portion of what Mike had shown us, had we been on our own. We were able to see sites on narrow historic streets; UA has 6-seat electric golf cart type vehicles. Other tour busses and trolleys simply can't maneuver those parts of the city! Mike was personable, friendly and knew so much! I have a masters in history and I was fully impressed with his wealth of knowledge and interesting anecdotes. The price of our tour was so affordable as so worth every penny! The only thing left to do was to grab lunch and talk about all the sites Mike had shown us - and no tired feet!
