This was such an amazing experience. I went for the first time this week and had all of my dental needs met. Everyone from the front office staff to the dental assistants were kind, compassionate and extremely knowledgeable. I am usually an anxious patient but the staff made me feel at ease. The office is thoughtfully set up, with a mission statement posted, raffle, snacks and water in the waiting room, and a comfort menu for patients in each treatment room. I got 2 crowns done by this dentist office and they did a shitty job. The second I left that office I was in pain. I came back multiple times and all they did was file both crowns down! They look like baby teeth now! I was charged $1500 for this to later find out I need a root canal on the first crown which they were going to charge me $1000 or they said if I wanted to wait for my insurance to kick in it would be cheaper!! This whole "we care about you" is a bunch of BS! All they care for is the money!!!! A root canal should have been done from the beginning. Now l'm in debt for a job that was done horribly. I ended up going to a different dentist for a second opinion and he said they did a horrible job! He sent me to a root canal specialist and he said it was infected!!!! Wtf!!!! From October 2023 to February 2024 I was in pain! read more

Good Part: The office is well equipped. The dentists and hygienists are very well mannered and very well trained. Everyone is welcoming. Bad Part: Every single visit feels like a sales pitch. You have to be very careful for "extra" services that are not covered or only partially covered by your insurance to be added. I have spent thousands for services that could be have been much less costly and covered my excellent insurance policy from one of the largest technology companies in the world. My children whose teeth are nearly perfect were constantly being pressured to start on the invisalign treatment course. I was told I needed a specialized cleaning which again was going to be very expensive and out of pocket. When I explicitly asked to just go with the regular cleaning I was refused once by the hygienist and then again by the dentist. I since had found another dentist Dr Edward Moon and have never looked back. Not only do I receive exceptional care with zero sales pitch. The cleaning services I get I 100% covered by my insurance and I have made a tremendous progress in my dental and gum health in under a year and with zero out of pocket cost. read more

I'm going to start off by saying "I hate going to the dentist, doctor, etc". I'm the type of person that typically won't go unless I'm in major pain or feel like I'm dying. So now that I'm trying to take care of my teeth and avoiding dentures and wanting to keep my teeth for as long as possible, I have to admit that the team at Ladera Dentistry is truly great. I've been going for about 3 years now and the office is always super clean, appointment times are always met, dentists are honest and have soft hands, and the staff is incredibly friendly. I don't recommend this place. My wife had an appointment at 9am and was advised to be there 15 minutes prior to the appointment. When she arrived the office was closed and there was a sign that says they were having a team huddle. When they finally opened up at 9:02am they didn't see her until 9:12am. The dental assistant asked her a series of questions unrelated to her teeth and when she finally was seen by the dentist she was denied services because she opted out of x-rays and fluoride. What's bothersome is that when she initially made the appointment weeks ago my wife informed them over the phone that she did not want to have any x-rays done or fluoride used. Turns out they don't get reimbursed much without the x-rays and the fluoride from the insurance company. So it's not all about the patient it's all about money yet they put on a facade of trying to "connect" with you by asking you a ton of questions such as where do you live, work, how many kids do you have, what were they for Halloween, what are you cooking for Thanksgiving , etc. those are all questions that were asked. Do yourself a favor and don't go there if you're not willing to get x-rays done or fluoride. Otherwise, you'll be denied services as well. Cheers! read more
